I really wanted to like this place - the owners are so nice! But both times I got hoagies (a chicken one, then an Italian) the amount of meat was a little skimpy, especially for the price. It's hard to believe I've never been here before! It's a family-owned and run restaurant that has the look of a bar, but is really a family-friendly diner. I got the small grilled chicken salad. It was very good, loaded with fresh cut french fries and topped with garlic toast. The small is not small at all, especially for lunch. The Italian dressing was some of the best I've ever had. My friend got the pizza, which was touted as being wood fired but I definitely saw them put it in the regular oven. A friend we were with said that they only fire up the wood oven in the evening. I don't know if this is accurate or not. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu. read more

Oh my word... this place is off the beaten path, but most good value and good food is off the path. The service was outstanding. The family owners are so hospitable and interacting. The FOOD, WOW, just plain and simple... WOW. The hoagies are fantastic on a soft crusty bun. Anything you like in a hoagie, they have and will put it in for you. Just amazing. Pizza great, hot dogs in true WV fashion. AND we are from KANSAS, so they educated us on what a real WV hotdog was, and they were 100% right. Great price, big portion. This place is amazing!! We stopped here after finding it on yelp, while traveling. Beautifully built building and the inside was extremely clean and awesome. The inside decor is fun and motorcycle themed. The owner was also the waitress and cook and was super friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious and presented well. Menu had a nice variety to fit any craving. We will always stop here if we are ever traveling through West Va. read more

Stopped at Tubbys for lunch based on yelp reviews. First impression was I wondered if I was even in the right spot. There isn't really a spot to park with the exception of a small concrete pad with no markings. I parked on the side of the street. Inside no other patrons were there even during lunch. Not a good sign. I sat at the bar and had a look at the menu. There was a couple and a child there which I assumed were the owners. The menu was okay. Typical lunch spot items. I opted for a few chili dogs and some fries. They were made fresh in front of me. I had a fountain drink which tasted off. Somewhat flat and overly sweet. I don't think they had proper carbonation. The food was prepared well and the hotdogs were pretty good albeit nothing revolutionary. Fries were hand cut and tasted pretty good. I should've tried something else rather than hotdogs but the place was just kinda weird. Not really inviting. Felt more like a hot spot than an eatery. Food was satisfactory though. Great food, but like the other review said it's attached to someone's house. I was skeptical at first, but after I got inside and saw the place I was surprised. The owner I met was a very nice woman and made some very tasty food. I would recommend stopping in for a meal if you can find it :-P read more
