Curse? What curse? I guess folks in Louisiana don't like being challenged for crawfish supremacy. My family has been going to this festival for years and it is the biggest event in Tualatin. 2010 marks the 60th year of the festival, which makes it the nation's oldest. On Friday night, admission is free and the festival is held in the Tualatin Commons around the lake. The Tualatin Riverkeepers [1] were renting boats, so it was quite funny to see this quiet man made lake filled with canoes and kayaks for the night. Great music (sadly no Zydeco), lots of dancing and food booths. Mostly local restaurants, but My Brother's Crawfish comes every year. I was a little annoyed that you had to buy festival food tickets and couldn't pay vendors directly. On Saturday, they charge admission and the festival expands to Tualatin Community Park. The day is filled with parades, a 5k fun run, dog show and crawfish eating contests. So if you don't have plans today, and aren't afraid of an old voodoo high priestess, get yourself to Tualatin. We had fun..My boyfriend entered the crawfish eating contest, he got 2nd place !! It got pretty hot there mid afternoon there wasnt alot of shade in the festival, they did have cooling stations but should have had a few more to make it more enjoyable. I was surprised there wasnt more vendors there, I was hoping to shop some booths but there were only a few. We had great corndogs and beer though... Overall fun time !! read more

My first outing here, but it definitely won't be the last. Lots of booths from a variety of vendors from food and drinks, to realtors and other small businesses showing their services and wares. Tualatin Crawfish Festival - Get some! - Festivals Near Me

Now that is a family festival the way it should be done! The kids had a beserk area with water guns games etc.. The adults and teens had excellent live music from a professional stage. Adirondack chairs, shade umbrellas to relax and just listen to the music or for the daring a dance area as well. Water and ice supplied everywhere. For those of age there were excellent beer and wine offerings. I settled on jambalaya,a foot long Cajun corn dog, Provincial wine and an elephant ear for dessert. I WILL BE BACK. kudos for Tualatin for having a theme that is rare in Oregon. Oh by the way these are Oregon crawfish, If there was a negative it would be limited parking but that only means I will come earlier next year and have even more fun. . read more

WOW this was not a Crawfish Festival. Waste of time, money and stomach space. There was only one booth in the whole place selling boiled crawfish. I paid $18 for 10 over salty, dried out crawfish, 4 pieces of potatoes and a 3" piece of corn on the Cobb. Are you kidding me, that's sooooo overpriced. So hey I thought hmmm let's get some jambalaya sine I'm sure that's not enough food for my son and myself, well ugh grosss the jambalaya was burnt tasting so I only ate a fourth of it and threw the rest away, which was $9. Shame on y'all...I work too hard for my $$$$ for astonishing bad food and there weren't that many vendors selling anything just booths trying to get you to sign up for stuff you don't want. I know this is a very harsh review but this was this was NOT a true Crawfish Festival . read more

I notified them, if I can be a vendor @ this event, and I wonder why THEY didn't let me know I COULDN'T AFFORD to vend there! I still want to go, and we're planning this weekend. I browse through their website, and there are tons to do for 2 days, you can rent a hotel nearby and stay for 2 days. I will write an update, once we have gone & try it out. read more

Overcooked crawfish, bland and just yuck! The event was very lackluster - probably because we were there on a Sunday. Parking was confusing. If you were VIP, you parked in the lot next to the festival. Otherwise, street parking or park blocks away. First and last time we will attend. read more

Bentley Soaps had the pleasure of being a vendor at the 2017 Tualatin Crawfish Festival. This was our first year as a vendor at this festival, but if I had to compare my experience to other festivals, the management team was outstanding. I was very impressed with how often the management team checked in and made sure the vendors had water and to see if we needed anything. Plus the golf cart help transporting vendors products was incredible. I had the opportunity of meeting many new patrons and it appeared that people loved the live entertainment. The Dancehall Days were amazing and had patrons and vendors up and dancing their entire performance. There was plenty of things for people to do between the live entertainment, vendor booths, games, and beer garden. If you haven't been to the Tualatin Crawfish Festival before or are thinking about returning in the future, I would come check it out next year. The new management team takes great pride in putting together this event and I am positive you will enjoy yourself next year. This is so not a crawfish festival! We paid $29 for about 2-3 lbs of crawfish. The website said a bucket... What we got was a burger basket. They were clean, but super bland. And they called that a family meal. Where I come from, I'd put away 10-15lbs easily. I think they should advertise as more of a Swedish-type event. The South will always hold the crown for Crawfish in my book. The people who sat near us complained the whole entire time about having to work for the meat in the tails! It was ridiculously funny. That's part of the experience. The beignets... No. Just no! Those aren't beignets. Nice try, but I doubt we'll be back. The main event (the crawfish) played a very small role in this festival, so that was disappointing. read more
