"There was once a time when we had a spot to gather--a place with great food, ice-cold drinks, and even better company. You could always catch a Georgia game or whatever sport was on. It feels like such a distant memory now." Now, the place feels empty and cold. Most days, the food tastes like cardboard--the fresh, homemade hamburger patties have been replaced by dry, frozen discs that barely resemble a real burger. The menu has been stripped down, with many favorites gone altogether. The atmosphere has completely changed. The previous owner genuinely cared whether you enjoyed your meal and went out of his way to make things right. That's what a good owner or manager should do. Now, it seems like the current one is only focused on his own preferences. If you're a college football fan, this probably isn't the spot for you--don't expect to catch a Georgia game here anymore. It used to be packed, not just during football season, but year-round. Now? If you're okay with waiting 30 minutes for a dry burger or maybe some tacos (if they're even available), this is your place. Came to hear Ugly Betty play, did not disappoint! Had Lemon pepper wings, fried pickles & patty melt! Wings were BIG, like pre CV19 size! Fired pickles were crispy & Tangy!! The Patty-melt was THICK & well seasoned. All in all it was good food served fast at a reasonable price with a good band! People do smoke so if that bothers you, eat outside! read more

Never get my food right. I order through DoorDash etc. they obviously don't read what there customers want cause they get my order wrong every time. Not by a little by a lot. I asked for ex crispy all flat wings. Far from crispy they were all fatty. They were mostly drums. I never get ex crispy okra when I ask for it. I don't think they understand what ex crispy is. Then they over cook there burgers were they have no flavor. The burger could be good. The sauce is awesome. The fire something burger I get. I'd ask for specific amounts of ketchup and mayo never get that either. 3-4 times I tried no more. Ordered again. Same thing. Good for drinks not for food Will never get food there again read more

I have never posted reviews but felt I should post this one. Five O'clock Sports Bar & Grill is a great place to walk into as a stranger and walk away as family! It most definitely has a "Cheers" vibe. They recently won the Golden Spatula Award from CBS46 in December of 2018 (you can view it here: https://bit.ly/2C2ZIBt) for their 100 perfect scores and their food is far beyond just bar food. They have a full menu and pride themselves on serving delicious restaurant quality food. They also offer Grubhub delivery. Their staff is amazing and takes great care of you. Often times you walk in and they bring a drink right to you because they remember you. They have a great patio outside for beautiful days when you want a fresh air environment. They have hosted/sponsored several charitable events and the most recent one was for Officer Matt Cooper who was shot while in pursuit of a suspect. They do allowing smoking but have 2 smoke eater systems to ensure you don't get "smoked out". I am a non smoking customer and I haven't ever felt suffocated by smoke. They sometimes get called a "Biker Bar" but they are far from that. They are one of the oldest established Restaurant/Bars that have been open locally in Covington from the start. They cater to all types of patrons. Everyone is welcome! The crowd is normal people just having good times! They are located right off the interstate and are very easy to get into. They have several TV's for sports. Tuesday is Trivia, Wednesday is Cornhole, Thursday is Karaoke and Friday/Saturday they have great Live Bands. Food was great! Loved the pork skins. What I did not like is the fact that the biker crowd was able to yell "F" bombs across the crowd. And as the servers came in to work they yell, " make that ass flap". I was with my wife and friend. I understand the bar atmosphere but this was acceptable from everyone.
