I visited the S. Peoria Ave location in Brookside. The salon is fairly spacious, with three or four stylists working with customers. Two more customers were seated in the waiting area. I was a walk-in, and after checking in, I waited about 10 minutes before being greeted by Hailey and taken to her station. My hair is quite curly, and it's always been difficult to find a barber or stylist who truly knows how to cut curly hair. Hailey spent a few minutes asking how I wanted it cut, then proceeded to give me exactly what I asked for. She used a Clipper setting of two for my sides and scissors for the rest. She checked in with me at various stages so there were no surprises. I also chose to get a shampoo after the cut, which was great. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and the cost was extremely reasonable. Bye-bye, barber--I think I've just found my new home for haircuts. read more

Worst blowout I've had. The wash was super rushed (2-3 minutes), and the blow dryer/technique left my naturally curly, thick hair frizzy. I asked for a flat iron on the frizzy parts and it didn't happen--she only put smoothing product on at the end. She even said she's never worked with my hair texture before, which honestly isn't something a client should have to worry about when they're paying for a professional service. This isn't my first blowout at all--every other stylist I've gone to has done a great job with my hair--so I know it can be done. I left looking like I brushed out my curls and let it air dry. Way over priced for the same crappy quality as a super cuts. Thought I would stop in and try a new place as I forgot to book with my regular gal (at a legitimate salon) and I didn't want to wait weeks to get in. Big mistake. First of all, I don't trust anyone who does a dry cut and doesn't offer a shampoo as an included amenity. They are not upfront with their prices. Paid however much for a very bad hair cut that was done first. and then paid extra for a shampoo and 'style' which was just the lady blow drying my hair. That's it. It wasn't even a proper blow out. no other tools were used. No curling iron. No straighter. Yet I was charged for a style. Get out of here. It was over $50 by the time I walked out. They have no business charging that at all. Maybe get some actual stylists in here who know what they are doing and review your price points. read more

A good hair cut is hard to find. I'm particular when it comes to the way my hairs are cut. I've got a cowlick and that makes it even harder. I'm a hair stylist worst nightmare. However, Sindia kills it every time. She's kind and conversational so I'm not just sitting there in silence. She's detailed and organized. She does everything a certain way to ensure I leave there looking fresh like a subway sandwich. Prices are reasonable for the current economic environment. The rest of the staff members I've found to be very kind as well. The shop is clean and smells good. The chairs at the rinse bowls are a little old and uncomfortable but that's really my only complaint. Great place to go here in Tulsa. read more

My son had an appointment for 4:45pm. We arrived to the location 20 minutes early and waited for his turn. The employee with purple hair checked out a customer right at 4:45 and told us she "just needs to clean up her station and will be right with us." Purple hair lady then continues to stand and have a conversation with her coworker for the next 10 minutes making eye contact with us on several occasions. At 5:00 a male customer enters and Purple hair woman takes him to her seat without acknowledging us. Extremely disappointed in the service or lack there of. Will not be returning or having any family/friends get their hair cut by this company. read more

This was easily one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. Today was my first and last time getting a haircut here. My stylist was dull, not detail oriented, and doesn't know how to do a proper fade. My hair isn't blended correctly and now I have to go somewhere else to get it redone! My advice is to spend a couple extra dollars and go someplace that knows how to cut properly. Update: after going to another barber they commented how the hair was unevenly cut along he sides and the back of my hair had a harsh ending and wasn't faded at all. read more

I found out about this place since it was nearby where I live. I was in need of a quick hair cut (the bottom of my hair was damaged by coloring and overall exposer to hair products and hot tools.) I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money since I am waiting to re-color my hair and stuff. I called ahead of time and the lady on the phone was really nice. When I arrived it was empty and they sat my right away. I showed her a picture of what I was thinking which was a trim and layers for dimension. Overall I am pleased with how it came out for the price. My hair felt so much better and lighter afterwards. Thank you so much! I will recommend this place to others read more

New to the state of OK. So I've been on the hunt for a new stylist.. checked this place out since it was recommended on Facebook. Staff was super nice (hence the 2 stars). They sat me with a stylist that is still learning, because she was corrected 2x from afar. My hair was above my shoulder length. And wanted a bob style. She did the cut and hardly blow dried my hair (that's a separate service). So I walked out with damp hair. Once my hair was dried and I was finally home, I noticed my hair was pretty uneven. No big deal. It's fixable. Called the next day to let them know I was coming back to get it fixed. They set me up with a senior stylist (again super sweet girl). Showed her the picture of how I wanted it and she confirmed it was fixable. Again, my hair was wet and when wet it looked okay. But I did notice something off. And didn't make much of it. When it was dried, I saw that it was all wrong, AGAIN! They were nice, but not experienced enough. They can keep the $20 I spent. I won't be going back. read more

I have been a regular here for over six years, especially since they are usually pretty good with reds. Twice they have done my hair and it was nothing like what I asked for. Once, I asked for brown and peekaboos and came out with hot pink hair. The second time, I decided to ask them to fix it-- they wanted to charge me an additional two hundred dollars! I used to have a regular stylist there for 8 years who was da bomb. Now that she's gone it's kind of hit or miss with the rest. Sometimes they do a great job and really put effort into it and others you feel like your on a conveyor belt and they're just going through the motions to get you in and out ASAP. Also the no appointments is a major drawback. If you're just getting a cut it's usually fine but I've been told repeatedly they couldn't get me in on the weekend if I wanted a color because they're "too booked up" so I couldn't make an appointment to get in ahead of time and when I call day of you're too busy, what am I supposed to do? Update: The last handful of times I've been there the service and quality of stylists has continued to decline. If looking for a trim they're a good price but anything more intricate I would go elsewhere. read more

We just had hair cut for two boys n myself at the Riverside location. They were accommodating and quick but tidy. We are happy to come back. They even had a play tv to keep kids busy. First timers get a gift from xmas tree. Location is super convenient. I have tried supercuts n other salons in past. But this one is better overall, with a superb price offer to match the service. I normally enjoy this facility, however I took my 3 year old in for a quick cut, mind you he's been getting his hair cut regularly since he was 6 months old. The stylist was very inpatient with him and wound up cutting him 3 times before we gave up on finishing cutting his hair. If your unable to cut children's hair I would have waited for the next stylist. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism. read more

It's my third time here in my first bed haircut so I'm giving it three stars out of generosity. I go here because I can afford it. Today I found out what cheap really means. The little girl talks so fast and didn't pay bit of attention. Then she wanted to argue with me. I asked her to make my hair even all the way around my head. When I left I was just so frustrated and it was sticking out all over the place. She wanted to take the trimmers to it and after what she had done on the sides and back, I was afraid to let her touch them. Maybe I'm a fool or maybe I'm broke but I will try that one more time and see if I can get somebody other than Lexa, Lexi, Lexus, or whatever. I've had to get haircuts in this place and I'm not willing to give up on the others. I realize people go there because it is a cheap salon and when you need to get your haircut you need to get it out of your way. Needless to say my little girl did not get a tip. Hairdresser Olivia is known to do hair outside of the salon, which is usually great for scheduling..... if she knows what she's doing. Which, unfortunately, she does not. I have personally watched her mess up brows, hair color, toner, and even cutting. I've watched two full colors she's done that were supposed to turn out purple or blue and came out grey and burned. I think she goes to work stoned, but who can say. The point is, I've never had good service from the girls at this place, but especially not Olivia. I wouldn't let her touch my hair if it was on fire. Uneven bangs, burnt hair, and shitty appearances are all you'll find here! read more

The back was supposed to be longer and then angle to the front. She just chopped off everything in the back. Did not know how to properly do a layered cut at all! This review is for the Brookside location. I had been going for awhile and was generally happy with the haircut received. One day, I went in and was told by Haley they were very busy and to come back in an hour. I live nearby so I did. When I returned, Haley noticed I was back but in no way acknowledged to me that she saw I was there. Nor did she indicate that she was still running behind. I sat there for 40 minutes wondering when I would finally get my hair cut (I would have left, but was waiting for a friend to drop off my daughter there after a playdate). After 40 minutes of waiting in person (after returning already from a hour wait at home), Haley came over and asked "Are you ready to get your haircut now?" as if she was the one waiting on me. I told her how rude she was to not inform me that she was running late and to not even acknowledge my existence. BTW, during the 40 minute wait, she told a new stylist "not to rush" on her customer because they were understaffed. It seemed she was trying to send a message to management or the owner about poor staffing. Haley repeatedly flounced the hair of her client as if to stretch things out while also sending clients that were walking in the door away due to being "so busy." She ended up giving me a free haircut but I was still upset about the poor treatment. (I'd rather be treated nicely and pay then to be ignored and get a free haircut.) By the time I left, no one was waiting for a haircut because Haley had sent everyone away. I didn't go back for at least 6 months despite my daughter's request to get her hair cut there because they have a treasure chest with toys for kids when they get their hair cut. When I went back, I had a different stylist. She kept looking at my ticket and then looking at me strangely. When a customer walked in, she headed over to wait on the new customer before returning to me. In that time, I was able to look at the ticket to find out why she kept looking at me strangely. Apparently Haley left a long note on my ticket indicating she only had me wait 25 minutes (presumably because they have a 30 minute call ahead wait time) when my actual total wait was 1 hour and 40 minutes. She said I was irate and she gave me a free hair cut. I am wondering if it is this business's policy to blame the customer and further humiliate them if they come back when the stylist is at fault? Doesn't seem like a good business strategy to me. This location is in Brookside on Peoria which has more than enough other hair salons. I won't be back to Tulsa Hair Company. read more

Had my hair cut 6 weeks ago and the girl did a horrible job Had to wait for my hair to grow out because the stylist cut it too short. Went back this time just to have my bangs cut, thought if I got a different stylist surely she could trim bangs. Not So!!! Told the girl wanted them trimmed just at the eye brows, but this untrained moron cut them at leasta 1/2 inch ABOVE the brow line!!!! And my daughters graduation is in 1 week!!
