Poor management leads to poor service. I was invited to drop off my car on a Friday morning with the promise that it could be fixed the same day. The issue was straightforward and resolvable in a single day. After eleven days of vague and questionable excuses, I finally got my car back. I don't know if Tune Tech's policy is to "just get them in" and then manage as best they can, but it would explain the overpromising and underdelivering I experienced. I hope their scheduling and policies don't reflect their technical abilities. I hope they fixed my car correctly. I wish I didn't have that doubt. Time will tell. Had my 2003 Chevy towed to tune tech on division in Spokane paid with a loan from the credit union for 1257 dollars they gave me my truck I drove it one time had to tow it back to the garage for 168 dollars they gave it to me a second time I drove it to Safeway 3 miles away it died so they towed it back then called and said another 1764 dollars and they would put in a new fuel pump on top of the 1257 dollars do not use this company now I have to have it towed back to Ford WA because instead of diagnosing it when it was towed in it was given back and still doesn't work. Not to mention when I took it in no problems when I got it back the drivers side was scraped and now it's fucked up really thinking of talking with an attorney now living on SSDI I get to wait till the third of June to tow it back home so I can have transportation and fix it and I'm out 1257 dollars I need a full refund period read more

Finding yourself in a position to have to have your car towed to a repair shop is a scary predicament to be in. You are at the mercy of the shop's honesty and integrity. I found myself in this position back in 2018 and then again last week. I can honestly say that Tune Tech will take care of you and your family if you find yourself in this situation. I took my truck in to have the rear brakes looked at and it turned out I needed new drums splinters and shoes so I decided to get it fixed I worked with Dennis the owner and it ended up costing me 1100 dollars to make a long story short I knew my front brakes needed to be replaced so I took it to golden rule brakes and they were Awsome they replaced the front brakes and said the rear brakes weren't adjusted properly at all and they checked my brake fluid and was in need of replacing why didn't tune touch ever do the job right I don't know but I have lost faith in tune tech and I don't think I will ever go back read more

I have been looking for a good mechanic for a couple of years and finally found it in Tune Tech! I have brought both of my vehicles here and at the staff remembers me and my cars every time. Whenever I have called to schedule and oil change or anything else and they always have availability at least within the week and they go the extra mile and fix little things (like replace the lightbulbs around the license plate.) They take the time to check out the vehicle and let you know of any upcoming maintenance that will be needed but they aren't pushy about doing any of it that day. The best thing about this place, is that as a female, I often find mechanics and male service people to be incredibly patronizing. Not the case here. They are respectful and don't assume that I am ignorant of how a car works or what any of the parts are. They talk to me like an intelligent human being and explain things when I ask but they don't assume that I'm an idiot. They never try to rope me into up-charges just for the sake of making more money off of me like other oil change companies that will not be named. All in all, I highly recommend Tune Tech! read more

Avoid at all costs! Unless you want your car problems and bill to double stay away!! I first took my Mazda Tribute to Tune Tech to fix an oil leak that ended up being in the timing plate cover. They did a repair and after a few days I got the car back. I had a rental car during the first repair as the Tribute is my only vehicle. My partner and I both felt that the car had a weird sound in the idle when we received it back. The shop had us bring it back in, looked at it and insisted that there was nothing wrong. With the car back again we noticed that it would come near stalling often and even did a couple times at stop lights. We brought this up to the shop and they had us bring it in again. Tune Tech assured us that they would not leave us stranded. We still took buses to and from the shop when taking the car in (even after their 'fix'). They drove it for about an hour revving the RPMs to try to burn off carbon in the engine. They assured us that it was ok and there was nothing wrong. The very next day I was driving home from work and there were more weird noises under the hood. Service engine soon and battery lights turned on. Power steering went out. I was able to get off of 90 and onto a side road where the car died. I opened the hood and noticed that the serpentine belt was missing, it also seemed that the tensioner was missing on the engine. These were things that the shop had "fixed" in the original repair. I walked home, called the shop and was able, after a fight, to have them tow it to their shop a couple days later. I rented another rental car under the impression that the shop was going to cover the costs during the time they were fixing an issue with their repair. They did not charge us for the repair and acknowledged that they were at fault for their original repair breaking. When we asked them to reimburse our rental car they told us that that was not something that they were going to be able to do. What's worse is the engine was still leaking oil in the area of their repair and the idle is still not running quite right. I ended up taking the car to another shop since I was so fed up. This shop found multiple issues with the repair work completed by Tune Tech, including missing bolts on the timing plate cover. I spent over $2000 with Tune Tech and about the same on rental cars from their negligence and received nothing but headaches and shoddy work in return. DO NOT GO TO TUNE TECH read more

After being rear ended I stopped in here for an estimate to replace my broken tail light. I was happy to get my car in asap but not so happy when Paul showed me more damage than just the light. He said I would need to take it to a body shop to fix the rest of the damage. There are no issues with the service that day (4/22/15) but when I went to the body shop it was pointed out that my trunk lining was ripped. It wasn't in that condition when I brought it into tune tech and the technician and it was recommended that I go back to tune tech to have them fix their mistake. It was a simple error. Rather than unscrew the lining he just ripped it to see behind it. Lazy sums it up perfectly. That same day I dropped off an estimate for the needed repairs to Paul. Still waiting to hear back from him and I'm honestly a little worried he will half ass it again.. read more

I am fortunate that I have a good auto sound company because thanks to Aspen Sound, I found I needed to visit my auto repair shop Tune Tech. This issue is not even on the list they developed for my guidance in getting the Honda back in shape. No, the electrical system decided to get into the act. The stereo was cutting off and coming back on. I put up with it for a while, but I finally got nutty enough to find out what was going on with the system. The answer was too much voltage was being put out, but it wasn't the stereo breaking down. I brought the car in at 10 this morning, told them I had an appointment (he says good!). By 12 noon I heard from them and they filled me in on a lot more-I had a dying battery that was slowly affecting the alternator ( the source of the over voltage) but with battery not getting charged it was going to create more problems for me. So they told me what was going to happen and it would not be until Monday before I got the car back. Shipping parts in is creating problems for everyone these days. So I said go ahead and save me some bucks if you can! So I get a vacation from rolling around and the car (hopefully) will soon be popping the right voltage out when I pick it up. Let's just say it's a problem caught just in time but it's in the right hands! I am wondering how much work I can get done around home while I am without wheels! We're gonna find out! The first visit to change some tires went fine, but then I took my vehicle in for an overhaul of the front end, and not only did they not fix the issues (some of which I'm convinced they caused), but the vehicle came out driving worse. So I brought it back in and they performed some fixes and, thankfully, it drove better. But then I sold the car, and the person who bought it, and who knows far more about these things than I do, told me to never go back to that place again, as I was charged for a steering damper that they never replaced. I've gone to all three Tune Tech locations and I've left quicker, felt hustled less and was very well taken care of at the Division one. The last visit I had totally changed my view in not only their customer service but in human trust. I recently had an attempted fraudulent transaction on my debit card, which I had to cancel and go into my credit union to replace and had yet to do. I forgot I had a cancelled card hence the decline as I paid for my oil change at Tune Tech. I freaked but the gentleman assured me I can return tomorrow to pay! Who does that? Someone trusts someone else enough to allow them a whole 24 hours for payment? I thought that was pretty cool but I'm easily impressed at notable gestures as this. Called first to get quote for timing belt replacement - quoted price of $470 for labor (provided my own parts). Job was completed and when I picked up car the total price ended up being about $630 (which included a charge of about $40 for shop/waste). No explanation for large difference between quote and actual price and no prior approval sought for the higher price. Work was done satisfactorily - car runs fine. Shop rate of $145 per hour is high to begin with and then to have extra shop charges added seems excessive. read more

I've never been there before and will not patronize this business ever again.. My car was towed there from an oil change business near my home that had diagnosed an oil leak not associated with they're work and tried to repair, but actually caused damage. ( will revue them separate) When contacted by Alex at Tune Tech I had mentioned I didn't believe the diagnosis and for them to identify the "actual" problem which he agreed to do. ;Turns out he didn't actually do which caused a huge up charge in materials (oil,filter,labor) that wasn't needed to find the issue. He then contacted me later to say they had found the real problem, but only after repairing the original issue of damage by the oil change company which never needed repair in the first place and what the charges were roughly going to be. I was a little taken a back by the potential cost of the repair and then did some easy-quick research into the issue and found it was a common problem with my brand of vehicle. I then did the pricing across the board and city and found repair and parts costs from independent and the factory (Toyota) so I'd know what to expect? Wow! Was I shocked to find a bill double the cost of the most expensive place in the city (Toyota) for the repairs!?! Upon arrival to pick up my car, I asked why the parts costs were so high? he then explained "we buy our parts from a wholesaler" which meant??? He then said they only marked up the parts 20% which obviously didn't track at all, but then just quietly and quickly changed subjects. Needless to say, these guys completely ripped me off by hundreds compared to a dealership visit.????
