Look at the pictures. That's right, Tumbleweeds décor is red neck, goat roping, pickup truck and spurs. A great place to have a delicious meal before you go out two-stepping, boot-scooting, buckle-polishing the night away. It is also an excellent place to have lunch. The Akaushi beef in the half pound burger is phenomenal. Flavor unlike any burger you will ever have. Juicy, cooked over a flame to give it a slight char essence, but not hiding the taste of that remarkable beef. No "upscale options" like peanut butter, avocado, bacon jam or some "whatever" fusion. Push the lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion aside. The only condiments this burger needs is a little salt and pepper. Eat it with the bun though, so you won't look like an animal holding the big beef patty in your hand, while you eat it. My wife had a great Lunch sized chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and a side salad. Tender tasty beef, breaded just right and fried to an even golden brown. The potatoes and gravy were made from instant but tasty. Fresh greens in the small side salad, with a dressing of your choice. Great service! Absolutely, no complaints about anything.

Chicken fried chicken was good. Green beans had no flavor. Salad and toast were about the same that you'd get anywhere. Our waitress was very nice The hostess seemed annoyed that we didn't want to sit at the bar. Overall it was an enjoyable evening.

It's a cool, neat place with a bar area in the middle with seating around. We were quickly greeted and our server was prompt. He gave recommendations that definitely helped us on our decision. Wife had the meatloaf, very flavorful, hearty portion of meat served with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. Definitely a must try. I had the roast beef, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and fresh sautéed green beans. The roast beef was tender, flavorful and the meal was plenty for the price. Highly recommend this plate. We were seated upstairs and I really got the vibe that this restaurant could have been in Taos, Red River, or Crested Butte. It's vintage and retro but elevated a bit (if that makes sense). We ordered immediately and I asked about the Pesto Bowl (which was a special). Was told it used to be on the menu about 6 years ago and they were thinking about bringing it back. It was pesto, pasta and veggies but you could add a protein for no extra cost. I just went with the plain bowl (no protein). The Hubs ordered the Steak Dianne ("A throwback to the 1960s"). Thought that was a cool entree to feature. It came with charred (in a good way) Brussel sprouts and delicious mashed potatoes underneath the steak and mushrooms. My basil bowl was pretty good too. The pesto had a great flavor and the veggies were just cooked perfectly--still crisp and not mushy. Only negative was that there was a lot of liquid in the bottom of my bowl. Again, I would return here.

The tomato had an unmistakable home-grown flavor. If you know, you know. I asked. Sure enough, grown in her husband's garden. An excellent burger. We genuinely enjoy the food and atmosphere, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. She ordered a filet and shrimp. When the cook placed the steak on the grill, it had a distinctly rotten odor and appeared dark brown/purple. When it was put on her plate "cooked medium just as asked", both my wife and I found it smelled and tasted spoiled. The cook and our server handled the situation professionally and apologized. The manager, however, was rude and unprofessional. He came to the table questioning us as if we were imagining the problem, then used his fingers to pick up and taste the steak directly from my wife's plate after we had already tried it. He declared it "fine" and offered to cook another one. The replacement steak tasted strongly like liver. We left the original on the plate; our dog ended up with the second one. A couple next to us on the same grill who had also ordered steak commented that ours looked so different they couldn't tell that it was steak. We paid over $100 for three people and received no meaningful apology from management--only the implication that we were trying to get something for free. The cook and server were excellent; the meat quality and the manager's response were not. Mistakes happen. Arguing with customers over clearly spoiled food and handling it so unprofessionally does not. Unless we receive a formal apology from the manager, this restaurant has lost our business, our family's business, and any future recommendations I would have given to customers or visitors. We liked coming here. The manager's behavior is what ended that.

She ligit stared at me like i had just cussed her out and like she wanted to hurt me. It was the most rude and uncomfortable experience I think i have ever encountered. Im not sure what I did to upset her. I hadn't even talked to her before this interaction. She then ran to the back back and told her manager that I had asked for yumyum sauce I think because my friend (with a seprate to go order) then went up and asked for yumyum sauce and the woman manager said "we already gave you one" The only reason id keep going is because its the only decent sushi place in town. Service is usually terrible because its basically all children in high-school or just out of high school. Cheap labor does not equal good service.
