I'll give the crew that removed our old deck and built our new one 10 stars. They worked in quite hot and humid weather every day until the job was done and did a great job. We had a small maintenance issue with expansion of some trim and damage from our landscaper, both of which were addressed quickly. Now, 3 years later, I've contacted them twice via their website concerning another maintenance issue and, nothing. Not an email or a phone call to see what is going on. It's like we don't exist anymore. After spending a very large amount of money on that project, I would think, with a "lifetime warranty" they would take care of their customers. read more

We were supposed to have our tub converted to a shower. The installer arrived late. Cut a water line and spewed water from my second floor down to my kitchen. A chunk of my kitchen ceiling fell out. He also broke the shower pan which required waiting 3 weeks for a new one. The second installation date went no better. Two workers arrived late. Said they couldn't do the job and left. We are now going on four weeks with no shower. This company provides no customer service. No phone numbers are given out, and when you call customer service, no one returns your calls. This has turned into a nightmare. I am left with a completely demolished bathroom and very little hope of getting this resolved. Please avoid this company. They tore down my shower walls and then told me they could do the work because of mold, but the consultant already knew it was mowed and said they can mitigate the mold. We do not recommend this company. We just spent thousands on an inoperable walk in shower. We had a 7 week wait from signing contract to the date of installation (date change requested by tundraland). The shower is partially installed and not fully operational. By the time the installer left we had the following issues: 1. Rain showerhead that doesnt work 2. A hole in our ceiling 3. A gouge in our ceiling 4. A gouge in our door 5. A mess in the basement that wasnt cleaned 6. A missing built in seat which we knew about before installation. Not available until May. It has been one week since installation. We have yet to use the shower. We were assured by installer that Tundraland would contact us in 1-2 days to follow up on the problems. On the 3rd day with no contact we tried calling our salesperson Stephanie. Left her 3 messages, with no call back. We finally called the 800 # and got a call from Luke, a service manager. We worked with Luke and thought we had a resolution to move forward. Luke was going to call us back in 24/48 hours. NOPE! 72 hours later (3 business days) and we have not heard a peep from Tundraland about follow up appointments to our home. It has been 1 week since installation and here we sit growing more frustrated by the day. As an added bonus we had to cancel the contractors that were going to finish the bathroom remodel (flooring, vanity, paint and such) as the walk in shower project isnt yet done. Customer service is a joke. Tundraland doesnt care about any of their customers or their satisfaction. We have refused to pay our balance until all issues are resolved to our complete satisfaction. A fiasco from the beginning. The one day installation extended to 4 additional trips due to plumber and installer error. The error cost me nearly $4,000 out of pocket and just over 3 months of headaches trying to get reimbursed. No apologies for the damages Tundraland caused. The settlement agreement made it sound like it was my fault for turning on the faucet. The plumber/installer forgot to connect the set-screw so my basement was flooded. An expensive walk-in shower with incompetent installers. They don't even deserve one star for their mistakes and the way I was treated. read more

Purchased a shower remodel in March of 2024. Within a month after install we had them back to fix a cracked tile coverup (they cracked a floor tile and covered it with a piece of plastic). Then due to water leakage they came in and applied a sealant to the corners of the shower. This year, 2025, we noticed water leaking again. When they came to look at it they removed all the showerheads, said one was broken and had to be replaced, and they would contact us when ready to repair. Per our salesperson for this deal: "They explained that the walls weren't properly installed and caulking wasn't done properly which is causing water to seep behind the walls." It took 2 months (with no shower) to get the replacement panel and the guy doing the repair said he didn't know about the broken shower head but would get that handled. Now it's been two weeks and no one at Tundraland is returning my calls. They still need to replace the showerhead, reinstall floor moulding, they dented the floor base to the shower (repair or replace?) and one of the metal corner strips was scraped causing it to be very sharp. So my thought is that based on the extremely high cost, this is THE WORST home improvement company! read more

A "designer" from Tundraland came to our home to write up a free estimate for a walk in shower. He seemed to be very knowledgeable regarding options available from his company. Then the sales pressure started. I informed him that we had what we needed for now and would not be making a decision for a few weeks. We had other projects we wanted to assign importance to based on the estimate we received from him. He wouldn't back off. I repeated several times that we were not ready to sign anything. He began lowering the price. He ended up at approximately $14,000 after giving us the original estimate of $21,000. Nothing strange there? We still said no at this time. He actually became angry and verbally abusive, claiming we fraudulently dragged him to our home. I had to stand up from the table that we were at and open the door. When I asked him for a written estimate, he crumpled his worksheet and threw it in the trash. When I asked him if this was a normal method of sales presentation for Tundraland, he said yes; due to the fact he was commissioned and couldn't;'t afford more than one trip. I also asked him what would have happened if I had told the scheduler that we definitely would not be buying today. He stated that the schedulers would not have told him because they didn't care about wasting his time on a call. read more

I was told a new shower would take one day. Arriving at 8:00 and leaving unfinished at 9:30 at night is not one day. Install of cheap, "upgraded" plumbing was done wrong and two pieces were bent. Another connection was broke when it was screwed into the wall and sprayed water out of the connection. Called customer service, but no one called back. Unbelievable. A crew to me is more than one guy that showed up and put a hole in my living room and scratched up my bathroom door. Tried to fix it with a marker and made it worse. Anderson Window supervisor gets caught ripping a customer off and destroying their home and in his own words million other customers by removing jack studs so they can install a stock door instead of the custom doors their customers really ordered. This company says they have removed millions of jack studs which is the very support that holds up the header above doors and windows. My 86yo parents waited 2 months after they ripped out the original tub because they are not professional enough to catch basic things that may hinder install! I had the walk in shower installed and after the install noticed I lost almost 3" of width in the shower. I am a bigger guy so this is not acceptable even my wife said it was too narrow for her also. There was 2 other problems the seat pooled water and the handle on shower door had scratch. They sent out someone with new handle but didn't fix other problems. They sent some one out to fix width and seat only fixed seat. All this is after numerous calls where they say they will get back to me and never do,I have to call them to find out what's going on. Called TL to get a quote on a CERAMIC TILE shower. After making an appointment and having them come out after a couple weeks, turns out they don't even do ceramic tile AT ALL! Tried to sell me a sheet vinyl shower which they claim looks "just like" ceramic tile. Asked why they came out to quote something they don't even do. No anser. Obviously they hoped to maneuver me into something I didn't want and the appointment setter is paid based on number of appointments. Not impressed. Went with an independent GC instead. Well my husband was bent on having our shower remodeled. I wasn't ready to have this done since I had had a total knee operation 2 months before and didn't want to spend a lot of time upstairs monitoring work. Our bedroom is on the way to the bathroom. Valuables in the bedroom had to be secured. My husband put them in drawers on the way to the bathroom an hour before our salesman came. We went up with him to review the shower and he came down and did paperwork. He mentioned he needed to check something out a second time upstairs. This time we let him go upstairs alone. Bad mistake. He took valuables out of 4 drawers. We noticed them gone an hour after he left. I was upset and wanted to file a report but my husband talked me out of it for the moment. My wife and I recently had a walkin shower installed by a young man named Ethan and he did a remarkable job. He stayed with us for fourteen hours to make sure the shower was completed and that we were satisfied. OK...here's an INSIDER'S viewpoint. These guys sell other people's products, and their business "model" is to make a sale on the first call. If they don't close at least 2/3 of their calls the first month they start, they get fired! You have to memorize a "canned" sales pitch, and repeat it and repeat it. They actually have "boot camps" on how to close, and the Trainor brags about the longest time he ever spent in a home, in order to get the deal. AND Kyle their trainer doesn't like to be challenged about his "tactics", DISGUSTING BUNCH for sure. The Sales Manager goes to meetings and uses every profanity you can think of, in order to inspire his team. Just received an estimate today from Tundraland for a 170 sq ft ground level deck. I couldn't believe the estimate - $35,000. SERIOUSLY!!!! This was by no means a complicated deck, 5 corners and a single step from 3 angles. WTF - kind of hourly rate are they charging? Even if the materials were 5K (most expensive TREX + substructure), that's 30K in labor/profit. Considering that this is a one day job, according to their site - they make $30,000 in one day to build a small deck?????? STILL IN SHOCK........ My parents and I contacted Tundraland for a "FREE PRICING", to have our old wooden/single panel windows replaced. After taking measurements and going through some demonstrations, the salesman quote us a price. My parents and I were still discussing it, when the salesman asked how we wanted to make the down payment. I was taken aback because I thought it was supposed to be a FREE PRICING of how much it would cost us to go with Tundraland. Why was he pressuring us to make a decision on the spot?! I told him that they wanted to think about it more before making a decision because we have other contractors coming by to give us FREE estimates and we wanted to see what other options are available too. The salesman got very defensive, sarcastic, and rude after that, quoting his exact words, "if you're going to go with that brand, you might as well keep your old windows". Both my parents and I was really upset at his tone/attitude and we were completely turned off by it. I repeated to him many times that they wanted time to think it over, since it's a big investment. He kept going on with his rude behavior, so I called him out on it and he changed his tone a bit after that. I have already spoken with a Tundraland representative regarding this but I needed to let everyone know that no salesman should pressure or treat customers like that! Salesman had nothing but a laptop and nothing on his laptop to show materials, lay-outs, etc. Fiddled around on laptop and came up with a cost of $17,000 for a shower alone! My shower install is still not done after 4 weeks of having my bathroom torn apart. The measuring was done wrong by Tundraland, and after the installer tore out the old shower, he found the new shower pan was measured and ordered wrong. The indicated because I signed up for a sweepstakes they are able to call me even though we are on the no call list. Okay so Tundraland reported my prior review and had it removed since I wrote about the horrifying experience my father had (he does not have a computer, in his late 70s and asked me to write it). So, I am writing a new review based on my OWN customer experience. My fiance and I purchased a home in early 2016 and had loads of improvements to complete from bathroom renovating to new windows. We bumped into several of the Tundraland sales consultants at our local Walmart, and by bump I mean they BADGERED you every time you walk by, so finally, my fiance surrenders and says "sure I'll spin your wheel of deals". He won some weird hocus pocus deal and all he needed to do was complete a contact information form to receive this deal. BIG MISTAKE. Their marketing technique is that of a highschool bully. He received multiple phone calls and emails, and after researching customer feedback, he requested that they did not contact him further since he did not wish to use their services. A few weeks later he was still receiving calls about a sales rep appointment to set up to do an estimate and draft up a contract. WE SAID NO THANKS. He switched cell phone carriers at the end of the month due to a contract ending, and changed his number with it. Update now that window installation is completed. It took them 2 whole months to finally get around to installing our bathroom window. I am left with a mediocre taste in my mouth. Not only did we have to be extremely proactive with scheduling this by calling numerous times the product was not as described. At no point in the buying or scheduling process were we told this window would be smaller than the current window and would be nestled inside the frame of the old window. My husband is not happy with the final product because now he has to do more work replacing all of the trim. The salesman told us we would not have any problems with these windows, but we have problems locking ever one of them.
