I haven't been to a PS in over 5 years. I finally got a chance to stop in and have a quick dinner and treat my husband to his first PS Experience! My fav is the chicken salad. I usually end up being disappointed by chicken salad when it isn't homemade because it is just a bunch of chicken and a TON of mayo. Not here. There's is a good balance, and the chicken itself it really good. I think they put a little sweet relish in it. The bread is served hot, but it doesn't get hard and crunchy. I give this place 4 stars. The food is good but I found my sandwich lacking in the meat department. The bread was hot and very good. But I ordered a 10 inch sub and they just toss the other two inches. Today I tried the Dagwood with grilled meats. It comes with pepperoni, ham, salami and turkey. The veg choices are very limited. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed and flustered and they weren't even that busy. The only person that was calm, was the manager and she was very nice, she was passing out cookies. Over all the food was good, but it was way to expensive. It was $24.53 for two medium drinks, a bag of chips, medium fry, 10 in sub and a 8 in sub as well. I'm not even full. read more

Great subs and great fries. Food was hot and served pretty quick. I loves subs. Only glitch was that I ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade and didn't get it it was $0.60 more than a regular drink. It gets served from behind the counter not the self serve drink station. So after I realized there was no lemonade out, I had tea. On the way out I let them know that I ordered it, paid for it and didn't get it. I did get an apology but no price adjustment. But that aside food was good. I have a hard time giving a negative review. But, each time I've been here I've been less than thrilled with my food. You look at the menu and think you are getting this great sub sandwich, but you end up with this sparse sandwich that leaves you hungry. I have given them a couple chances, but I think I'm done. My experience at this location makes me never want to eat here again. My boyfriend and I walk in and the cashier off the bat is slightly rude. We tell him we want combos and he proceeds to question whether we want fries or not (what exactly am I ordering???) Annoyed, we go pay, the other cashier doesn't have any change. When this place opened over a year ago, I loved it. The manager with the dreads was really cool and welcoming and worked his butt off. Made sure that I got my food served quickly and that the assembly food line was moving. But my last 2 visits have been horrible. Slow service and greasy food, more than normal. The last time, they were short staffed, and the guy handling my money also was also handling raw food. Not sanitary! But didn't get sick and the food was hot. Just going to have to know when my man with the dreads is working. read more

The manager "Brian" was terribly rude, loud, and we were told the lobby closes at 9pm (even though the hours of operations said they closed at 10pm) that we had to leave and "all orders were to go" after we placed our order and paid. There was nothing on the door or window indicating the lobby closed early. If there was, we would've gone elsewhere. I love Penn Station but this location is horrible. Me and my girlfriend went here and placed our order telling them we both want combos. They proceed to ask "so you don't want fries"? Followed by "do you want drinks"? Like, what is a combo... Anyways nothing major. Then they don't have the singles to give me my change and on top of all this they ring up both orders wrong and didn't put much on either sub. Very disappointing. read more

Worst experience at Penn Station 12 Mile and Van Dyke Order was wrong had to remake then originally ordered fries at first station cashier forgot them while waiting for order to be remade had asked about the fries CHERYL says "don't make a big deal everyone makes mistakes we are not all perfect" then she proceeds to tell us the customer that it was for her employees who were upset over the mistake.... I thought we were the customer we got upset asked for a refund. CHERYL said the comment was for her crew ... no if so she would not have said it so sure and loud for her customer to hear... very unprofessional! 2 other customers heard the whole exchange and decided to leave as well! read more

I am giving (THIS) location a 1 star due to cleanliness! Employee that keyed in our order did not wear gloves and never washed her hands after doing so. She did however, come from back room carrying a loaf of bread that she held at the end and rested along her arm up to her shoulder (like a snake). She then fills an empty tub from her work station and puts the plastic in the trash, touching the trash already in the can and then carries the tub to her work station. The cook was wearing gloves, but took them off to refill a tub of mayo. Problem is he never put them back on. He then stuck an unwashed mayo jar upside down in the empty work station tub and proceeded to saw a hole into the bottom of the mayo jar with his bread knife. Number 1 the jar is dirty on outside and 2 the plastic shavings are now on the knife and in the mayo. When jar is empty, he puts it in the garbage that is full and pushes it down with his bare hands. Same unwashed hands grab the full mayo tubs with his thumbs on the inside and puts them in his work area. Knife is then put back into use in the work station to cut a loaf of bread. I will eat Penn Station again, but not this location. I'm just glad this all took place right after my order was placed in the oven! read more

Great sandwich but even better service. I was greeted right away and while I was eating it was a little slow and the workers were happily cleaning away the bottom of the tables... If they spend that much effort on the bottoms of the tables, how clean is that kitchen? Spotless. The steak sub kills any of the other places. read more

I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. Ever since this place opened, I've been a big fan! I melt over the Philly cheesesteak subs and the fries. Also, the fresh cookies are delicious. I go in about once a week and haven't had a problem at all. read more
