We came over here after a long walk from home. Normally, you give The attendant your cell number and they text you when your table is ready, provided all guests are together. Amazingly, after being told we'd have a long wait, the attendant told us a group exceeded their time and provided us with a table We had the nicest, most cheerful and energetic server ever. Was really happy with the food here! Menu was huge. So hard to choose. Drinks also looked amazing. Can get way more than just a black coffee here. The breakfast burrito was great. Perfect size and I liked the crunch from the hash browns and the veggies in there too. My mom liked the garden bowl but said there was a bit too much balsamic on top. Servers were very nice. Tucker's is an extremely popular breakfast/ brunch/lunch spot for locals and travelers alike. If you are going between 10am-12pm, expect a wait, and possibly to use street parking because the parking lot is rather small (not easy to turn around in if other patrons are also looking for parking). That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. Checking out New London and went in for breakfast about 9:30. Pretty easy to get a table, although I'm sure it could get crowded. We started with coffee, and it was good and really hot! I had the TJ's Irish Benny - a take on eggs Benedict with corned beef hash. Really good and flavorful, and everything was cooked perfectly. The hash was neither the canned variety nor stringy and tough. Really good. I had hash browns which were also good. Way too much food! My wife had the New England breakfast, and she enjoyed it. The corn beef is perfectly done and just the right amount served on top of an English muffin. Eggs w that dark orange yolk indicating a farm fresh egg. Choice of potatoe or beans. I had homefries. They were overcooked and did not have much flavor. I suggest you go w the hash browns instead. The Sedona skillet is full of flavor. Portions are big enough to share if you wanted. We came here for brunch on our road trip to Maine. It's a neat spot for food. It was quite busy for a Wednesday. We love the outdoor seating and friendly service. Tucker's is our local GO TO but we haven't been recently because of the surge in covid infections. Can't believe I had not reviewed this amazing establishment! Looking for a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch that is consistently great- look no further! Tucker's is it! I'm a big fan of the sandwiches (veggie caprese and the club are my favorites) and anything in the breakfast menu (belgian waffle and french toast are amazing) but today I tried something different, and was not disappointed! I ordered the Tucker's Classic and substituted the house potatoes for the red quinoa hash browns. The scrambled eggs were fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. The hash browns were delicious and flavorful (and healthy! love the kale!). Our server offered to grill my english muffin rather than toast it and it was sooooo good- soft and super fresh on the inside but had a nice crispy buttery grilled exterior. I don't think I will ever have a toasted english muffin again! Which brings me to the service at Tucker's. We are always greeted with very cheery and kind waitstaff and attended to right away. Our server today was all smiles and very sweet. She was attentive and checked on us just the right amount of times. Fast service and hot food. Can't go wrong with this place! I picked up my food this morning and checked the bag to make sure all the food was there in the car and saw all the labeled boxes. When I got home and finally opened the food (boxes), my two side potatoes were eaten out of or they just put like one spoonful. Kind of annoying because I paid $8 for basically one scoop of potatoes, also they were not salted or peppered... The rest of my food was fine but soggy and they didn't provide syrup for my waffle or plastic silverware. I paid $43 for about $15 worth of food, definitely going to stick with going to Dunkin's next door. Never ordering from this place again. read more
