I'm hard of hearing so I wasn't entirely sure I communicated well with them but they seemed to understand me so we went forward. Their two-person crew arrived spot on time and got right to work. Daniel, the owner, carefully reviewed the work we had asked for. I agreed, and they got right to work. I thought it would take them all day, but much to my pleasant surprise, they were done in half that time. And the work? Perfect. They did everything asked for with professionalism and well-deserved pride. The yard is now presentable (and it hasn't been for a while). We'll definitely be bringing them on for monthly maintenance so it doesn't go out of control again. Cost was very reasonable. The scope of the work we needed was never going to come cheap, and cheap wasn't our goal. We wanted the job done right and we were willing to pay a professional rate to get that level of quality. Angeles Landscape charges a very good rate and, for what you get, I doubt there are better options. I also appreciated that Daniel kept checking in to make sure we were happy, if we wanted anything corrected, or if we had any questions. Dec 16, 2020, Hired Mike Howard to repair structural damaged to my home caused by extensive dry rot…read moredamage. This was not a trivial job. The dry rot had compromised a main structural corner beam which supported the second story. The repair would first require building a temporary support to hold up the second story while removing the damaged support beam and replacing all of the dry rot wood. The repair process required first coordinating with a structural engineer to design a repair plan and then with the Snohomish County office to issue a repair permit. Mike was very helpful through the entire process. Mike was confident that he could perform the repair safely and within code without an engineering drawing, but suggested that the drawing would likely be required for the county to issue the permit. I decided to get the engineering drawing and Mike was right. The county flat out said that this repair required an engineering review and drawing. I told Mike I would hire him for the job, but only after I saw and understood what the repair plan entailed. Mike met with the engineer to discuss the repair job and then Mike outlined for me exactly how he would complete the repair. While listening to Mike explain the repair process it was apparent to me that he completely understood the structural design of a home. Having a contractor with this type of experience and knowledge was the only way I would go. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions with integrity and no BS. I decided to take the 2 days off to watch the work performed. Mike had no issues with this. He discussed the work while it was in process and I always felt comfortable with his decisions and confidence. The work was done in accordance to the engineering drawing and the permit was signed off and closed without any issues. I am not a roofer and had leaks at both ends of my front roof line on my house. This residence has a gutterless roof that doesn't slope correctly. I explained my problem to the service rep and he listened carefully to my concern and sold me an amazing product that not only cost less than I expected but also repaired my problem 100%. Not greedy or grouchy…read more The story with these guys started last Friday at 4:55PM. Not knowing they close at 5, I called to ask about some roof patch tape. They were busy, so they took my number and called me back after 5. Great help, so they got an 'A' for the day in customer service. The roof tape is hard to find, and there are like 90 different variations of the product in different length and width. "Johnny" at the store was really great and helped me find the one I need (Eternabond RoofSeal, if you're interested). Calling them back today (the following Thurs), someone at their store didn't think their product had the sufficient UV rating, so I called around elsewhere. To my dismay, every other store charged upwards of $80 compared to their $68. I looked at the product manufacturer's website again and had an "I swear I remember them saying..." moment, so I called Stoneway back again. It turns out that the non-Johnny was mistaken and they did indeed stock the product with the high UV rating. Bored yet? My gorgeous wife is on her way there now to pick the stuff up. She has our baby with her and was kind of reluctant to spend time shopping around the store, so Johnny rung up the order and kept it hot on his screen so wifey just has to swipe her card and be on her way. Bottom Line: Great service, great prices, friendly guys. I always expect to be treated like an outsider by specialty contractor supply shops like this, but, again, they earn an "A" for the day. Plus, it's in Fremont rather than on the shady south end or nasty North Aurora. Yup!
