In early 2025,…read moremy 2014 Ram 2500 Powerwagon had a bad tick and it turned out to be a bad lifter that wore the camshaft... long story short, I needed a new 6.4l hemi for my truck. I got quotes for it from about 11 different mechanics. I went with 5 MILE AUTO CENTER because of the communication and the transparency of what was included and how much each item would cost. The work was done in the promised timeframe and they kept me informed on the progress and answered questions every time I had them. Then when I came in after done work and made my final payment I was informed that not everything they quoted was needed and they were able to do the work for less than what they thought and agreed on. THEY WERE TOTALLY HONEST AND ACTUALLY CHARGED ME OVER $500.- LESS !!!! I could not believe it! I have not met anyone like that!! Then later on after about 2 weeks, the fan was still much louder than I was used to (turned out my old fan clutch was actually broken and that is why it was so quiet) he replaced it and put in a new one, all under warranty, did not charge me a dime! In addition they topped off my transmission fluid which was low, for no charge at all. My experience with 5 MILE AUTOMOTIVE CENTER could not have been more pleasant! A huge shout out to the 5 MAC and everyone who works there, I d recommend them for any work you need done on your car! Ok, so choosing stars is subjective, so here are the objective facts that led me to going with one…read morestar: -Condescending customer service: I won't recount the entire interaction, but here's a part of it... "What kind of oil do you want?" (I'm taken aback because in my 40+ years of car ownership I have never been asked that question in such an opened way) "Aaaa...well...do you mean the brand or the weight?" "Both." (Again, with no qualifiers.) "I suppose whatever weight the manufacturer recommends." "5w-30." "Okay, let's go with that." "What kind do you want?" "I don't know my options." (Rattles them off). "Conventional, I have a Groupon for conventional." "There will be some additional charges, like for extra oil. That car takes a lot of extra oil. About $15 more." (So, $25 Groupon + $15 extra, so it will be a $40 oil change any way) "Fine, go ahead." As you would expect at a Jiffy Lube they bring both the engine & cabin air filters to me and offer to change them...for $60 more). I pass, along with all the other maintenance suggestions offered. Fast Forward to time the time to pay. That $15 extra somehow became $23 extra, meaning my "discounted", conventional oil change was $48. That's not all. They did convince me the filters needed changed, so I went to the parts store to buy them (at a fraction of the cost). I then noticed one of the black glove box retaining clips sitting on the passenger side seat. Later, when I went to replace the engine filter I noticed they didn't even bother to tighten one of them. (Both pictured). Perhaps 1 Star is harsh, but the above are the facts. Judge for yourself. All I know is I will not be back.

They determined it was the transmission after initially being told nothing was wrong because no lights were on. I had the transmission replaced after three months of it being in the shop to pick it up with the exact same problem. John stated he could not figure out the issue and would have a specialist take a look. Told us once again it was fixed and ready to go. We picked it up a third time same problem. After four months we find another place to take it in. Upon pick up the car was smoking so bad we could hardly see around us, the car had trouble starting and felt like it would shut off at any moment. I explained to John I had a newborn and what was I supposed to do. He response was "not my fault they sent us a bad part". It was the EXACT same problem since day one now with much more problems and he was blaming the new parts. Worst professionalism I've ever come across. Just kept going back to blaming the new parts. If I could give them less stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Take money from people to do more damage.
