This was posted on craigslist Dear Customers of Tully's Kennel, Where do I start of? First and foremost, I used to work for the owners Tom and Julie Tully. If you simply type in "Tully's Kennel" you'll find "Puppy Mill" in bold captions all over. When clicking on the Tully's Kennel site, it states that they are NOT a puppy mill and they don't condone puppy mills by any means... Well, THAT IS ALL LIES. Working for this company was a horrible mistake that I truly regret. Tully's Kennel is a complete puppy mill. The puppies that get brought into tully's kennel are received from puppy mills. They are NOT in compliance with the USDA, Humane Societies, Cruelty Prevention Societies, and applicable Kennel Clubs. SOME are. and by some, I mean 20% percent of them are. When the puppies first come into the facility, the workers are told to wash the puppies to get rid of the odor and the stools that are attached to the puppies skin at times from being in the puppy mill. It was heartbreaking for me to work there and see how sick of the puppies came in. It was all about the profit for Tully's Kennel. Anyhow, after the puppies would be washed, they'd be sprayed with perfume and sent to the puppy room in the kennels. It takes some puppies weeks, if not months for them to be adopted. Those that don't get adopted get put into the boarding facility and get used as breeding dogs in the kennel area. The puppies you see in those tiny kennels have never seen grass. Never. Most of the puppies that are also in those cages have severe health problems. When I worked there, I was told to not write down information for the owner who will purchase about the dogs health problems. Some of the cages have latches on the top of the cages. Those latches signify that the dog has health problems; which you, as the customer, won't ever know. Why are the prices so high? Well, like I said, "It is all about the profit". Julie the owner who also does grooming told me to always tell the customers that they are from high quality breeders; which is complete BS. When you purchase your puppy, you will notice it has a tattoo on the inside of its stomach. That is supposed to 'signify' that it is your puppy. That is a lie. That tattoo is meant for the breeder. Your puppy get's held down to receive that tattoo. I had to do this and I remember trying to hold back tears from hearing the puppies squeal from pain. When purchasing a puppy, they will tell you that it doesn't harm them in any way-shape-or form. That is a lie as well. It is the same as a human getting tattooed. It is quite painful. Now, about their boarding facility. You may want to pay close attention to your dogs health if you are boarding your dog there. The odor that you smell, are the mice that are living in the kennels. It is infested with mice. If you ask one of the workers if you could see the kennel in which your pet is boarding in, they will simply tell you "hold on." and clean up the mice traps that are back there and the feces that are laying in the back. They will then show you to the back. Which, you won't be allowed to see fully... You'll only walk a foot inside the kennel and then they tell you they can't show you any further than that for 'insurance policies', which is untrue. We weren't allowed to show because of the odor being horrendous and the mice that would be scattered around. There would be dead mice in your dogs water bowls, which won't get cleaned up until whoever works in the kennel feels like it. Not to mention, your dog will be yelled at for barking or kicked at. During the winter time if your dog were to bark (even just once) it'll be sprayed with a hose. Some of the dogs aren't up to date with their shots, which YOUR DOG CAN CATCH. Some of the puppies that are in the "Puppy Room" have their parent's in the kennel for breeding purposes. Those breeding dogs for tully's kennel are meant for breeding over and over again (in which, they have health problems and don't get checked out). Some of the breeding dogs that are in the boarding facility with your dogs have to be put down or left to die because they are either too old, can't produce puppies, and/or are too aggressive. The Nebraska Humane Society stops by at Tully's Kennel often. Not for yearly inspection, but due to the complaints. If you purchase from Tully's Kennel, be prepared to deal with multiple health problems, frustration and many costs in order to get your dog back to health. Working there, I have vouched to finally tell my story with what really goes on. This is not a place you want to purchase a puppy from. read more

This sick place supports puppy mills. Please go to a reputable breeder or better yet a rescue. When it comes to breeders, if you cannot see the facility or meet the pup's parents, it IS a puppy mill. Some of the puppy mills that this place buys from are on the horrible hundred list. Sad that they see puppies as objects, don't care about the lives of the puppies parents, and lie and say that they exist to help people who don't know how to find a reputable breeder. Well..we bought our baby beagle from tully's 3 months ago...and was happy to see that the vet we had used for our oldest daughters dog was a "tully's vet..we took her there..and she came back with a clean bill of health...I trust this vet completely..she knows I am a stickler for all things for our pets...and am known in our small town as a bit of an "a**hol;e" if I do not get what I think I have paid for..not proud of it, but that is who I am..Tully's was VERY good at answering our questions about their dogs...my young daughter was also "coached" by the man there that "puppies are cute and warm and snuggly, but they also poop, barf, and take up a lot of time..dont get one if you cant take care of it....well we all take care of her ...Beatrice, our Beagle is a great pet.. I could not be happier with our purchase from Tully's..I would send any of my friends there..she has a great life here...she is chasing rabbits in our big yard., and having a great time as part of our family...just as a Beagle should...she is this old man's new "bud" 5 stars to tully's read more

No stars. This place is nasty af. ADOPT DONT SHOP... If you genuinely like this place, you need to be educated. Tulleys you should be ashamed of yourself... how can you treat animals like that.. they stand on wire kennels with no padding? Do you have hearts. gfy. Response to the owner: you treat the animals like your own? Ooof. You keep your animals in metal cages with no padding for their little paws. Don't make excuses for treating animals awful to put money in your pockets. I'm not buying any of the bs you have to say. There is a reason you have been shut down numerous times. read more

The puppies here are absolutely adorable, but it broke my heart to see how many of them looked sick and showed clear signs of giardia. You can tell they're not feeling well, many of them were cuddled together for warmth as they were all shaking. It was so heartbreaking to see them in this condition. The staff was very kind, but the dogs just seemed so down and miserable, it honestly made me want to take them all home to give them the love and care they deserve. I really hope they get proper treatment and find safe, loving homes soon. read more

We got this little flower from Tully's in April of 2017 and he's absolutely lit up our lives. He's the smartest dog I've ever owned and very healthy and loving. My husband's twin brother even got his litter mate and we get them together as much as we can to play. These good boys have changed our lives and only made them better. If we end up getting a second doggo we will definitely be going to Tully's. Only cons are high prices but it ensures that the pups go to good homes I guess. read more

I absolutely love this place they always have great puppy's and a very great variety! The puppy's are great and pretty well behaved for being in a kennel for a long time. I've recommended Tully's to very many people and they have all come! The only bad side is, that the staff is sometimes a bit rude but it's not all of them. I have been looking for a dachshund and a corgi for about 9 months now and have found very cute ones at Tully's. So I highly recommend Tully's!! read more

We bought our purebred Pug from here 1 year ago. Took her to VCA animal hospital and the vet said she was healthy and that they see lots of quality puppies from there. The kennel smells because they have so many dogs-but they are always cleaning it and moving dogs inside/outside. We boarded her there for two nights and she came home healthy. It's not a puppy mill--they don't breed the dogs they have. All the breeders are local and they have contact info available. read more

Satisfactory reviews on here are provided by the owner and friends. This place is horrible and disgusting!! Julie Tully is a liar, cheat, manipulator, and all around evil human being. People that buy pets from here or lie about how this place is ok can go to hell along with Julie. Julie runs a puppy mill, plain and simple. The Nebraska Humane society recently (this week) took in 62 dogs from a breeder than sells to Tully's. Please do not support this puppy mill. Check out local rescue groups and NHS...the prices are MUCH better and the dogs have recieved medical care and behavioral assessment. Don't Shop, Adopt! read more
