Kashockie is the only stylist my boy trusts, and she makes him looks so sharp every time. Pricing is reasonable and in line with other kid's salons (though I must note, they cut ALL hair from teen to adult, men, women, curly, etc). My son really looks forward to his visits to KnK - the space is quaint but mighty, with TVs at each station and awesome toy car seats or normal salon chairs. Kashockie is both fast and skilled... cutting a wiggly kid's hair is not for the weak. She always listens to what I want and delivers the best cuts. After our session, my boy gets to pick a couple snacks and/or prizes and a freshly inflated balloon - more than most kid salons offer. If your little one needs a chop, there's no better spot than KnK Salon - located inside of Salons by JC. WARNING -- DO NOT GO HERE I am devastated by the way my hair…read moreand scalp were handled at this salon. After a simple root touch-up, the stylist applied strong bleach to my dry, previously lightened ends and left it on far too long. My scalp burned and smoked -- I have photos and video -- and by the time it was rinsed, I had lost a significant amount of hair. I am not exaggerating: I lost about half of my hair that day. My scalp now has painful sores. When I began crying from the pain and shock, the stylist showed no sympathy. The owner eventually washed my hair because of the scene I was making, but the person who applied the bleach appeared unconcerned the entire time. Other local stylists who have seen my hair were shocked at the level of lift used and how long it was left on. I have cosmetology training (Paul Mitchell), so I know this was over-processing and should have been addressed immediately. This was not a simple accident -- the damage could have been prevented if proper technique and care had been used. I have the stylist's license number, photos, and video evidence. I am pursuing legal action and will be reporting this incident to the state cosmetology board. I will also be sharing my experience publicly so others can make an informed decision. Please do not trust this salon with chemical services. I am traumatized by what happened and hope my review prevents someone else from going through the same experience.
