The theater was nice. We watched a movie at 9:30 and it was very quiet and low traffic, which was nice cause we had a toddler watching his first movie ordering the food was fine. The workers didn't seem the most thrilled to be there. The seats were fairly comfy. Some of the numbers were broken off, and the cushioning was pretty torn up the seat I was in didn't recline as much as the rest of the group groups. Nothing quite like watching a movie like Wicked while sitting in D-Box seats! What a hoot... it was my first experience with these seats and this movie was perfect for showing off the capabilities of these moving and vibrating seats. Concessions are centrally located as you enter the theater, with pre-order available and ready for pickup without having to wait in line. The theater and restrooms are clean and staff is ready to help if needed. Overall, a good experience all the way around. PS. I so rarely go to this theater as it is quite the drive for me. There are so many theaters far closer to me. I really wanted to see Wicked in the theater but with it being a very long movie, it became very difficult and the theaters it was available in were smaller and smaller. Then I finally found that perfect window to get in and see it plus I had a $3 off concessions coupon which was expiring the day I was going! I do like their movie pass a lot - so beyond worth it since it gets you one movie a month and money off your concessions so you are saving money by getting it and if you do not use your free movie, it goes to the next month. I once was not able to go for three months and then saw three movies in a week. I am not on their payroll - I just like saving money and I go to A LOT of movies so I have memberships at Regal and Hollywood Theater also since I am at one cinema or another at least 1-2 times a week. I got to the theater just before the time to start and, as we all know...you have nearly a half an hour of ads and movie previews, although I do like the previews... I like them less now that ridiculous commercials are in there BUT I try to get into my seat with some time to spare! As someone with mobility challenges I have to park ADA and this theater is a decently long walk from the parking lot. It is right by the food court though so a pro tip if you are going when the mall is still open... grab some food before you watch a movie and get a smaller popcorn but I was impressed with the popcorn - it was very fresh and delicious. I also appreciate it when I request the epic butter and they layer. But back to the walking - I bypassed a family of five who were taking up the entire front entrance in full movie negotiations for what to see but kindly let me jump in. Another benefit with your movie pass is you can grab a seat in advance with no charge extra. I discovered that and LOOOOVE it. At first I was just trying to see if the theater was going to be packed - I love you but also I do not want to sit near you or your screaming child. I got to concessions check out and noooooo where did my coupon go?? That one time I must have accidentally swiped wrong or something but I looked and looked and was so mad at myself. I just said I was bummed but ugh... she seriously did not charge my drink which was like twice the coupon discount. THAT, my friends, is customer service. I did not expect it or ask for it - as it was she was like, no hurry at all seriously...so sweet. The movie was wonderful and I also have to say that their bathrooms are also clean and not scary at all ... genuinely, many theaters have some pretty tragically awful restrooms. read more

I love watching move in their XD Luxury Lounger! I wish they would remodel and make all their screens Luxury Lounger. It much more enjoyable experience with comfort and privacy. I enjoy the ability to preselect seats. The facility is clean and conveniently located next to the food court inside the Clackamas Town Center. There are buses and MAX lines available and stop right in front of the entrance directly into the theater. There is screen available to show bus and MAX schedule. I never had their snacks or drinks so I can't say anything about that. Trends come and go, and I'm glad theater and mall are still in style! read more

I was served by two amazing young adults named Tuesday and Carter who work at the Clackamas Mall Cinemark. They worked together to make my large bag of take home popcorn. I mean the large clear bags that take about 3 large popcorn's that you take into the theater. Anyway, the were quick, efficient at adding extra butter, all while having a smile. This cinema seems to be always clean and staffed by friendly young people. It's conveniently located off I-205 and 82nd Avenue, with a mall's worth of free parking and its own entrance right at the food court. It has the usual quirks/problems of a modern mall cinema: you can't bring it outside food, even from the food court next door, so if you want snacks while you watch your movie, you have to buy them at the cinema snack bar, at the customary inflated prices. But HEY, that's all movie theaters, nowadays. They make more money on the food they sell than on the tickets. Come here for a roomy multiplex experience. My favorite times are Monday nights, when you can often get a whole theater to yourself. read more

One of my GO TO theater spots in town offering you state of the art audio/visual and a kick ass snack bar. This theater was a sad changing of the times for me when it went in as the Mall (a regular haunt growing up) was charging. Not only was the change a facelift, but also to the guts of the food court and the beloved ice rink. So many memories here, so many good times. When the ice rink was originally being taken out, I reached out to the mall and inquired about putting in an indoor soccer center, a play area for kids of all ages to operate throughout the day and night. I was told no, other plans were well in motion and that a new movie theater was to replace the old one and the food court layout would change. I was skeptical, I was wrong. This theater is very well done, it is huge and it can handle quite the flow of traffic. I dig this spot. read more

Probably the worst customer service I've experienced at a movie theater. Tried to enter the theater with the girlfriend who carries a backpack with her wherever she goes. Have been to this theater with the same backpack within a few months since the sign about the new bag policy came out. No issues. However, this last time they refused us entry stating the backpack was too big. I argued with the cashier advising him that we've gone in before and the manager BRAD chimed in and said you can't come in. I referenced the sign saying if the bag measures so and so and he said it measures above that. I disagreed and asked for him to take their measuring tool out so we could just measure and watch our movie already. Which I imagine they would have a measuring tool. He refused and stated they had no measuring tool. And surprisingly he offered to take his shoe off which he stated was 12 inches to measure. (Yeah right buddy) Literally that was appalling. This is the most unprofessional and poorly run establishment. I am very upset with how I was treated by one of the employees. A employe by the name of Emma denied me entry to the movie, despite me already having pre paid tickets, this was completely due to my ethnicity. We left in the middle of the movie. There were middle school kids in the front row talking. There were high school kids in front of us and we told them to stop talking. Then on top of that a drunk/homeless man came in the middle of the movie. Then slowly crept up closer to my partner. We both felt uncomfortable, so we left. We talked to a security guard who saw the homeless guy walk past the ticket taker and he didn't do anything about it. Then we talked to the manager who was very condescending. He wouldn't even listen to us. I told him he needed to get his employees to check I.D.s. The whole time he was basically brushing us off and pushing us out the door. The $7.50 matinee movie is worth the price where else in a mall in America can you get that deal. My son was dying to see the new Star Wars movie and we didn't have the time to see it so we bought him a ticket and did our Christmas shopping (my son is 14BTW). It is central to scores of interesting dining choices not to overlook it resides in the heart of the mall food court (if you dare). This is not my ultra favorite theater in the Portland Metro area, that remains Cinetopia, but it could be if they did two little things. 1. Make the armrests go up! That way snuggling with the Wife doesn't remind me of a bad game of Twister. 2. More diet soda selection at the snack bar. You're cutting edge and new for God's sake! Just Diet Coke is pretty short sighted now-a-days. We saw Star Trek this last time, and while I know we are not supposed to review movies here on Yelp.com I have to make mention of it because, you know me, I'm a rebel. This theater is usually fine, but don't ever watch a movie in theater 18. Tonight we saw Infinity War in there, and the only speakers on were in the front. No surround sound at all. It took most of the movie for us to figure out that that was why we could barely hear the dialogue. Multiple other people watching agreed they couldn't hear the dialogue well. We asked them 3 times to fix the sound because we couldn't hear the dialogue, and one manager tried to tell us it was a problem with Marvel Studios... and that their sister theaters had the same problem... and that they were asking them to re-release the movie... Walking out I remembered this was actually the second time we'd seen a movie in theater 18 when the surround sound didn't work and we couldn't hear any dialogue. I was extremely excited to see this movie, and extremely upset that I had to watch it with such piss poor sound quality. read more

One of the only theaters I've ever been to that charges for refills, even with large drinks and popcorn. So that's a big strike. Every theater I've been to at least gives you one refill when you are paying 5.50 for a sofa that costs the theater less than 10 cents in actual product. Also despite the nice lobby, the auditoriums are dirty, the seats old and uncomfortable, and the arm rests don't raise in most of them. Skip this theater. I don't know where they put all those popcorn and sofa profits, but it's not the auditoriums. read more

This is a well-maintained older theatre. Sure, the seats are super old and pretty packed in, and they don't lean back and the arm rests don't go up, but they're clean and comfortable enough so it's all good. Prices for tickets are also very reasonable, but I don't care as a Movie Pass holder. The footprint of this place is massive! There's a lot of needless and unused space inside this place, but whatever. It is located inside of a mall, but you don't have to do any traveling inside to get to the theatre. I paid for tickets through my job. My son wanted to see Black Panther and his auntie and uncle. So I received the tickets through my email. The movie started at 2:20. When I showed them my tickets with barcodes I was told that they couldn't scan them, so the person that takes the tickets told us to go to room 13 and we started walking to order popcorn then a worker came to me and said " Do you have to E-Tickets?" I said "Yes" I was told to go over to front desk and have them scan my tickets. I told my family that they can go while I take care of this. The first worker that was supposed to help me was basically saying that he needed to see the tickets and I showed him the 5 tickets. He said those aren't it! So he ended up sending me over to his manager and she basically told me that these aren't tickets and I haven't paid for anything! She tried to make me pay for more tickets! She said there is no way I paid for these tickets because they don't accept tickets tbox office that look like this. After being there for 45 minutes I showed her what I showed the two workers that's when she said "that's what I was wanting." I said this is what I have I been showing the workers and they told me they weren't tickets! Yes I got upset because the manager told me that "It was a miscommunication! I said how is that? She said basically that they thought you have used the tickets and we're trying to watch another movie! They discriminated against me and told me if I didn't calm down she will void my tickets! The lady was rude and disrespectful to me! And then started talking down to me like I'm a child! I didn't get to the movie until a little after 3ish pm. I have visited this theater many times. My kids also enjoy the mall. Almost every time, the workers here have treated me horribly. They made me throw out my drinks once, and would not let me enter because I had a bag from H & M. This is a shopping center, of course I will have bags due to shopping, especially since I'm a mother. Seems like they just want to ensure you're not sneaking in snacks so they get their money from you purchasing THEIR overpriced snacks. I have a thick accent as English is not my native language, however, my English is still intelligible. When ordering tickets, the worker was extremely rude and she pretended like she couldn't understand my English. She was not trying to help, but rather tried to humiliate me. The workers have NEVER been super kind, and have made my experience very difficult to enjoy. Please, do not work a job where you have to socialize with people of many different backgrounds if you can't do your job right. I am very disappointed. The rest of the staff were uncooperative and snappy. One of my other friends who also has an accent was treated horribly once here too. read more

I have been to several movies here recently. The theater is closest & I like to support local businesses. I do not believe they are taking every possible precaution to prevent continued spread of Covid and/or flu. They stack the theater when a popular movie arrives so much so that everyone is sitting next to each other, without any space or distancing plus everyone just about does not wear a protective mask. I do not like a mask either but understand in more closed environments it can be useful. If the theater would practice spacing a seat between groups or individuals that might help minimize the spread of covid. I haven't observed staff cleaning after a showing since I have found items from a previous guest in or near my seat. While I try to go to a movie I want to see during less popular times, that isn't always possible because movie goers often suddenly decide to see a movie. That means that when I initially booked my seat, I had a seat on either side of me, but then as time for the movie to start, guests come in, pack all around & do not practice good hygiene by covering their mouths w/sleeve & then handle everything possible around them. I really do not want to see this theater have problems but first they must practice better quality standards to prevent as possible contamination by other guests - & of course no one checks because people move to a seat not assigned them, etc. read more

Clean as a wip. I thought this was one of the best movie centers. Price was great, large selection of fresh foods. Staff friendly and noticed they inspect Fire doors often.
