Wild Robot, Mufasa, Gladiator II, Wicked, Venom... What have I not seen at Cinemark? The answer is nothing. Because I have a movie club membership and to have a free ticket every month in exchange for the discounts... It's a no brainer. I am a Platinum member again for the second year in a row. Which is a 25% discount versus the normal 20%. Not bad!!! Plus no online ticket fees. And (like tonight,) my man wanted to watch a college football bowl game instead of seeing the movie he wanted to see. So I just opened my app and cancelled. And boom. Easy peasy refund. This theatre is always clean and I have no complaints!!! Pretty Christmas setup this year too!!!

Went to see Silence of the Lambs on the big screen with the Fourteen Year Old. Her first time seeing it, probably my sixth time, but very first time in the theater. This is a probably a top 150 favorite movie for me, if not higher. (10 stars out of 10) (She hates getting her photo taken these days, but always grateful for this kiddo...) #favabeans

Movie Screening: Sitting in Bars with Cakes Pros: the screening was great and the free small popcorn and drink was an added bonus! Cons: movie theater was extremely hot! Evidently, they didnt turn the air condition on.

Yeah this would look great in the living room

Today I needed a little nostalgia and I just happened to coincidentally be off the week before I start my new job (yay), so i took my son to see the latest in the Ghostbusters series. I myself, saw the original back in 1984 (woah), and part deux in '89. I didn't see the 2016 reboot or Afterlife, but when I saw the trailer for "Frozen Empire", I knew that this was not to be missed. We got to the theatre super early today (Tuesday has discounted first showings) about 10:15. I hadn't been to this theatre in a really long time. The concession stand has changed a lot since I worked in a theatre (hint-I worked the opening of the original Jurassic Park). We got the x-tra large popcorn. He got a Slimer Icee and I got a coke. Of course we started munching as soon as we sat down, but there was a free refill. So anyway this theatre was pretty plush. The seats reminded me of a first class airline flight, if I had ever taken one. They reclined pretty much all the way back, but i didn't want to snooze so I just did it halfway. The armrests didn't go up and down, at least in theater 11, but I had to use the cup holder anyway. Anyway now for the movie. I wanted to see this because it seemed to be a proper continuation of the series. The opening ghost sequence featured the "Hells Kitchen Sewer Dragon" this seemed appropriate and also want to go back to Manhattan. The movie continued and there were a few places that could have started the chaos, but they had to hold off. The build up was enjoyable. There were tons of flashbacks to the original film. Dan Ackroyd had a pretty big part, and Bill Murray, Ann Potts, and lots of really small Stay-Puff marshmallow men lol. Overall I give this a 9/10. The only bad thing was the "resolution" to the problem came about too quickly for me. I was hoping for more ghosts and more slime. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loved the original...maybe I will check out Afterlife, and the "Answer the Call" too

We absolutely love the loungers. They're so comfortable and we don't feel crowded. The sound is awesome! Highly recommend.

Why does the price of a ticket no longer include heat? Every time I have to bring a blanket and I'm still cold

Do all the theaters (not just 3d) have armrests that come up?

They now have the reclining chairs, so the arm rests don't go up. But the chairs are so spacious and comfortable, that there is no need to raise the armrests! The seats are also assigned, so I highly recommend purchasing online to choose the best… Read more

My organization has used Hidden Creek for several years now, and when we started working with them,…read morethey were adjustable and easy to work with. However, we had our annual event this year at Hidden Creek and the experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. First of all, they're very strict about anyone even entering the building before the time designated as the starting time. I don't expect them to open the doors of the banquet hall before the starting period that we paid for, but they wouldn't even let us in the building. They would not let us bring any of our materials into the building, and they told us we were not allowed to even unload our materials outside of the door so that once the door to the building opened, things would be unpacked and ready to set up. I was told it was a safety matter, but the materials we unpacked were not in front of the door, but well to the side of the entrance. They enforce those rules very strictly and in a manner that is not particularly friendly. Earlier this year, we held a different event at Hidden Creek, in other words different than the annual event I'm writing about, and they wouldn't even let us look into the room we had rented until the time began that we had paid for. They said that the room was down a hall we hadn't paid to enter, so we were not allowed to look in the room. The facility itself is beautiful, light, spacious, and well appointed. But that does not make up for their overly stringent regulations. For example, in the event I planned, we had to add some speakers to our program, so I asked if I could extend our time by half an hour so we could clean up in time. But they would not allow us to add time, even though I had made that request well before the day of the event. It was not a last-minute request, and, as indicated, I was aware there would an extra charge for an extra half-hour. So I thought we'll just clean up faster (which we did). But unfortunately, our caterers, who were P.F. Chang's, were very late in setting up the lunch, in fact, 45 minutes late, so we had to start our program late. But even with all of that, we worked very fast and managed to finish the cleanup by just half an hour after the time had expired for us to be there. They had no other event after us, and so we did not inconvenience them. Further, there is no indication on the papers that I signed before the event that there was a late fee if we exceeded the time we were in the room. All the paperwork says is that there's a $250 damage fee. But there was no damage to the hall. I'm not arguing that there should have been no fee for leaving the venue late, I just feel that when the total price for each hour is $150, and we reserved the hall for five hours, that it is exorbitant to charge $250. I requested a reduced fee, especially because our lateness was due to our caterer being so late, which PF Chang's recognized and compensated us for, but I got a solid No. They said the contract stipulates a late fee, but as indicated above, that is not true, it stipulates a damage fee. The director of events at Hidden Creek is lovely to work with. She has always done everything possible to make our experience a good one. And I do not hold her responsible for the stringency of the regulations. I am merely saying that the whole issue of charging so much money for being there 30 minutes extra to clean up, especially when the reason our event went late is because our cater was late, is unconscionable. I recommend selecting a different venue for your event unless you want to jump through numerous hoops only to be dissappointed, frustrated and overcharged in the end.
