My daughter had to pull off at a random exit on a long trip because the tire started shuddering. IYKYK. She got new tires 3 years ago and doesn't drive very much - less than 7000 in 3 years. And has always had a problem with one going flat constantly had to keep pumping it up. . But when checking out this new problem of shuddering the place she went said the tires were old. Older than the originals that the car had when bought. This company put old used tires on her car. Almost causing a major issue if she didn't realize there was an issue on the road. Worst customer service you will ever experience! Lady on phone is nasty and likes to yell at the customers. The shop's prices are the most outrageous thing to the point that it is beyond highway robbery. You want the cheapest oil change? 86 bucks. You want a new alternator? Over a THOUSAND bucks. On top of the price they try their hardest to upsale you on literally any and everything, this goes as far as them to tell you that you are in desperate need of new windsheild wiper blades when they are fine. Do yourself a favor and do not come here unless you want to deal with the nasty, crabby lady on the phone and want to spend a few grand on the most minor things. Never coming back . read more

All around horrible service. I dropped off my truck at 8 AM for tire service & I show up at closing time just for the owner to say they never got around to it. If my appointment was scheduled for 8 AM then there should have been some type of priority put on getting my service done. I can go on & on about all the other things of dissatisfaction but I'd rather not because this company knows they messed up. Plus there was not any compensation offered for my inconvenience. Awful, awful, unprofessional service. One of the worst experiences I've had in this area in automotive repair. I had an appointment for 11 am. Called to informed them that I was running and confirmed that it was still OK to come in. I explained the problem with my Ford F150 blowing hot air on the drivers side but cool on the passenger side. They explained that a diagnostic was necessary to pinpoint the problem at a cost of $119. I agreed and was asked to leave the car and this was 11:50. The shop closes at 5 pm so around 4:30 I called inquiring the results. Brian had not completed the diagnostic and asked that I leave it overnight. I called again the next morning around 11 am, again, no one from the shop contacted me. The receptionist said that Brian was testing the truck to find out what caused the AC problem. I emphasized to the shop that it had been nearly 24 hours with no answer to the problem. I also informed them that I was headed out of town and needed to get the truck by 22 noon. At 12: 15, the shop called me and informed me that they could not repair the AC. The AC know was broken and required a special tool and programming only performed by Ford. What a waste of 26 hours and $119 only to inform me that they couldn't repair it. Totally unprofessional and lack of customer service. I would never, ever, ever take my vehicles to this automotive shop again. Horrible treatment of a customer and total.lack of respect for a customer's time. DO Not Use this facility. read more

The workers seem to be nice but they tried to scam me into getting extra stuff done that didn't need to be done. I am a new driver and I made the mistake of telling them that I guess, because they told me that my right CV axle was cracked, and that if I didn't have it fixed immediately that my brakes would go out. I figured id take it home and see if it was something my boyfriend or his uncle could fix, when I explained to them what had been said to me, I was told that the brakes had nothing to do with the cv axle. Well I took my vehicle to another car shop for a second opinion and it turns out that there is nothing wrong with my axle at all. read more

they put a civic size battery in my honda accord, never told me Hey we don't have the right size battery....no they just put in a smaller battery than Honda requires....I also had to go to another place to get my brakes worked on and they told me that it looked like someone actually tried to mess with the wheels on the left side, my car drove different after they fixed it so i took it somewhere else and I am glad I did ...my car was shaking on the road after the tuffy team worked on my car....they did not care if i wrecked on the road I could have killed people...I travel on 65 everyday...it must be because I dont support trump and they do because my money is just as good as anyone else's I guess the owner can't take a little intelligent conversation and would for party loyalty mess with someones car ...wrong size battery, and the other dealership told me that any mechanic that would let someone leave with the wheel problem I had was simply brain dead or on purpose wanted to do it read more

We have been going to Tuffy's for a while now for mostly oil changes. I knew going on a Saturday morning to expect it to take longer. However, two hours is ridiculous. If I hadn't said something about it taking so long, it would have been longer. Apparently, I got lost in the shuffle. They apologized but offered no discount or coupon to use on my next oil change. The Owner is a total Scam artist for sure. I went in to get 5 tires mounted and balanced, I told them what I wanted done, to use the stick-on weights and was given a quote of $35.00 per tire. I made an appointment with the Owner for the next day at 730am when they open. I was there and the owner continued to try and upsell me telling me they put glass beads in these larger offroad type tires. I told him NO I wanted stickon weights as I was originally quoted. However when the work was performed they used the simple glass beads that were just dumped into the tires{4}. The price went from $35x5 to a total of $309.95 At this point I was so disgusted that I just left but immediately drove for interstate to test the balance job out. Well as expected the balancing was horrible and dangerous. I had to immediately slow down because of the severe tire vibrations. I drove much slower on the tires all day and still they were vibrating. Long Story short I took my truck back the next day to Tuffy tire center and told the assistant manager that I wanted those glass beads vacuumed out and to put stick on weights like I had originally wanted and was quoted $35/tire. Assistant Manager was more than wiling to make me happy. Finally the work was done, but they used hammer on weights on my nice shiny aluminum rims. Again I was so disgusted at this point that I left and tried out the tires for balancing. At interstate speeds the tires were as smooth as silk. I was not happy, but at least I could now drive my truck on my new tires. Upon getting back home I noticed they had forgotten to do the spare....smh....I called the assistant manager whom throughout this ordeal was courteous and professional. He told me that when the owner would be back he would call me about this fiasco. Last night owner did call and was rude, condescending, arrogant and continued to talk over me. At one point I told him that he was rude, of which he stated that he wasnt....lol...After several argumentative minutes from the Owner of Tuffy Tire Center, I was convinced to never step foot on their property ever again. Obviously they need the money more than I do. Because no amount of money is worth the flim flam and outright scam/upselling that this business perpetuates. read more

!!!!! WARNING !!!!! CUSTOMERS BE AWARE !!!!!! Tuffy Tire and Auto is a very shady place to take your car. I recently obtained an online "OUT THE DOOR PRICE QUOTE" meaning all taxes and fees were included. The price quote was $355 for a set of tires and when I arrived at their business I showed them the quote they told me the total was going to be over $430. I questioned why there was a difference and the girl at the counter said because of taxes which were already added into the quote I brought in. She then said I would have to speak to the owner. He reluctantly lowered the price but still added a $15 charge for tire disposal which brought the new total to $370. I said that would be fine and I'd like to proceed with the purchase. They told me that they would have to go get the tires from a different location and that it would be about 30 minutes before the tires would be there. I asked if they had time to change the oil in my car while I waited for the tires. The girl said yes so I asked how much the oil change would cost. She said if it's regular conventional oil it would be $35 so I told her that was good and to go ahead and change the oil. Then the customer that was behind me wanted an oil change also and he had gotten there way after I did. They immediately went and got his vehicle and began changing his oil which didn't seem right. Why did they skip me? Some time went by and the girl that works the front counter came to me to let me know that they didn't have the filter in stock and would have to get the filter delivered from a local parts store which is less than a mile away. She then tells me that they would have to charge me $46 instead of $35 because the filter wasn't in stock and my car required one extra quart of oil because my car needed more than 5 quarts. I told her ok to go ahead and do the oil change. Now by the time all this has taken place the truck has gotten back with my tires and the guy that came in behind me has already had his oil changed and gone. They begin to work on installing my tires and then my oil and filter arrives on location. Once done with my tires they do the oil change so I go in to pay them. Well once the girl at the counter calculates everything she tells me the total is $432 so I pull up the calculator on my phone. $370 plus $46 equals $416 (on every calculator on the planet) so needless to say I question the total she gave me. She then tells me that it's higher because of tax. Well I'm not an idiot a $46 oil change shouldn't have $16 in tax. Then when I say that she says oh it's because we had to charge more for the filter. The owner was standing there and I say no you've already added the extra for the filter that is why my $35 oil change turned into a $46 oil change to begin with. The owner tells the girl to print the ticket and then he gives it to me. I told him look man she said the oil change was $35 originally and then changed it to $46 because you had to order the filter. He and her both twisted everything around giving me multiple excuses why the price changed and none of which ever explained why I was being charged $60 for a $35 then $46 oil change. He basically ends up telling me that the ticket price is what I owe and that is that. I can tell you I'll never go back there again and I'll advise you to stay away from there at all cost. I tried to leave a negative review on their website but apparently the owner just deleted it because it never found it's way to their website review section. I went in to get my brakes done and they said I needed a new transmission and a long list of other things. I chose not to get new brakes, left and had it looked at somewhere else. The brake job was less than half of what I was quoted and nothing was wrong with any of the other things that they said needed to be replaced. These people are scammers, beware! read more
