I was on the way to the dentist and needed to grab a bite to eat since I was going to get novocaine and not be able to eat for a few hours. This was about a mile away from the dentist and it was easy for me to get in and out. Being that I haven't been to this Tubby's, I didn't know if it was going to be a good one or a bad one. Fortunately, it was good. The place is clean and in good working order. Clean tables, bathroom was great, and service was stellar. The gentleman who took my order was friendly and quick, and the steak and cheese sub I ordered was pretty good. Parking here's great, and even though it's in a busy area, I really did enjoy it. They seem to be consistently busy here, as there was a steady stream of people and food delivery people coming and going for the 30 minutes or so that I was there. haven't had Tubbys in damn near a decade. just had this tonight and it might be hands down the best tubbys sub i've ever had. Got the XL steak and cheese extra tubbys sauce and toasted (thinking this was open face toasted) no, they built it and then toasted the whole thing in the oven and when I tell you...best sub i've had in a very long time, the french bread had such a thin cripsy exterior. Im giving this tubbys zero stars we wanted to try it out so we did I got the Philly cheesesteak stub & Mac and cheese bites & I woke up extremely sick and had the runs all day long and a fever I called this Tubby's today telling them how I'm sick & he said thank you and decided to not say anything after that I find this absolutely ridiculous This place meat taste different then all the other tubbys & it made me extremely sick Steak Sandwich To bad it won't let me leave zero stars & it made me put at least one star to leave a review don't eat here and save your money read more

By far the best tubbys i've ever been to, the service is amazing it's all owned by an amazing family, they are always very nice and welcoming and just amazing people overall, the food is also very consistent i come here all the time and each and every time it's just as good as the first time i had it and trust me im here a lot. read more

Another sub place has just opened up within 1 mile of my house - no complaints because I really love subs... There hasn't been a tubby's near me for around 6-7 years so I was excited to see one pop up on big beaver/metro pkwy. This location is especially cool because there is a just baked cupcake shop inside that switches to six different cupcakes every day. Tubby's has pretty good subs; but I can't say that they are significantly better than any of the shops that we already have. read more

So, how do I give a zero? Ordered online. Waited an hour. Called and the delivery person got lost on her last delivery. Ok. Half an hour later she calls me, lost, with an attitude. I live in an apartment complex. Other deliveries have put this in Google maps and gotten here. I go outside and she says shes by the leading office, which is not even on my street. My street is literally u shaped. It's not hard. At that point I said to forget it. I wanted a refund. It's an hour and a half later. She says oh they cant do that. You paid online. Hell no. So I call the restaurant. They don't even know. They say I have to call the people who run the website. (What??) So they say they have to call the owners and someone will be call me 'in a bit'. This is now 2 hours of my life wasted on this crap. And it's not even over. read more

I was in here yesterday and the lady at the register was amazing! She knew the menu well, offered a cup for water without me asking and checked in to see how I liked my sandwich! I needed the restroom and wasn't expecting it to be so clean! I took off a star for very limited veggies in my veggie sub (2 each of small broccoli pieces, green pepper and mushrooms.) mostly shredded lettuce :/ up your game on sandwhich content and you'd get 5 stars from me! read more

I have always been a fan of tubbys! This new location on metro parkway is very clean and nice. The staff were friendly and had smiles on their faces. If you are a picky ranch person and ONLY like homemade ranch then don't order anything with ranch. I ordered the chicken and cheddar which is very good, they don't make their own ranch which I was kind of bummed about, but it was still good. Think I'll stick with the Famous. Tubbys anymore is over priced and under portioned. All bread and lettuce , what happen to the meat? Bought two 12" steak and cheese and looked like it only had about four ozs. of meat in it. My McDonalds Quarter Pounder had more meat in it than my steak sandwich. next time will either go down a block or so and try Penn Station or Kellys Grill (previous Tubby location) Don't know why they relocated? Employees were friendly and nice but food was just short for portions? Nice clean dining room but than again it is a new building and this location hasn't been open that long? I could not give this location any stars, but had to to write this review...super rude staff as well as a horrible manager very cocky and if he knew it all..well I could not understand any of the workers english. And I was trying to ask questions and they could not understand my english, only a little bit. Our family had walk out because they could not understand what we where asking or trying to understand and they got angry...saying rude and horrible things as we where walking out. We asked why there prices where so high....as well as we visited many other tubby locations and they have deli 5 dollar foot longs as well as a rewards program.. they wheee very defensive..and I could not understand there broker up English..I so wanted to give this location my business...but I will not give it after this visit as well as tell others to not to visit and give them there business as well..and yes I will be calling corporate..thank you metro Detroit business are going down the tubes. This is probably he best tubbys I've been too all my life. I've been to tubbys since I was a little girl and I love the older girl on grill, She works in the afternoon and is such a sweet heart. My husband and I were really excited when this Tubby's was being built- drove by all the time to see if it was open yet, as the last one that was near our home had really taken a downward spiral! When the corporate office opened this location it was fanstatic and had outstanding service- had a choice of bread's and homemade cupcakes. Now that the corporate office has sold it and it's become a franchise the service sucks and so does the food. They changed pizza sauce for the pizza type subs, they skimp on the pizza sauces (you can barely tell it's there), they don't ask you what kind of bread anymore and when they don't understand you- they just ignore what you ask for!!! I contacted the corporate office and complained about an order that was not what I asked for and I was told that the manager would contact me via email- I have yet to hear from him.... That speaks volumes for this franchise. Guess I will go back to the Madison Heights location that I grew up frequenting- they know how to run a business. read more
