I really like this location. Nina, JT, Meredith and the whole crew are just great. Every time I go it is like being around friends. Nina pays attention to detail and does a great job with everything. These con artist charged me $64 for a skin fade!!!!! 64$ wtf. I can get it done at joes barber shop a Tomball barber icon for $20, the other barber down the street for $18 and it's the best skin fade you'll ever get. I don't know how in the hell they think they can get repeat business charging $64 for a fade. I'll never go back ever. My mustache took two years to grow out even a little (it grows very slowly) and in the matter of 2 seconds she shaved the middle off of both sides of my mustache. 3 weeks ago I got my haircut at the Tomball location. I knew from the moment I sat down things were not going to be right. Decided to let the bad haircut grow out a little, don't want to be scalped. I was allowed entry into the salon before they opened on 01/03/21 at 10:20 am. Talked to a young lady about my problem, she said someone could be there at 10:45 to fix things. She also called a supervisor to let them know of the problem. The supervisor was nice for a minute, then she told me to leave the shop, which I did. All they want is money! No chance of anything being done, not sure I would take my dog to be groomed at this location . Will not step foot in this location again. Bad customer service. read more

I frequent this location weekly. Dollar for dollar the value is excellent. The staff is always friendly. This is a place where everybody knows your name. You are part of the family. Now, as far as stylists go, I would highly recommend JT. He's one of the best stylists I have ever had. He tells you what you need and does not try to over sell. He is creative and will give you alternatives to change your look if you so desire. His abilities are far superior than those of a standard barbershops or haircut places. Again, hats off to JT. I've been going to this location for a while now, so I feel good about my review. This place started out great, but in the last couple years has gone downhill. They can't keep stylists around at all, and there is hardly anyone there. Last time I went there was a guy who cut my hair and his clippers kept ripping my hair out, and it didn't look good at all. If you must go here ask for Courtney, she's good. Also Kaycee the bar girl is very nice, but other than those two this place isn't worth your time/money. My fiancé had an appointment for 5 pm today that he booked yesterday. He got there 20 mins before hand to get checked in. They told him that they don't have an appointment for him and then the male that works there decided to argue with him then sits him down to cut his hair. Hair cut only lasted less than 10 minutes when usually it takes at least 20 minutes. My fiancé's haircut is simple! 1 on the sides and finger length at the top. The top is no where near even, it looks like a 5 year old trimmed his hair with Fiskar Scissors. There's no even spots on the top of his hair, and one section didn't even get cut! One word. HORRIBLE!!! I took my 15 year old son to get a cut on Sunday before school started. She hacked his hair leaving gouges to his scalp! He told me she said several times "oh shit" under her breath so she knew she wasn't doing the right thing. He was very angry. And he missed half of the first day of school so we could take him to Sports Clips to get it fixed because he would go to school. And I don't blame him I was so sad for him! So first off I really wanted to like this place as they talked me into a VIP membership. For what you were offered in the package it seemed like a great deal. Well just because they say they can do things does not mean they can do it. The first time I was going to use it, I went in wanting a cut, manicure and pedicure. After 4 hours of a bad haircut, and the stylist not even remotely having a clue of how to perform a manicure and pedicure I escaped the place. I went straight home to clip my own nails and fix my haircut. Lesson learned. Don't get the VIP gentlemen it is not worth it. They should have staff that does hair and staff that does nail work be it hands or feet. Oh and my "own" bottle of liquor that you can only have two drinks out of each visit. Visited here for the first time yesterday. Holiday weekend and was taken back for a haircut and mani-pedi immediately after being provided with a complimentary cocktail. Nice relaxing time in a friendly and fun environment. If you read the bad reviews about the wait, I get it. Waiting sucks. Think about it though. These folks take their time with each customer and provide a quality service in a land where the wham, bam, thanks dude haircuts have become the norm for us guys. DO NOT LET APRIL TOUCH YOUR BEARD!!!!!!!! She cut the mustache by my lip down to the bare skin. After I told her she was not allowed to touch the rest of my beard she still told me I owe $25 for her shaving my head. Hell I would've done it myself if I knew that was $25 as it takes no skill and 3 min. But, whatever. Patty saved the beard from clown-mode to ridiculous only. My husband has been a VIP member for almost a year now. Throughout the whole time of his membership they have not been able to keep consistent barbers! They also never put his name on the wall of bottles. He mostly goes on Sunday, they do not have experienced people working hardly ever. He found one person that was decent that worked on Sundays, Tatian was his preferred person. She was good and Courtney with a C was also good. The other people they had in was not! Today was his last straw. We waited for 45 minutes to get a very inexperienced person, Kourtney with a K. She greeted him by asking if he still wanted a flat top cut and that she doesn't know how to do it. He explained his hair cut which is fairly easy a 1 on the sides and finger length on the top. Kourtney seriously messed up his hair. She had no idea what she was doing. We had to go to another location to have his hair fixed. My husband cancelled his membership. My husband and two boys (14 and 10) went to get hair cuts on Monday (day before school). We were told a 20 min wait (my husband but them down for Karina). My oldest and I ran to Academy to get a back pack and were back in less than 20 mins. My husband and son were still waiting. The front desk girl was friendly and kept asking if we needed anything. We waited for over and hour then two hours (we only stayed because we were afraid that all places would be packed). The front desk girl wouldn't acknowledge that we had been waiting for that long only asking if we needed more drinks. When my husband finally said anyone could cut their hair my youngest was called. The lady cutting his hair was frazzled, confused and seemed spacey. She made a comment to me that the hair cut my husband suggested couldn't be done without cutting all his hair off. I told her to just blend it as I was walking away I noticed her talking to the stylist in the chair next to her asking how to do something. My husband told the lady at front that she needed to stop cutting my child's hair. She had no clue what she was doing. The lady told him that she was new and probably wouldn't make it. We had someone else finish his hair and it looked terrible. My husband and oldest were able to get haircuts with no issues. They ended up not charging us for my youngest haircut but the bill was still outrageous for two haircuts!!! I will not be back. read more

Horrible experience. I used to come here all the time until they couldn't keep a barber. I decided to give them a second chance. I called in 5 min before they opened. I told them I would be there 5-8 min. She told me I was longed in and first in line. I got there at 10:01. She put someone in front of me. I waited an extra 20 min. No biggie, I decided to wait. Francisco the barber butchered my beard trim. It was so uneven. It was so horrible I went elsewhere to get someone else to fix it. So when did the " Tune Up", the " Manly Salon" become a day care center? Unsupervised kids running all over the place. I had one kid standing right next to me while I was getting shaved. And here's a tip. For those barbers who smoke, please wash your hands and take a breath mint before you cut somebody's hair or trim somebody's beard. Francisco smelled horrible. Just left this place 5 minutes ago with no haircut for my 7 year old son. Walked in the door, one person with a "tune-up" shirt (assuming this in an employee) at the computer, they said nothing to us. I signed in using the computer and my son said he had to use the restroom, so we walked to the back of the store next to the "bathroom" sign. Door was locked, we knocked, no answer, a person with a tune up shirt (assuming it is an employee) working in the back room looked at us and said nothing. I walked back through the store again and went to a neighboring business to let my son use the restroom. Both times walking past two employees sitting with two customers that were in the back of the store where they apparently do shaves/massages/etc. they were just sitting and talking and again said nothing to my son and I. Came back in, again no one said anything to us. We started to play shuffleboard and two other employees joined another employee looking at the front register computer (10 feet from us). We stood there for 5 minutes with no one saying anything to us so we walked out the door and went to a competitor. My son asked me why we were leaving and I told him "because no one would talk to us." What a joke. read more
