"Better than new"…read more I had a fantastic experience with Luggage & Leather Depot on the good ol' Hamden Road. I was dashing out to a meeting a week or so ago. Grabbed the trusty messenger bag con laptop, and bang! - strap broke, and everything spilled onto the floor. I collected everything, checked to see what had happened, and proceeded to be late to my meeting. When I arrived back home, the first thing I did was try to locate a leather repair shop, and the depot was at the top of the list, and less than a mile from me. I called, and the gent said that they would likely be able to fix it, so I took a walk over, and dropped off the bag. In less than 3 days, Mr. Kim called to inform me that he'd completed the repair. Again, I walked over to retrieve my Mark & Graham bag for a grand total of $38. Not only did I just save a few hundred dollars by not having to buy a new bag, but the repair was as advertised - "better than new" - with new leather, and an added metal bar for strength. I can't recommend this business highly enough. I'm looking forward to my next interaction - think I'll buy something new there next time. See you in town!

It was definitely in need of repair. Mr. Kim was able to get the repairs done in a little over a week and the repair work was so seamless that I could barely tell what had been fixed. The only telltale sign is that he added a new, stronger zipper to replace the broken one which actually made it much easier for me to open and close the interior compartment. The $45 I spent in repairs was a worthwhile investment to ensure I would have many more years of adventures to come with my fabulous ruby red suitcase!

If you have some of their pieces, this is an affordable option to increase your inventory. No military discounts are offered but they did have some in store promotions displayed throughout the store. The store was clean, well lighted and organized. Sometimes you can enter a store and if not organized, make you want to leave. Just me? Monogramming is available in store and can be done while you wait. If not, you can walk about and continue shopping and return to pick up your purchases. It seemed to be a 15 minute wait and there are a variety of fonts and colors to choose from, up to 3-4 letters on certain items. They even have fragrances! The samples on display have fragrance only or you can opt for a gift set. normally stores have gift sets around the holidays but things were well stocked. From wallets, umbrellas, luggage and purses, this location had quality selections. These items are at a higher price point but the warranty and level of service that go along with the Tumi name are top notch. I definitely plan to return and peruse their inventory. The transfer voucher had an incorrect pickup address on it that we didn't notice- or even know. After waiting for over an hour, we had to make other arrangements. To add to that disappointment, we were not reimbursed for that transfer that we didn't use because of the snafu. Not sure where the snafu happened but we certainly didn't do it and knew nothing about it. We were told PF would try to get a refund but since that was over 2 months ago, I guess they were unable to do it and of course did not contact us to let us know. On our first visit, as we were heading out, a staff member stopped us and acted like we were trying to steal a coach bag-- We walked in with our older Coach bags, and the same staff member who later accused us of stealing had actually seen us come in with them and even complimented them. When we simply asked if a bag we were interested in was available in the back preferably one wrapped up and untouched (the one on the floor was scratched up and creased), the associate a white lady we spoke to gave us attitude. Then at checkout, the cashier a tall black lady raised her voice at us just because we said no when she asked if anyone had helped us, and again when we declined to sign up for their program. Giving us attitude and talking to us like we were children telling us if anything breaks they won't do anything about it. Overall, the customer service here has been consistently rude and unprofessional. We love Coach products, but after two negative experiences, we definitely won't be returning to this location.

Well sadly with the bag I bought the hardware on the strap broke making the strap unusable. Well they have a one year warranty on their items. So I brought the bag back they were super helpful. Keep in mind sent up an account with them as I lost my receipt they were able to pull up the info from my purchase from my phone number. They offered me a full refund or said I could pick something else out. As luck would have it they had the same bag, same color so I just exchanged it. I was glad they stood behind their products and the staff was friendly and helpful.
