Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) This firm handled my personal and business taxes for three years. Every single year, I received notices from the IRS and the Department of Revenue stating that my returns were filed incorrectly. Communication was another constant problem. Nearly every scheduled meeting was canceled due to an "emergency." This happened year after year. The first year, after I emailed all required documents, I was invoiced to review and respond to IRS and State of Oregon notices caused by their own mistakes. Even after paying for their review, the issue was not resolved, and I am now making monthly payments for taxes that should have been handled correctly from the start. Document management was equally troubling. After sending complete records by email, I was repeatedly told they could not locate them, as if they had never been received. Most recently, I learned that in 2023 the CPA failed to check the box to file an extension for my returns. As a result, I am now responsible for paying the penalty for their oversight. I gave this firm three years, hoping things would improve. They did not. I have since switched to a new CPA. Other entrepreneurs should think carefully before trusting this firm with their livelihood.

Because our house is built like a tank, every single bay between studs had multiple horizontal studs. He found a solution that worked and it looks spectacular. Our previous tv had not centered by the installer, and it was off just enough to make me crazy. Dennis got this behemoth dead on center, and with as many studs as he screwed into, this mount will never move. The scope of our job was: -Remove 85" tv & mount -Install new mount & 98" tv -In wall wiring (I love this part!!! It's so clean looking) -remove 55" tv in bedroom and install new tv I just wish that Dennis did other things, but he doesn't. I hired PDX Movers for a pack-and-load onto a truck (the truck was a different company - similar to…read morea pod trailer). I had a video phone call where we went through my home and inventoried everything that was to be moved (large 4-bedroom home). They told me I could buy "50 to 60" moving blankets to cover what would be necessary - or they could provide. They would have extra blankets there on moving day - and all necessary boxes, wrapping, tape, etc. The scope of the agreed work was: a) wrapping and packing of art and other breakables (e.g. dishes), b) wrapping and packing of all furniture, c) loading everything onto the truck (including pre-packed boxes we did ourselves). The day of, 3 young men showed up. It took them a LOT longer than the initial estimate (so 4 hours went to 8 hours); they ran out of packing/protective materials and didn't tell me (so some items were protected while others ended up not at all); they damaged furniture (literally rolled my West Elm concrete drum coffee table down our driveway without any protection whatsoever); they damaged 2 places inside the house (dinged the wall with a corner of something, dropped something heavy on a floorboard and splintered it); and packed the truck negligently. This last part was egregious; I had a white fabric Room & Board recliner that they literally did not wrap at all - it was just sitting in the dirty truck totally unprotected filthy and wedged with all sorts of other stuff. A piece of art they were supposed to protect/pack was totally unwrapped and wedged into an open-top box with rakes and other gardening equipment; totally warped/ruined. A chair leg had skewered a box; another had skewered a mattress - because of the poor way they'd packed everything. The day of the move, I confronted one of the young male movers about the coffee table he'd just rolled down the driveway and scuffed/scraped/etc. It was sitting in our flowerbed, crushing a poor plant when I walked up. He seemed nonchalant and said, "It's concrete. It's easy to fix. Just file a claim. I'll give you the info about how later." (Seriously???) After all this, I did indeed file a big claim. Then, they said they weren't at fault for any of the damages (despite me having bought additional insurance) because this was a "pack and load" only and they are not culpable for anything that happened in transit, literally ignoring all the damages that they clearly made during the actual move - and all the negligence that caused item damage. Do NOT use this moving company unless your move is tiny without any truly nice items, you buy extra insurance, and you use them for 100% of the move so they can't attempt to shirk off any responsibility. They are definitely low-priced (but it seems you get what you pay for). I paid about $2500 for this. I would've gladly paid 3X that to actually get a damage-free, less stressful move. RE: owner's reply: a) I did not hire a separate unloading company. My friends and family opened the truck upon arrival and saw what we saw. (See photos.) b) I wasn't told what blankets to buy; I bought several different brands from Amazon, none of which seemed of poor quality. They were 80" x 72" each and 35 lbs per dozen heavy. If there was a different expected quality needed, PDX Movers should have explained that to me. c) I did not decline proper materials for packing artwork. During the video call where we looked at all my items, the PDX Movers rep said himself that using mirror boxes and creating similar protective packaging from boxes rather than crates would be sufficient - so I trusted his judgment and agreed. d) About 6 hrs into the move (most of the truck appearing near full), there was a white console table sitting on my driveway completely unprotected. I could tell the movers were about to put it into the truck and asked if they were planning on wrapping it. They replied "We ran out of blankets. We can wrap it in the brown paper though." I saw a couch with MANY blankets already wrapped on it and asked if they could take some of those blankets and use them on the table - but then realized I happened to have some bubble wrap that they could use. So the plan for the table became to use my bubble wrap, then wrap it in brown paper. This does NOT mean I was fully aware they were out of protective materials and/or had not wrapped other things already inside the truck that I couldn't see. e) Notice the owner said nothing about any of my other notes/claims that were clearly things damaged before any of their movers left the premises. Nor addressed the fact that the scope was wrapping and loading, not JUST loading. Their rep on the video call specifically said, "Of course we wrap furniture whenever we load furniture." If I hire you to pack/load a wine glass and you just sit the wine glass in the middle of a truck without wrapping/bracing and it breaks in transit, that's negligent and poor execution of hired scope.

Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

We provided a complete inventory of our home and were quoted for one truck. Your team spent an entire day packing our home and never once mentioned there was a capacity issue. It wasn't until the very end of moving day, after everything had already been packed and loaded and we had no meaningful opportunity to make another decision, that we were told we needed to pay for a second truck. As a result, it ultimately required two trucks to remove our belongings from storage, effectively doubling the cost we had been led to expect. Unfortunately, the handling of our belongings was even more concerning. During move-out from All Service Moving's warehouse, numerous damaged items were identified and photographed. We also documented furniture stored directly against other furniture with little or no protection, exposed boxes, and delicate items packed and stored in ways that unnecessarily increased the risk of damage. As we continued unpacking, we found additional examples of improper packing, despite paying All Service Moving to professionally pack our home. Wardrobe boxes were not used for hanging clothing--the hanging bars were never used, and clothing and shoes were piled throughout the boxes. Delicate lamp shades were packed with dirty outdoor items. Clothing was packed alongside a floor cleaner and a greasy kitchen rack. Fragile decorative branches were packed without protection and arrived broken. These were not isolated mistakes. They reflected a consistent pattern in how our belongings were packed, stored, and handled. Despite photographs documenting both the damage and the way our belongings were packed and stored while in All Service Moving's warehouse, the company has never taken responsibility. We spent months trying to resolve this privately before writing this review. During that time, we repeatedly provided documentation, waited through postponed discussions, and requested the documents supporting the company's position. Those documents were never produced, and All Service Moving never took responsibility for the damage. Moving is one of the largest expenses and most stressful experiences many people will go through. When you hire a moving company, you're trusting them with everything you own. We expected our belongings to be handled with care and, if something went wrong, for the company to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with All Service Moving.
