Great food and service. Owners are good people who truly care. The menu has many options for main and sides. The portions are generous.

On a recent trip to visit a local antique market in Pulaski- we stopped by the Lakeside Restaurant…read morefor a bite to eat and wow, were we pleasantly surprised! Seemingly in the middle of rural upstate NY is this gem of a restaurant. The server and everyone on the staff that interacted with us were simply lovely! Kind, helpful and joyful. I ordered a turkey melt with onion rings, and my friend had a burger with fried which she claimed was one of the best she had eaten in a long time. Accompanied by "sassy sauce" our fries and onion rings were dipped in this delightful yet spicy accoutrement! My turkey melt was delicious- carved turkey- not slimy cold cuts, cheese and banana peppers were a perfect and delectable combination on lightly toasted bread- simply marvelous! For desert- and they are all lovingly homemade, I had a mixed berry pie with ice cream and my friend had a slice of Dutch apple pie! Both equally and fabulously delicious! We left stuffed to the gills and so glad that we turned the truck around to try this hidden gem! Don't pass it up- stop by- it's worth it!

While my wife enjoyed her breakfast it was not without sine distractors as the hash was lacking sufficient meat and any real flavor. It may be a local favorite, but I've had better...especially for the money.

The Lakeside Restaurant - Don't judge this place by its outside appearance. Terrific menu, great service. The food was homemade, fresh and very good.

Great big menu with great big portions! What's not to love? Came here for lunch while staying in…read morethe area and it was quite good for the four of us. Any place with free refills on fountain drinks and homemade onions is always tops in my book, but my wrap was excellent. The Chicken Portobello Wrap has a blend of very flavorful cheeses and I loved with the grilled chicken and portobello mushroom and roasted red peppers. Great combo! The onion rings were stellar. The dipping sauce was hard to not just dip everything on my plate in, (I did it anyways)! Our server was so nice and made sure we had coffees and waters filled and love the at home vibe of the place. Great gem up in the north country!

For starters, we come in to Jebs and right away the servers bring us to our table. They are all nice and friendly. Then we order our drinks and they come right away! They give us time to order and when we do, they bring it to our table in at least 15 minutes. Which is pretty fast! My personal favorite foods at Jebs are the Grilled Cheese, and the Patty Melt! Our family thinks that all the food here is amazing no matter what they order. Then we have to order the Desserts and their ice cream is the best Ive ever had. The Atmosphere has a very Adirondack feel to it which adds even more incredibleness to Jebs!!

A real struggle on graduation weekend:…read more Party of 12, Saturday night. We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were a party of under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.

To start, we called ahead to ask how busy the restaurant was and were told it was not busy. Based on that, we brought our family, including two young children, for dinner. When we arrived, our table was not clean and we had to wait for staff to come clean it. There were multiple other tables in the same condition. We ordered our drinks and food. Our children ordered a grilled cheese and a cheeseburger. My husband and I ordered prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy, along with appetizers, mozzarella sticks and beer-battered fries. It took quite a while for the food to come out. When the appetizers arrived, we were also offered clear glass plates that were visibly dirty, to the point where we had to wipe them down with napkins ourselves. We chose not to complain and instead gave grace. Our son did not like the fries he ordered, no issue there. The waitress asked if we wanted more drinks. Everyone except me ordered another, as I wasn't ready at that point. For reference, these were simple drinks: two bottles of root beer, one can of Pepsi, and one can of Sprite, nothing complicated. Silverware was sitting in a dusty communal cup on the table, open for anyone to touch, and there were only two forks available for a table that seats six. Again, we did not complain and made it work. My husband's and my salads came out next. The salads themselves were a decent size, however there was barely enough dressing for two bites. I ate those two bites and, once again, did not complain. Mine and my husbands dinners were then brought out, while our two young children were still waiting for their meals. I ordered my prime rib medium-rare and it came out rare. The seasoning was not good in my opinion, and I was only able to eat maybe five bites before boxing the rest to take home for my dogs. The mashed potatoes contained chunks of skin that were hard and plastic like, and the gravy tasted like it came straight out of a can of chunky beef stew. At this point, I finished my drink just trying to get through the meal and wanted another. However, the restaurant had cleared out even more and despite several empty tables, we did not see the waitress again until we were ready to leave, so I never received another drink. Throughout all of this, we remained polite, said thank you, and never complained. That is simply the kind of people we are. When the waitress was present, she was nice. For that reason, she was tipped 10% of our bill, which we felt was more than fair given the experience described above. As we were leaving, she came back over, showed us the money we gave her, and scoffed when we confirmed that the amount was correct. We then left. She proceeded to follow us, including our two young children, into the parking lot to further confront us about not tipping more, stating that she has to tip out the kitchen staff and continuing on about how she gave "exceptional service." Being polite does not equate to exceptional service. Additionally, the kitchen staff, whose food was poorly prepared and served on dirty dishes, are not the customer's responsibility. We also observed our food repeatedly being placed on a wooden shelf next to the bar and bathroom doors, with people constantly walking by. Hair was visibly loose and not properly secured by kitchen staff around food. Despite all of this, because of the type of people we are, my husband kindly gave her additional money in the parking lot. Even then, she was still not satisfied and continued to speak negatively as she walked back into the bar. I will reiterate: this entire interaction happened in front of our young children, who were visibly scared by her behavior. They are raised around respectful, appropriate adults, not ones who chase families into parking lots and behave irrationally over tips, especially tips not deserved. This experience was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
