I took the lock apart, tried and failed to get the piece of key out I went to the location of Tumblers and was fortunate to find Erick in the office. He worked on my lock and then found to my chagrin that there wasn't any remaining part of the key in the lock. Boy did I feel silly. But Erick was so nice about it. He cleaned and lubricated the locking mechanism and gave me some tips. Erick is an independent contractor and has owned this local business for 11 years. He is knowledgeable and professional. Tuesday September 14, 2021 No, im very dissatisfied and disappointed in the treatment received from Representative Adam with Tumbler lock and key. They scheduled appointment effectively and arrived on time that was positive. We are new, here just purchased home and have been broken in on of which I explained. We purchased a brand new knob deadbolt set and could not drill holes. My Husband installed knobs upside down And did not use the new matching hardware. I wanted the new hardware installed on the door facing and door and the deadbolt holes drilled. Adam told me it didn't matter he'd been doing it 20 years and would do it his way or No way as he didn't want to take an hour to look at it." I explained it was simply 2 screws. He threw a fit and ran out into the yard yelling at me. The set was still in Home Depot packaging. (Knowing I was mostly blind recovering from eye surgery and kidney surgery and paralysis below right knee unable to walk outside he continued yelling from yard.) I asked if he would please use my New hardware to replace the old that was on door he spun his drill jumped in his vehicle and sped off. I have to use my words to ask about new hardware as I can not see it. Adam refused to wear mask stating he was Vaccinated, refused to allow me to spray or sanitize area coughed in my face and said, "see, I have COPD". I am currently recovering from kidney and eye surgery with cancer and immune system compromised. I had Already explained over the phone my situation and must protect myself in my own home. This offended him. He immediately became aggressive exclaiming everything would be his way or No way. I asked him to simply tell me if he could use the new hardware. I knew my husband left the old plates on but i couldn't see to be 100% sure. He refused to answer repeating, "it didn't matter." I said, " It matters to me and I can not see it to know would he just please help me and tell me as its only 2 screws". He ran out. He's extremely rude, unaccomadaing to a person with dissabilities and yelling at me from outside my property. Maybe he was having a bad day. But my request was simple. He is rude, loud, obnoxious and extremely unhelpful. I will never utilize Tumbler in the future or instruct others to do so. I'm in my 50's disabled and do not deserve this treatment over a simple question. I hope he has a better day and im sorry verbal questions hurt his feelings. Its my home and I want the new hardware installed as it is important to me. That should matter. Last night our worst fear happened! My fiancé was working nights and was exhausted after his long shift and left his work truck unlocked. Of course the one night he did it gets broken into. They stole a set of keys that had our house key on it along with other personal items. I was terrified of all the things that popped in my head and my daughter started sobbing in terror. Everything seemed normal on the phone. I told him I was looking for a key fob for my 2008 Jeep Grand. When I get outside he tells me that he doesn't have a key that will fit my Jeep. Huh? Why make the 25 minute drive over without checking to see if you have the proper equipment? Then after checking out my Jeep he tells me that I will need a regular fob instead of the one I currently had. The fob that I needed was $395, the key I was looking to replace was $160. So after I get this disappointing news he tells me that it will be $50 for the service trip plus $10 for the key he made. Keep in mind that I NEVER told him to make the key, especially since he told me that I needed a regular key fob. I wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE I called this guy because doing this type of bait-and-switch seems to be him MO. I didn't pay attention this time but I hope someone will read this and call another locksmith and not waste their time or money on this guy. Lesson learned on my part. I locked myself out of my car and called around to compare prices. I called this locksmith company and the man stated he would charge me $45 to open up my car, I only had $40 on me. He got to my apartment complex and opened up my car with a hanger. He then stated it would be $45, I told the guy i had $40 and he literally made me go to the nearest atm and charged me an extra $10 for having to do so. Not only did I have to pay $55 to open my car but the ATM machine charged me money as well. There was a Chase bank right down my street and the guy was not willing to drive there. I was swindled and taken advantage of. I called Tumblers at 9:00 Saturday night and I was told it would be $75 cash. so the guy arrives and says that now it's going to be an extra $28 for a new lock, because he was going to have to drill my lock out. Despite the fact that I was previously told $75 (and his competitors quoted me the same price) I told him to go ahead and get the job done. The $28 was for a new lock, which I agreed to. While he was working on the lock I went to the ATM down the street to get this guy some more money. When I came back he had replaced the whole doorknob with a cheap tacky one that did not match the set I already had on there. I immediately asked him to remove it, as I had not agreed on a new knob. He argued back and said it was too late becaues he had already put it on. I asked him why he didn't just replace the lock cylinder in my current handle and he said that he didn't have one available so he had to put on a new knob. Well, he did so without my permission and would not take it back. He then tried to insult my intelligence by saying "Hey you never know, maybe you'll need an extra door knob around the house someday".... Really? That's what you're going to say to try and validate stealing $28 from me? Give me a break. So I reluctantly paid Eric the $103, which was $28 more than I had originally been quoted and now I have a cheap doorknob and a nice doorhandle that only needed a new cyliner. I called the company back the next day to speak with a manager to get this sorted out, because I was definitely taken advantage of and wanted to get rid of this useless doorknob that I have no use for. I called back and the same guy answered. Apparently he is a one-man-show. Great... No accountability. I told him that I didn't want the knob, because we agreed on putting in a new lock. He basically said that it's too bad. I told him that he could have JUST as easily put on the only drilled out door handle on and I could have just used the deadbolt on my house to lock up, but he insisted that he thought the new doorknob was a better idea. Ofcourse he thought it was a better idea, because it made him more money... He refused to take back his POS doorknob and basically gave me a "screw you, too bad" answer. He then proceeded to lie to me further telling me that I'm lucky he even came out at such an hour. He said "You're lucky I came out there at midnight to do that job. Anyone else would have charged you $120 to do that job at midnight". To which I replied "What are you talking about? You came out at 9:30 and I called TWO other locksmiths who gave me the exact same quote?! I literally just picked you at random because you had a 5-star review (not for long)". "Oh, well, I know it was late and I don't know who you called". What, didn't like having someone calling your bluff? I'm no idiot, so don't treat me like I am. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY, NO MANAGER TO TALK TO AND YOU WILL GET SWINDLED. read more

DO NOT USE THEM. We called them to come out to change the locks on four doors going to the outside of the house. The guy asks me over the phone how many keys do I want. I tell him to give me two and I will make more copies myself later. He gives me a price of over $200 and tells me that he wants cash. He comes out and changes the locks and gives me the keys and says it's almost $500. When I remind him that he had told me just over $200, he says its because he didn't know how expensive my locks were. So, I pay the guy to just get him out of my home. By the following day, we realize that all four door handles that he took apart and put back together don't work. So, we call him and he says he will come out to look at them. Two days later he comes out and looks at them and he says that even though these locks are very expensive, they are made with cheap material inside and we need to order new door handles. When we asked him how could it be that all four doors that he worked on break at the same time, he just says that it's because their inside is cheap and they break all the time. He then charges us $75 for the call out and leaves. NEVER, EVER USE THESE GUYS. read more

This is the best service ever!! Had locked my keys out (while in a rental car) and out there on business. They showed up within 15 or 20 minutes; three times as fast as Hertz would have, per Hertz's own quote. They also were about half the price of Hertz. This company acts like a much bigger company, they take themselves seriously and perform the work with exactly what you expect them to do. They are fast and available at all hours. They fixed my problem quickly. I would recommend them to anyone, and i even took the time to read the reviews before me and must say that most seem just like mine good and fair. However you can't please everyone. I wont say I got the best price because i am sure i could have found some cheaper, but i would also have had to wait and then probably got the service cheap. Where Erick was knowledgeable and fast. I felt my money was well spent to protect my home. I recently received service from this company. The guy Eric came out and replaced knobs and rekeyed everything to one key. A few days later the key no longer worked. I called him and he comes to tell me that because it's a smart key that's going to happen. I mentioned to him, why did you not inform us before installing and he said I didn't think to mention it. He informed me it was going to cost $85 to have it fixed even though we already paid $300 prior to have the locks changed in the first place. I told him that I was not going to pay because I already paid for a job to be done and he failed to install it correctly the first time. He got upset, raised his voice and began comparing apples to oranges to make a long story short. After arguing with him for five minutes, I told him that I wasn't paying and was no longer going to be doing business and he replied good because I wouldn't want to do business with you either. What he doesn't know is that everything was recorded and will be documented as I take it one step further to small claims court. Do not hire this company for service.
