Got a pedicure. The water was cold for soaking. Then I went to pay & the service was $75 plus tip. $55 for the scraping & trimming etc & $20 for the gel. I cried when I got to my car. That is why I don't go anymore. It's unaffordable & then you get cold water & are still expected to tip! I will not be back! read more

I visited this nail shop for the first time today and asked for a soak-off for my nail polish. The technician (who is of Asian descent) said she could do that, but once I sat down, she began using a machine instead. I explained that the machine makes my nails too soft and asked her to stop, but she ignored me and continued. When I asked if she was listening, she responded "no" in English. It felt like she was pretending not to understand me, even though she clearly did. The lack of communication and disregard for my request made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. Came here to tulip just to get a quick soak off . Never come here cause of a fungus I got a couple years ago but it was convenient and I just needed a soak off . Boy was I wrong . . She assured me she had time to do the soap off quickly as I expressed I had an appt in an hour an a half I had to get too. She was multitasking between four other people which is extremely disgusting and decided to take me anyway knowing I'm on a time limit trying to make her money , I get it . After about 40 minutes of sitting there for a soak off, I asked her if she could please sit down and finish helping me take off my nails so I could pay and leave. She became very upset. She was obviously very overwhelmed with every client she was trying to complete at once . I asked her to calm down , she got more upset and she kicked me out of the nail salon with my nails half soaked off. On my way out I attempted to take a Picture of the complaint sign to make a report, as some random white lady proceeded to scream at me to "get out, she told you to get out . I'm acting as her lawyer ..."I can not make this up . The lady who I assume now is the owner told the lady to calm down .She just kept sitting there screaming get out. It felt like an episode of Punked , I kid you not . This place is a ghetto mess every time I go in there . Don't bother. read more

The walk-in experience was great and I got helped right away when entering the door.The place is neat and clean with beautiful decor. Everyone is polite, nice and knowledgeable about nails. First time going and I absolutely loved it! Asked for new full set of solar nails as mine were pink and white. My daughter got almond French tips and our final product looks great! read more

I was hesitant to come bc of the previous reviews, but my experience was fantastic from the start. The inside is clean, there are many pedicure seats available, they accept walk ins. We went during the afternoon, we walked right in, did a fantastic job, we both got gel polish. Came here with a friend who was in town because my normal place was packed and we were on a time crunch. Not only did the guy do the wrong color he hurt me while filing my nails. They were also uneven and I had to fix them at home myself. Two days after getting my dip done which usually lasts me 4 weeks two nails have broken. My friends nails were grainy and uneven. Came in here with daughter for a pedicure, was greeted, clerk was friendly and said it would be a 15 minute wait, which was fine. We got seated right away. An older gentleman started my pedicure everything was going well then it's like he rushed through everything. My daughter and I got the same package and her tech did a lot more than mine did. My tech didn't even trim my nails to make them even. The massage was like just here rub this lotion into your leg. Not a relaxing experience at all. If I do go back I will definitely ask for someone else. read more

They are amazing,they are so professional,friendly,and knowledgeable in taking care of everything from eyebrows to nails with a great spa feeling. I drive over 1 hour round trip to get my nails done by them only,because they do such a great job. Today Cindy did such a great job on all my nails and even took time to fix a cracked nail. Got my acrylic set soaked off, thankful they didn't rip them off. Then asked for a manicure with REGULAR polish. Proceeded to use a gel top coat when the regular polish wasn't dry. My daughter and I went to get pedicures. Neither of us got a full pedicure. No massage, my daughter has cuts all around her cuticle and the polish looks like a three year old did it. My daughters toes hurt from the cuts. We chose the 45.00 pedicure which in the past would have been a 30-40 minute service. My daughters was 18 minutes and mine was less than 20. So first I want to talk about the good: You get two drinks (alcohol and non-alcoholic) included in your service. Also, there is a coupon for 20% off on the back of your Temple HEB receipts. However, they are only good Monday through Thursday and you have to get both a manicure and pedicure. I got the most basic service and it ended up being $31 plus tip. But man was it basic! I've never gotten a mani pedi that was so quick and simple. Typically in Chicago (were I'm from) it is standard to get a mani pedi for $30, but usually they will massage your hands and feet or something. I felt like I could've done the mani pedi myself and just saved the money. Also, I was with a friend who was getting gels and rather than sitting us next to each other after our pedicures, she went to the table and they quickly did my nails on the pedicure chair. I had my solar nail refill done by Tee because she was referred to me. My nails were looking pretty decent the day of. As the days went by (yesterday, Friday made a week) the edges/sides of the powder started chipping. So I just knew that Tee would correct her work....oh but no. She tells me that she doesn't cover the entire nail during a "fill". Now I get that but her being a professional you'd think she would have informed/ offered me the service that would have covered my sides/edges of my nail. All she did was applied some nail glue....LADY BYE!!!! I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! MY MONEY WILL & HAS SPENT AT ESTABLISHMENTS WHO HONOR THEIR WORK. Yang did my nails, applied "organic" dip powder for a French tip. They were $47. I don't expect visible imperfections at that price, but there were some. I went back to get them fixed, and those arrogant women questioned me as if I was imagining the bump in my nails, smudge, and crooked line of the tip. Then, the person who "repaired" them used Gel Top Coat and tried to lie and tell me she was using a dip tip coat. I walked out. Yes, I wasted $52 (w/ a tip). But they lost $52 x 12 months x the rest of my life. I'll find a nail salon that does excellent work. Tulip just lost me and any other customer who cares about they quality of what they spend money on. read more

I went in for a relaxing pedicure. I didn't find a nail polish in an orange that I really liked but I had my own so the lady used mine. I sat in their chair. I'm short so I started adjusting the back of the chair so I didn't feel like I was laying down only to be told that chair was broken. I asked to move & that didn't happen. Their margarita machine was broken so I didn't feel relaxed or pampered. I normally choose the super deluxe pedicure but since I didn't feel very pampered, I chose the Classic pedicure & I got my toes painted with my polish. Afterwards as I was leaving I asked for my polish back only to be told they had put it back on the shelf with their polishes. I finally found my polish (or at least I think it was mine). If you just want your toes painted, go to this nail salon. If you want to feel relaxed & pampered go somewhere else. read more

Horrible service! I was in town visiting my family for the Easter weekend. I got the SNS nails treatment. Which I regularly get. The man who filed my nails made them bleed! He wouldn't go gentle on them after I told him to. Result was just as bad. There was still residue left around my nails, they hurt for week. I have never had service this bad. Everything was just horrible overall. The service is just worse. I came in after these three ladies wanting pedicures, I felt bad that my manicure was done before they even had paint on their toes. Terrible technician. I got a regular spa pedicure and acrylic refills. He painted on my toe cuticles and didn't clean it up. When I looked down while he did the top coat, he was painting cross ways across the nails. My nails are terrible. Powder was applied much too thick. I asked for a little bit of a file-down, and he took out the drill and annihilated all my natural nail length (I thought the drill would be used only lightly). Sloppy paint job and even sloppier top coat. And the whole thing was so uncomfortable to sit through, as he didn't even try to be gentle with the tools or his nails. Beautiful facility, but not worth it for the painful process with a rough tech and the cruddy outcome. read more

The place was nice and my toes look good but I ended up getting an infection in my foot from them scrubbing my heel too hard with a scrubber that looked used previously. Will not return, and hopefully the antibiotics clear up my infection quickly. They also set a timer for your pedicure and speed up if they go over time. read more

I went in there today to get a filling for my acrylics and the man who did my nails, did it terribly! The polish he used must've been bad or something and he didn't do anything about it! It ended up have brush strokes in it. Then I asked him to do a cheetah design and a hair from the brush fell out and landed on my nail and when I notified him he just painted over it and you can still see it! I'm going back tomorrow to get them redone then never going back again!!! read more

I have been here numerous times over the last few years and have recommended this place to friends. I am now unhappy with Tulip Nails and have decided to move on. As with any nail salon, sometimes a bad experience can be an off day or even an individual employee's lack of skill/will. Why am I disappointed? Because after multiple visits I am left with more nicks and cuts than I ever should be. Both manicures AND pedicures have resulted in sharp pain after cuticle cutting goes too deep. There have been at least 4 times where I have started to bleed enough that the employee uses SUPERGLUE to patch me up. The last few visits my nails looked worse than if I had done them myself. There is no longer a value in coming to this salon. Also, what's with the high pressure to get gel nails? read more
