This has been one of my favorite spots to get a pedicure for at least 3 years. I love the atmosphere. However, the past year I've found myself being very disappointed with the service. I don't plan to go back. I hate it when I have a male technician. They always seem to be annoyed. Yesterday I got a male technician that was especially angry acting! After a sub standard job, he abruptly got up and left me sitting in the chair. I took myself over to the drying tables, turned on the fan/light then went to the register to pay. I'm not at all a picky customer, but this guy really hurt my feelings. Another thing that I find very unfair is that they hold you hostage by instantly placing you in a chair when you arrive with a foot soak even though there are not enough technicians to get to you in a timely manner. save your money!!! if i could give a zero rating.. i would! this place is highly unprofessional and always in a hurry. i went in to get a mani/pedi. the pedicure was extremely rushed but she got the job done. my mani was being worked on before i even left the pedicure chair. i had gel from the previous time i had gotten my nails done so one technician had done my first soak, drill repeat. then when the tech working on my toes finished, she did the same. she finally moved me over to her chair for a mani but not only her but someone else started working on my nails, then it went back to the original person. i asked for a black french tip with gel polish. this is by far the worst manicure i've ever gotten. the tips are super thick and straight across (some tips are crooked even). the gel polish is so thick and clumpy. my pinky nail looks like it has a huge dent in it. my thumb nail looks like there's a wart in the side because the gel polish spilled too much to one side because of how thick of polish she was putting on in one coat. there's bubbles within the polish and even a hair from a towel. my cuticles are black! i paid $45 for a gel manicure on my natural nails that look terrible!!!! read more

It started pleasantly enough. The owner came up and assured me he had my color in both shellac and regular polish. I explained that I needed my nails repaired and filled; he pushed me to get shellac "because its better for the nails." I demurred but then everyone who followed insisted on shellac, so I gave in. They offered me a choice of beer, wine or a daqueri. I chose wine. The lady started my pedicure and another started soaking my nails. My pedicure had barely started when the ladies began a very animated discussion, resulting in another person coming to finish the pedicure. In other words, my feet were too bad for the first operator. The pedicure was ok, but my feet were still rough and I had to use a pumice stone to smooth them out when I got home. The girl doing my nails was too impatient to soak my nails off so she started peeling them off.. which meant the nails were torn. She tried to "fix" that using superglue. Then she ground them down with a dremel before polishing them. Long story short, I spent the next week trimming back my torn and damaged nails. The shellac also did not even stay on a week. My nails were so damaged I kept on trimming them until all 10 were to the quick. I went back to my usual salon (it had been closed while the operator was on vacation) and they kept saying, "They dremel'd your nails for SHELLAC???" Then they went to do my pedicure, and I had a FUNGUS on my big toe!. I have been getting pedicures for 15+ years and have NEVER had a fungus before. I waas disgusted and horrified. Long story short, they ruined my nail beds and gave me a toe nail fungus, and charged me almost $100.00 to do so. Stay away. read more

I usually have a good experience when visiting but unfortunately this last visit was not pleasant. First off the nail tech cut my skin by pressing to hard with a nail file then she cut one of my nails too short. I informed her of the discomfort and asked another tech to tell her to be gentle. Well she proceeds to spray and apply chemicals which burned the open cut. The entire time she seemed like she was rushing through the process. She had to leave and I had another tech finish my paint which was not smooth at all along my cuticles and was chipping as soon as I left. Not worth the 38 dollars I had to pay. Also I was throw off by the 8-9 year old boy who showed us to our seat and started the water for us. Very disappointed. read more

Ive now been to this place twice. Once when i came here for my job interview, and once after i moved here. The good: this place is Huge! It has probably the biggest selection of nail polishes I have ever seen. The chairs are very luxurious and there are pretty blue lights in the pedicure tubs. They offer you an "adult beverage" while your service is performed. That's the good. Now for the bad: I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure. In the past when I get a double service like that other places, they usually set up so that your nails are done while you are receiving your pedicure. It saves a lot of time. I was surprised when I came in and hardly anyone was there so it was not busy, but they did not set up to do my manicure simultaneously. I didn't get upset because I wasn't in a hurry that day, but after my pedicure was done they made me move over to the manicure stations. That's when things went downhill. They also don't have any sample nails that you can look at to choose a gel color--you just have to go over and look at the bottles and see if you can figure out what color your nails might turn out by looking at the bottle! Once i chose a color, my pedicure girl started my manicure, then someone else took over, then a third person came in and finished! No explanation or apology was given. I was not very happy by now. As if that were not enough, the guy who was trimming my cuticles cut too deep and left me with several painful bleeding spots. He also kept texting on his phone while he was working on me!! By now I was very upset. I almost didn't tip at all because I didn't know even who to give it to since so many people had worked on me. In the end I did leave a small tip only because I felt sorry for them. I don't know if they offer people alcohol so they hopefully don't notice the bad service they are getting or what, but that's the last time I've been there and I'm not going back. Its not even that cheap. My gel manicure was $36. For that kind of money I would expect decent service. read more

What a terrible, terrible experience my cousin and I had here. AND this was her birthday present (getting a pedicure) which made it even worse! I made an appointment for the two pedicures at 4:00. We got there and had our tubs filled up. No problem. But then 10 minutes goes by. Then 20. Then over 30! I start looking around because by now, our water is cold. This guy comes over and apologizes saying that they are busy. FINALLY two technicians come over and do our nails. My technician takes my nail polish off and does a couple other things. But then she disappears!! So strange! Another technician after 10 minutes comes and apologizes. He says the other one got busy. He barely gives me a massage but finishes my pedicure. My cousin who neverrrrr complains yells out because the wax they put on her was extremely hot! I looked and parts of her legs and feet were bright red! Then the owner comes and apologizes for the wait and says it's because someone was in an accident? We had no idea if it was a technician or client, it didn't make sense. I was expecting a discount or for them not to charge us at all but it was full price. Oh also I forgot to mention that while we were waiting those multiple times, all these people were on their phone, watching tv,not really looking "busy". I go to get my nails done for the wedding at Tulip Nails & Spa and I'm just sitting there in the middle of my pedicure and the guy is standing next to me doing my nails and all of a sudden a man tell the lady doing my nails something and the lady literally takes off running!! I'm thinking there's some type of emergency and then the guy stops my nails and leaves too. I'm literally sitting there for a good 5 minutes. I then see the health Inspector come and look around. Then the guy that is doing my nails comes back and has me go to his table. I tell him I didn't get my toes finished and they're not even painted yet and he tells me he'll come back to it. I go to get my nails done and told him I hope I get some type of discount for all this craziness and he says of course. He finishes my nails and takes me back to the chair just to paint my toes and tells me I'm done. I know good and well they didn't finish everything on my toes and legs for the package I picked. I go to pay and he says they only gave me $5 off. Y'all I about lost myself!! I told them how are they only going to only take $5 off when they had a lady doing my toes that wasn't even licensed. She says oh she was licensed and I told her you know good and well she wasn't or she wouldn't have ran to hide in the back and come back out and say "now I can come back out" when the inspector left! I called and asked for the owner to call me back (since I knew she wasn't there when I was leaving, she only came for the inspector and left) and never got a call back!! read more

I went to Tulip Nails because I'm new in town and a friend referred it to me. I went in to get a fill and polish change. Everything was fine at first, they offered me a drink and they had tons of polish to choose from. I sat down and began getting my nails done. I don't know if she wasn't very experienced but by the time she was finished my nails looked worse than they did when I came in! The old polish was still around most of my nails, all of them were uneven and super thick. Also, the new polish, which was shellac looked awful! Very uneven and sloppy. I was in a hurry so I left only to realize when I got back to my car and saw them in the sunlight, they were even worse! Unfortunately I had to get to work and worry about it later. Come Monday, (since Father's Day was Sunday I wasn't able to go) I walk back in and tell the guy at the front desk that I am not happy, I showed him everything I didn't like and asked for them to be re done. He agrees and tells me to come back and sit down. All the while he is doing my nails over, he is very rude and basically acts like I'm in the wrong for not being able to enjoy my new 40 dollar set of nails. He finishes and my nails STILL look like CRAP!!! He barely took the time to finish what was actually wrong, he went in filed the polish off and re painted them! I'm sorry, but first of all, you shouldn't have people working there that are not able to do the task at hand and secondly when a customer is not satisfied you shouldn't be so rude about it. I was never out of line and even tipped. I think this place needs to rethink their customer service values. I will never be back or refer anyone to this place! I I did go to Paris Nails to get them fixed, and my nails look amazing now! Also, the customer service at Paris nails is REMARKABLE! read more

Nice place but worse service. I had both a pedicure and manicure done. My manicure went horrible starting with the color, I complained that it was too light, he told me I should use a darker color. He continued to work same color on my nails. He filed and cut my nails for a long time and trimming my fingers so he could file my nail. I left there with nicks around nail. My nails were filed and cut so low that they hurt. Through it all the guy disappeared in the end and staff couldn't find him. Others finished up my nails, and I paid and left. My fingers hurt for 4 days until the nails grew a little. I will never return to this salon. There was a reason that they were empty when another salon a few doors down was full. read more

This was my first time and let's just say it WILL BE MY LAST TIME. I was there for a fill, repair, pedi, and my daughter a new set. It was the worst experience. I tried talking with the person doing my pedi and asking her question and she had no clue on what I was saying because she just shook her head yes when it was not a yes no question! I asked for a design and a lady moved me saying she would do it after my fill, then the fill and repair was done so quickly that the tips of my nails were all different shapes. I asked for square tips and she only did square tips to the ones that needed to be repaired so I had to repeat what I was wanting. There was' not too much filing done to my nails because they are rough! I was then moved back to pedi chair and waited for someone to do my design AGAIN! FINALLY IT WAS DONE! $102 Later I was not impressed. Service was a rush job. I recently had an awful experience and will no longer take my business here. My friend and I got spa pedicures her stylist started 20 minutes before mine showed up and finished after mine. She was then lead back to the other room to get her manicure while I was told to sit for a few minutes so they could clean a station. I sat for 45 minutes before I saw someone to ask for help....I was then asked "oh no you're still here...?" I then had a man do my acrylics I would love to mention a name but neither person introduced themselves, he however was more open for chit chat which was nice but after seeing my end result I wish he would have solely focused on my nails as they're uneven, lumpy, polish on my skin and my cuticles are a mess. I tipped him before he finished as I prepaid a higher price then what was in their menu. I paid in cash and asked for a receipt which was never brought to me. I left feeling defeated as I don't like to be rude, however I have a special event today and these nails are just awful, I emailed the company in regards to a refund we'll see where this goes and keep y'all posted read more

Horrible customer service. Horrible hygiene practices. During my pedicure I noticed that the woman was about to cut my nail too deep and told her to stop. She did not listen and and made me bleed. I talked to the owner and he said that it is normal to sometimes bleed during a pedicure. The manager and owner had no sense of customer service and did not care about my comfort or hygiene. The manager even accused me of lying. If you would like to bleed during your pedicure, risk getting an infection, and be treated by people who have poor communication skills and even worse customer service, head on over to Tulip! read more

Went in for a pedicure and received the worst pedicure I have ever had... The owner had to wake my technician up from her nap in one of the pedicure chairs. The technician was very rude and kept trying to get me to agree to have the "super super deluxe pedicure". Very nice and clean! Massaging pedicure chairs and drinks, even alcoholic, while you get a mani or pedi. They use individually wrapped, sterile tools. My only complaint was that the foot massage was a little short and weak. My toes definitely look cute though! read more

I am a 53 and this is the worse mani-pedi that I've ever had. just walked out totally disappointed after already paying and having left a greater than 20% tip since they always paint after you pay. The lady painted all around my cuticles. It looked like a total slop job. When I asked for them to be redone another lady with an attitude came to take nail polish off so she could redo it. First comment she made was that it was because of my cuticles which was ludicrous but then just as she was about to redo the paint she tells me that I need to make sure I don't move so I don't mess them up AS IF anything that I did had anything to do with the incompetence of the other woman. I had it then and just got up and told her I would paint them myself at home. Then when leaving noticed she painted my toes just as badly. I'm so very upset and will never go back to them and now I've thrown away $87 and need a new mani-pedi :( read more

employees cannot understand enough to correct any problem that you have with your nails they cannot tell you why your nails in one day or explain it that it would not happen again if you chose a different polish . I believe that they stretch the polish to make it last longer and therefore that is why I asked for someone who spoke and said wrote English and there was no one available. they call the owner and she said "just come back again no problem" well I wanted something in writing to say that I would have a credit when I had time, but no one could understand. I will not go back, I will tell everyone I know and I will explain the situation and asked everyone I come in contact with that does their nails, please go to the different salons to get good service and quality Polish. Came here last week and had my nails done, I got acrylics on and the guy somehow put them on crooked! When I asked him to fix it, he said that that was how my nails curved..........what?! The paint job he did was also horrible, he got the polish everywhere. I ended up going to a different place and had them redo my nails altogether. Hi, I went into Tulip Nail & Spa on April 23,2016 expecting to receive great service. This was my 1st time ever being there I went there with my 3 grand daughters I have heard great things about this place. My experience was awful my grand daughters are 10, 7, 3 the 10 yr old got a pedicure and I did also . The little ones just wanted toe nails and hand nails painted. I expected to be seated next to each other and the 2 little ones in the Bear chairs instead they got seated at the bar area and got their hands & toe nails painted right there. This was after a young man told us they could go sit in the bear chairs which was across the room from me only for them to be told by the front desk man with a tablet to move out of the chairs si he could let a lady & her child sit there. So I told them to come back to the bar stools because the 10yr old & I were seated by that area I wanted to be able to keep an eye on them. That was rude of that man I thought meanwhile the water got ice cold I woke up with a sore throat because we had been left there waiting that long to get pedicures. We got bad service needless to say for $84 dollars which is ridiculous for the way we were treated. I looked at the girls hands they were not painted correctly at all or there toes either. It was a waste of my money & time I will never go there & will tell everyone I know not to go there it was bad service from the get go very disappointed & dissatisfied with our experience. I got my eyebrows waxed as well I have little hairs still left on one eye and I looked closely at my toes and they also are not done right. That is a lot of money to me to be treated this way I will never go back even if they gave me a gift certificate or told me it was free!. I would like to see tis business closed read more
