I would say some of my experience was odd as we came in without a reservation-it was nearly empty and the person who sat us made us wait while they made a reservation via open table. I thought that was odd. The waiter was nice but was not as attentive to our drinks and refills as I would have liked and I got thirsty. Other than that the all you can eat bar has a variety of foods for everyone. It has hot and cold options. You can eat as much different types of meat as they bring out. It is very well priced and feel very fancy if you want to celebrate a special occasion. I found it difficult to find parking because I was unsure which lot to use. It is at Mayfair and there are many lots, but I was unsure which lot was for the restaurant. You can park a lot of places so it may have just been me. Overall though it was a fun experience. Be sure to go hungry as it is a lot of food.

We asked if it would be possible to move to a larger table, but we were told no accommodations were available, which made the meal less comfortable from the beginning. The food itself was average at best. The selection of meats seemed limited compared to what we expected, and the portions being served were very small. There also didn't appear to be any consistent flow to the tableside service. Long stretches would pass before servers returned with additional meat options, making the experience feel disorganized. Thankfully, the salad bar and buffet area offered enough variety to keep everyone at our table satisfied. Another aspect that stood out was how scripted the service felt. Our waiter was polite, but every interaction seemed overly rehearsed rather than genuine. The dessert presentation was repeated twice as if we hadn't all been present the first time, which felt awkward and unnecessary. Overall, the food was underwhelming, the service lacked a personal touch, and the dining experience did not live up to our expectations. For the price, we expected much better quality and service. Unfortunately, this is not an establishment we plan to visit again.

Here's a polished, vivid restaurant review you can use:…read more Dining at Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen is more than just a meal--it's a rich cultural experience that transports you straight to the heart of Latin America. From the moment you walk in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere sets the tone, with inviting décor and subtle music that perfectly complements the cuisine. The menu is a thoughtfully curated celebration of Latin flavors, blending tradition with modern flair. Each dish is beautifully presented and layered with bold, authentic taste. Standout items include their perfectly seasoned meats, fresh seafood options, and house-made sauces that add depth and character to every bite. The balance of spices and textures shows a clear attention to detail and a deep respect for culinary heritage. The drinks are devine heavily inspired by Latin culture. My personal favorites are the blackberry sangria and the Mexican sangria. Service is equally impressive--attentive without being intrusive. The staff is knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu, and eager to recommend pairings that enhance the overall experience. What truly sets Antiqua apart is its ability to feel both elevated and welcoming. Whether you're there for a special occasion or a casual night out, the restaurant delivers consistently high quality in both food and hospitality. In a dining scene full of options, Antiqua Latin Cuisine stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Latin flavors with a refined twist.

The owner is one of the nicest people you will meet and you can see the sheer passion just oozing from him. He makes you feel like a guest in his own home and he is so obviously proud of the food he serves. That pride is well deserved -- this is some of the best Venezuelan food I've ever had, anywhere in the world. The pabéllon and the reina pepeada are especially worthy of mention, with the pabéllon in specific being one of the best things I've ever eaten. The yuca frita is delightful -- fried to perfection, with a delicious chimmichuri-esque drizzle. The kids arepa is hilarious and hilariously good -- a ham and cheese delight tuned for the very German influenced palate around here. My kids and I hope to sample every last item on the menu. My only worry is that this is not a style of food that generally gets a lot of attention in this town -- this place is always rather empty whenever I come. I would love to see lines out the door, because that's what this place deserves, and that's how good the food is here. The fate of many ethnic restaurants in this area seems to be to go under -- and oftentimes that's not commentary on the quality of the food. The palate of the general population in this area tends to be less adventurous, and that puts restaurants like this at a disadvantage. That is to say: please come experience this place. Please come eat here. Please help make sure that this place sticks around.

Service was almost nonexistent unless you count servers yelling across the restaurant, and ignoring us. We had empty water pitchers, food that was slung on to a plate and looking at filthy tables. Professionalism was nowhere to be found. We kept wondering if a manager was going to appear... or if the entire place was being run by teenagers. It's honestly shocking because this used to be a well-managed spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Now it feels chaotic, immature, and uncomfortable for anyone expecting an actual dining experience. If you're looking for dinner, you may want to keep driving. If you're looking for a loud, awkward social experiment with margaritas, you've found your place.

I ordered the La Bandera and it was overly salty. Now, I don't know if this is the norm for this dish, or if the chef that night was heavy handed. The first bite seemed ok, but the more I ate, the saltier it became, it seemed. Hubs had the short rib sandwich and was not impressed. We also had the queso dip, which I liked very much, and a pitcher of margaritas, which we both enjoyed. I would try this place again, because you never know if someone is having an off night and deserves a second chance. I'd also like to come here during the day (the Dia part) to try that menu as well. 88/2025

The dining room was colorful collection of pictures, garlands and banners which added to the cheery atmosphere. I had the fiesta burrito with chorizo. As stated, it comes smothered with their house made sauces, one green, maybe cilantro or avocado, the either a red sauce. Not listed in the description was also corn, carrot and peas. Don't be surprised when you cut into it and you see that. On the side was a coleslaw that brought some nice heat and brightness to the plate as well. Maybe the biggest surprise of the entire meal was the house coffee they served up. Today I believe it was their sauvecito. While I was surprised that they would serve such a strongly flavored house coffee, it packed a nice cocoa flavor that rounded out the meal nicely.
