A boutique children's store in the heart of Park avenue in Winter Park. They have everything from toys, accessories, clothing, and more! It is definitely a higher price, higher end children's store, but they have plenty of quality items to look through and consider - especially for special occasions. I popped in here to see if they might have a cute dress for my daughter's upcoming birthday in April. I didn't end up getting anything but the staff was incredibly helpful in looking through different items and the store was well organized and clean making it easy to shop. The staff are super nice and accommodating. Not only were they helpful with our questions, we came in with our 3 month old and needed to breastfeed. We know every place of work is different and there is never an expectation to be allowed to breastfeed within a place of work, but the staff here accommodated my fiancé so she could comfortably and safely breastfeed. 10/10 will keep coming here and share it with others based on this interaction. I did some holiday shopping recently and had a good experience. This shop has a great selection of gifts for babies and children. They also have specialty items for baptisms and other childhood milestones that might be hard to find elsewhere. I ended up purchasing a small backpack for my niece. The staff were so kind and did a lovely job gift wrapping the present. My only issue with this store is the pricing. Some items are definitely higher end and are worth the price, but others definitely have a high mark up. If you have time to shop around, definitely check to see if you can find the item for a better price elsewhere. Most of the time, you can. I spent nearly $50 on a small nylon backpack which is a bit much. However, we love this store and I love gifting from them. read more

Maybe try not to have products displayed on dirty floors. Bottoms of jellycats propped up on the floors were all dirty. Gross.

I called ahead of time to make sure they had a certain jellycat in stock and confirmed the item number and pricing and said they would hold it for me. I got to the store and the girl remembered talking to me but told me they did not have it. I specifically drove to Park Ave for nothing. Feel like they lied to me just so they could try and sell something else. Smiling and giggling while saying sorry. While there were other jellycats there I wanted a specific one and not some other plush. Waste of time and will never come back to this store. Buyer Beware. read more

Purchased two dresses for my daughter and her friend. Unfortunately the size didn't fit and as stated on their website you have 14 days for a return or exchange. I called one hour after purchasing to let them know the item did not fit and she stated I could only exchange and not return. Which goes against what their website says. I checked their receipt as well and no where does it say items are final sale or no returns allowed. Stay away from this store, prices are extremely high too. Found the same item in Bloomingdale's for $30 less. You just lost a new customer for your lack of professionalism. read more

Came across this store while strolling through Park Ave. the employees were extremely kind and friendly. They have a lot of cute outfits and some not so cute, but the pricing is outrageous. One velvet dress was $142! They do have some holiday stuff on clearance, but nothing like was to my liking. We bought a kids book on Maya Angelou that will be fun to teach my daughter some history ($8.99) and a traceable number board and map of the USA. You can purchase special crayons that will erase. I saw a plush unicorn that was $42 and I couldn't believe my eyes. I get it, it's Park Ave., but $42 for a small stuffed animal! Come on. We'll probably never return, but if you're in the mood for great customer service and overpriced goods than give this place a try. read more

I had the pleasure of spending a good amount of time in this store today. They have ALOT of really cute things! From designer clothing, shoes, accessories and themed birthday outfits which is nice. These are things that I would purchase from Nordstrom. Unfortunately there's no Nordstrom here in Orlando. Lots of unique and educational toys - brands like Fat Brain and Melissa and Doug. I definitely will be back...with my twins Grandmother so she can pay since you really can rack up the bill in here. I had to knock one star off (sorry) because I asked the girl if the items on the sale rack were 50% off the lowest ticketed price. She said "yes" but come to find out at the register after I was told what my final cost was the 50% off the lowest price only applied to certain items, which was disappointing. They should do prices as marked or take an additional 50% off marked items so there's no confusion. Other than that little snafu I will be back. read more

The first thought that entered my mind when I walked into this Hannibal Square shop is, "if I was a celebrity, this is how I would decorate my nursery." Tori Spelling for example. The décor was adorable. Soft pastel colors splashed everywhere with precious outfits displayed throughout. There were a few pieces of maternity clothing along with great baby gift ideas if you have an impending shower to attend. It was a peaceful and serene shop for all things baby. The service is not what I expect from a boutique! I purchased some shoes for my daughter around Thanksgiving, but they didn't fit. When I tried to return them, the clerk issued me a store credit and said they would special order them in the right size. I needed them by December 18. I never heard back from anyone. I even called once to check on them and never received a return call. I happened to be in the area on Christmas Eve so I stopped in to check on them. Evidently they had been sitting there the entire time. The store clerk was insincerely apologetic. I have shopped here for over 2 years and spent hundreds of dollars. I will not rely on them again for my child's clothing needs. read more

I got a $150 GC to Tugboat and the Bird when I had my baby and now that he is 13 months old I finally got around to visiting the store. I was so excited to finally get to find some cute clothes! My first impression is that it is filled with cute baby/child things and clothes. However, upon actually trying to buy something I had a REALLY hard time. The saleswoman was nice and helped me try shoes on my son. The problem lies in their lack of stock. Half of the store is clothing and when I asked about the boys clothes she said they had had a run on boys clothes and didn't have much left. They only had 2 racks (out of, say 20), and were very limited on sizes. One overall I only just sort-of liked and was his size was $82! Just the overall, not even a shirt with it! Even with free money I wouldn't buy it, it wasn't THAT cute... I even told the lady that I wanted to spend the entire GC today because I live so far away from the shop that I wouldn't get the chance to come back anytime soon. Even with free money burning a hole in my pocket I could not spend it! For instance, I would have bought a Christmas or Thanksgiving outfit but she said they didn't have many left, the ones they did were the wrong size or for girls. It was October 1st and you are already out? When I asked how and when they replenish their stock she didn't seem to know. I would have gotten a Gator polo but they didn't have his size. I looked for a brown shoe but they had very little in stock. Frustrating. I drove 45 minutes on a Friday afternoon, was sooo excited and ended up leaving disappointed. I guess if you are just buying a gift the place would be fine, or maybe if you have a girl because they had tons of girl clothes. It was a big bummer and let-down for us and I still have a $17 credit that I may never use. read more

Some people will love this shop, others will hate it, and some, like me, could take it or leave it. It is quintessential Park Ave- they carry extraordinarily expensive kids' clothes - think $80 onesies. If embroidered smocks are your thing (and, around here, they are everybody's thing), you should go. On the positive side, the staff is helpful and they have frequent sales. Unique and super cute are good words to describe the Tugboat & the Bird, a kids clothing and accessories shop located in Winter Park. This shop prides itself on standing out from the rest and carry "timeless classics that capture childhood." The clothing here is uber cute. While it's somewhat trendy, most of it is what I remember seeing in my baby pictures, clothes that are meant for babies....which is not always the case with baby clothes. The girls dresses are frilly, lacey and come in bright pinks, blues, purples and yellows. For boys, lots of collared shirts, tiny loafers, jeans and khakis...apparel that can be worn for any occasion really. The list of brands that they carry is endless and quite impressive too. You can find them all on their website. This is the kind of place where you can find those rare items usually only found in catalogs. Aside from clothing for you child, you can also find maternity clothing and items as well. Maternity clothes no longer consist of stretch waisted pants, trash bag shirts and dresses and anything oversized you can find. Instead, the clothes are actually fashionable, cute and fun, especially since the baby-doll and loose fitting shirts and dresses are in these days, regular clothes can actually be worn while pregnant. You can also find baby bedding, toys and fun room decor as well. Prices are not the same as Babys R Us and definitely more expensive. If you can afford, great, but if you can't I would keep an eye out for sales or only shop here for those rare items that you just have to have for your baby and can't find elsewhere. This is the best children's boutique in greater orlando area! There is great service, good selection, fun seasonal items, and lots of options for little ones. My only negative is that there is a small boy section compared to girl section. I usually leave with plenty of clothing for our girls, but their poor lil brother only gets something occasionally. read more
