After not hearing back from them for a week, I called them asking when they would get around to it (was told it was assigned to a tech but not gotten to yet) I could tell by their response they had to get onto tech to get to it. Then they called me the following Monday saying it was done. When I brought it home it was trashed, filled with dirt and the head was super dirty. Picture and audio were x10 worse. Came back in asking what they were willing to do to make it right, and they just kept saying bring it back. I dont trust them with my property again. But as for my experience trying to get my speaker repaired here, I definitely can NOT recommend anything gets repaired here. I dropped off my speaker on 9/30 and was told it would be 3-5 days to get a diagnosis and quote. This was the only time I received communication from them. After this, I waited until 10/8 (8 days) to call the store and was told the quoted repair and diagnosis. I was not given an estimated date of completion. I waited until 10/20 to call again and was not given any other update other than it would be done "soon" On 10/30 (a month after I dropped off) I went to the store to ask for an update in person. I was told a part was being ordered and to wait another week. After a week, I called the store again just to be told again they were still waiting on the part... On 11/7 I emailed the support email on their website to request some kind of details or an estimate for completion. Never received an answer. On 11/17 I finally went into the store and requested my speaker back unrepaired so I could deal with it elsewhere. Throughout this process, the front desk was always friendly, and they were polite when I requested my speaker back, so no complaints there. However, I am appalled by the lack of communication from this business. Except for the initial 3-5 day expectation for a quote, which wasn't actually met, as I had to call after 8 days, I was never kept informed. I recognize that I majored in communications, so maybe my standard for communication is higher than most. Still, despite that, Video Revolution is not a good place to get your tech repaired.

A few days later I started getting several responses. Only one said that he could fix it, and it was Damon. I contacted him and later that afternoon he said that he could come to my home and fix it. When he showed up he started working on it immediately. I stood there and watched him take the unit apart until he finally reached the display. He removed it and replaced it with a new one that I had recently purchased online. After he put it back together I plugged it in and tested it and it worked perfectly. Damon had accomplished what I could never have done. I paid his fee, but I owe him a debt of gratitude. Thank you so much, Damon. You are one of a kind.

There's nobody behind the Geek Squad counter. Meanwhile, how about 20 feet away from the counter or four or five geek squad members I'll stand around talking and chuckling to themselves. In front of me is a man who has been standing in a line for 10 minutes waiting on somebody to service him. After about five minutes, I just gave up and put my computer and power cord on the table and said to myself let them deal with this. It's very clear that the four geek squad members were aware that there were two people online and it was very clear. There's nobody behind the counter. How hard is it to communicate and say somebody will be with you right shortly or give us some heads up as to what is going on, and why there's nobody behind the counter. I walked out of the store with the older man in front of me still just patiently waiting on somebody to give him attention acknowledge his presence.

I told him that I had other errands to run so I would just drop them off now and come back and pick them up when they were done either repaired or replaced if they could not be repaired. He said I would have to come back this afternoon to sign the paperwork before they would look at them. I said I should be able to sign the paperwork now while I'm already there. He went to check with the guy working at Geek Squad and came back and said because that guy isn't trained to work on Apple projects I would have to come back this afternoon when someone was there who could and that is their policy. Either these two employees are incompetent or that is an asinine policy because it is not respectful of the time of your customers. I have dropped off other items for repair at Geek Squad before and Apple products should be no different. And you wonder why your business is declining.

The master of the house needed his toy fixed so I found a place in between where we were and where we needed to be via Google sesrch. There were two listings both closed but with the same phone number...we called. The guy is in a third location but available. He took a look, gave an estimate, order the part and in three days...the set was a factory reset. So far so good. His shop is in a shed behind his house. He prices are appropriately set for working out of your home. He is a pleasant, jolly type guy with a passion for writing.

This one was very quiet today, no background music, not a lot of noise at all other than the few speaking to each other from time to time. Staff was a plenty, didn't hear from any of them tho. Prices at Target tend to be a bit more than what you find at the competitive blue and gray discount store down the street. Tho Target does carry several items that the other chain doesn't. Going early on a Saturday morning was great as there were limited people in the store. The team was still stocking shelves and only the self check out was available. The layout is pretty similar to other locations so it is easy to find the things you need and things you don't need but get anyway.
