I found Tulman Eye Group by way of a provider search. I'm a new patient, but the staff made me feel very welcomed. It's a great feeling to be greeted with smiles. The staff was professional and looked great in their matching scrubs too. Wait times were short, including mine. I saw Dr. Saadat, and he was just as friendly as the other staff members. He was also very professional as well as knowledgeable. Dr. Saadat performed a thorough exam. I had never experienced an exam as detailed as the one I received at Tulman. Dr. Saadat communicated very well and was patient throughout the entire appointment. He also made sure that all of my questions were answered. I have been going there for years, Don't waste your time. After confirming with my insurance and the office several times that my exam was covered I was told at the desk that I HAD to give them an additional $44. They wanted it bad! I had been told 5 times about the no sho fee tho. They were mean and unprofessional they flat turned when they couldn't get that bogus extra fee. They had me waiting around then told me although I been going there for years they had to have that extra $44. So disappointed and I will make sure to tell everyone I can about how they do business. My son who's on the Autism spectrum received his first pair of glasses from here. The Doctor was great with him. The optical staff is unresponsive by phone! Although we ordered scratch resistant glasses, his glasses still have scratches. After a few months of wearing his glasses, I called the office several times without any answers. I've left voicemails, without any return phone calls to confirm that they received my voicemail. The optical staff is unresponsive and ill prepared! I had to drive over to the office to get anyone to assist me and they still had me waiting in the lobby for 30 mins. After someone finally assisted me, they tell they just ordered more lenses and it will take some time to arrive. I sure hope they will call me when they finally arrive. I almost feel sorry for myself that I've been living under a rock all these years. Tulman Eye Group is located in a medical plaza and has plenty of parking. The office is clean and well organized. This place has advanced technology I've never seen before and has completely changed my eye care experience. What was I even doing before??? I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon for my 4:00 appointment. The office was rather busy but I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. I barely had time to start my new patient paperwork. My old eye doctor was old and archaic in his practices. I had never seen an autorefractor before :-( -- again, I was living under a rock. Heather, the tech who saw me before Dr. Truong arrived was so nice. She used the autorefractor with my contacts in and out to determine my contact lens prescription. It was very accurate in the reading. Dr. Truong is seriously so nice and professional. He has a great sense of humor and is very knowledgable. He also kept it real with me on some of my bad practices and how it can affect my eyeballs. The staff who work there, particularly Heather and Minke were so sweet and were very honest with me. I appreciated the customer service. I should mention the restroom facilities were also clean as I needed to wash my hands several times dealing with my contact lenses. My overall first experience was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend this office to anyone seeking a new eye doctor and good customer service. read more

My family and I have been going here for 6 years or more. This is the worst visit I have ever had. Not only was I there for over 2 hours, they didn't do a thorough exam, I didn't get help with ordering my glasses, I was told warranties weren't offered and then saw an option for a warranty on the table I was sitting at. It took them over 30 minutes to check me out and I was almost late to pick my son up from school. They just lost 3 clients all because I was insurance and not self pay. Dr. Tulman gives a very thorough eye exam. It is not just to see if I needed a new prescription. He looks at all aspects of my eyes. He has a bank of optometric instruments that check my vision on the side as well as frontal vision. Dr. Tulman also looks inside my eye to check the health of my eye. He found that I have a Nevus or freckle in the back of my eye that must be checked periodically to make sure it hasn't become cancer. read more

I have used this group several times and they've just been okay. Today was awful. It took over two hours for a routine eye exam. One of the four people I dealt with was semi-pleasant, the rest were rushed and rude. Once the technician did all the computer tests I was put in an exam room and waited for 30 minutes for the doctor to come in. I saw her take three other patients into the exam room across the hall from me that had been brought back AFTER me. When she finally did come in, she rushed through so quickly I wonder how she even got a good look at my eyes. They were all more concerned with pushing their new product, from which they are obviously getting kick-backs, than anything else. The optician was rude and I was then charged $125 for a trial pair of lenses that weren't even in stock (I've been wearing contacts for over 20 years, I don't need a trial). Customer service is awful - they will not reach out when your order is ready. You need to know exactly what you need before going in because they do not explain or take the time to listen and they will try to get you to spend as much money as possible on unnecessary services and products. read more

The staff is friendly and gets the job done. Dr. Truong made sure I understood what I was looking at when he pulled up my retina scan. His explanations were thorough and detailed in a way that left me feeling confident in my visual health. In my first visit, I was examined, fitted for contacts, dilated, and had my retina scanned. I have had several appointments at this location for myself and my children. All of the doctors and technicians I have seen have been absolutely wonderful! My daughter is only two years old and the staff was more than patient and encouraging to her. I will say, however, that I have experienced a few inconveniences that I feel people should be made aware of. First, they had absolutely no frames that would fit my daughter's small head. I had to go to three different stores and wound up ordering them online. Second, one of my daughter's appointments was rescheduled without my knowledge or consent. Finally, the front staff have been rude on several occasions and I am met with rude service every time I have called the office. However, the friendly, upbeat demeanor of the physicians and technicians more than make up for this. It is because of the service my family has received from them that we continue to choose this location. Dr. Truong specifically is absolutely WONDERFUL with my daughter. He is so upbeat, patient, encouraging, and energetic. Overall, this is a wonderful office and I have already recommended several friends to make appointments. read more

Just had my eye exam today. The pro's they are fast they get you right in to see the doctor and it all goes pretty smoothly. Doctor is friendly and most of the staff. The office is small but clean and it's in a good location. Cons- Have you ever had your eyes dilated? Doc didn't tell me they were going to put drops in my eyes that would hinder my eyesight for basically the remainder of the day. I had my 2 year old with me. I couldn't see I couldn't be around bright lights and my appt was at 10am on a clear sunny day. No warnings. I stated multiple times I was having a hard time seeing and that it was really awful and nothing, no response, just here is some paper shades for the light, but my vision was blurred and I was having discomfort. I was trying to pick out frames and could not and I had to drive home with my child and go back to work staring at computer screen. I am now completely nauseated (another side effect) also wasn't warned that would happen or I would have refused those drops. I called let their rep I believe her name was Mary know what I experienced and how I wasn't even warned the side effects. She basically made me feel like it was my fault I should have known these drops were going to dilate my eyes causing blurred vision and sensitivity to light and that the paper sun shades they gave me was sufficient enough. No apology. I wouldn't recommend this office. I hope this review will educate others the side effects of getting those drops bc I wasn't warned I am now dealing with headache, nausea, sensitivity to light, and just mental annoyance. read more

I visited Dr. Pamela Shepard for my annual eye exam. I am -7.0 in contacts, so it's important that I go every year and adjust my prescription if needed. She spent a lot of time with me, despite a very busy afternoon in the office, and actually ended up adjusting my prescription down. She also gave me several samples of contacts to try, and scheduled a follow-up with me on a Saturday so it wouldn't disrupt my weekday schedule so much. When I got my glasses, I realized that this is the first doctor to actually get my prescription perfect. I wondered why he spent so much time with me in the office. He said he was concerned that my eyes seem to be worse that the glasses that I came in with. It turns out that my old doctors just never bothered to take the time to get my prescription right.
