No food. Bert small and not very clean. There is a popcorn machine that I would not recommend eating out of since I don't think it's been cleaned in at least a year. One seat toilet for each gender. First timer! Strolled in looking for some place to watch the basketball game and this was the 1st place we stumbled on and truthfully, had so much fun we stayed for the whole evening. I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Tuners bar that I simply cannot overlook. When I visited the bar last night our visit turned sour due to the shockingly poor service we received. Upon arriving, we took a look at the menu and noticed a $4 pickle shot that caught our interest. We approached the bar and ordered the shot. To our surprise, the bartender not only refused to serve it to us but also did so in the most impolite and disrespectful manner possible. As we handed over the money, the bartender literally slammed it down on the counter away from where I was sitting and bluntly told us that we wouldn't be getting the shot. I thought it was a joke at first until he gave me the bill with only one drink. When asked for a reason, the response was nothing short of rude and uncalled for. There was no explanation provided, just a dismissive "no I don't want to make it" that left us taken aback and bewildered. It's one thing to have a policy or reason for not serving a particular drink, but the way this situation was handled was completely unprofessional. A simple explanation or an alternative suggestion would have sufficed, but the bartender's attitude made it abundantly clear that our presence was not valued or respected. Customer service is a fundamental aspect of any business, especially in the hospitality industry. Tuners bar not only failed to uphold even the most basic standards of courtesy and professionalism but also left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. A simple shot might not seem like a big deal, but it's the attitude and behavior of the staff that truly define an establishment. I cannot recommend Tuners bar based on this experience. It's disheartening to see such a lack of respect for customers, and I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these issues and takes steps to improve their service quality. Until then, I'll be sure to steer clear of this establishment and encourage others to do the same. Me and my wife just loved going here on Friday and Saturday nights for live bands and lots and lots of dancing with great people. My memories of this bar, just make me cry with how much fun me and my wife had going here. She had been dead 9 years now. But my memories of going to Tuners are so strong in my mind. I would give no stars if available. This place is absolutely ratcheted. There was a random drunk guy outside bewildering us with questions and said he was the bouncer yet I called up there and they said they had no bouncer. So Tuner's is just letting random drunk people harass potential customers from outside because the bar tender didn't even bat an eye to the guy or rude customer that asked for my fiancés Id. Actually she seemed quite amused. As soon as my fiancé open the bar door, the cunt behind the bar literally just shoo-ed us away followed up with rude and disrespectful comments. Clearly coked out. One of the people inside even had the audacity to ask my fiancé for his government identification. He told her no and I told him to get out of there from the front door because at that point there was no way we were going to spend his 21st birthday there. DO NOT GO TO TUNERS IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. WILL DEFINITELY BE HARASSED. THEY APPARENTLY DONT LIKE MONEY BECAUSE WE WERE GOING TO PARTY AND TIP. definitely the worse bar experience we've ever had. Shout out to mill stream. Tuesday nights at Tuners. When you go to a small closed-campus university like Wash U, you get so wrapped up in your own little world that it's seldom you have friends outside of school. We built community here. The bartenders, the DJs, the other patrons - karaoke nights were the best! I miss little dive bars like that are still so friggin cool for something like karaoke night. December 6, 2014 We follow a couple bands around the St. Charles area and Bonedaddy was playing Tuners. We hadn't been to Tuners in a long while and we were in the mood for some Bonedaddy. Make no mistake, Tuners is NOT a food destination even the free popcorn is not good. But don't come here for the food because there really is none. The beer selection is very strong and the beer is cold. The wait staff knows their business. The clientele are middle-aged folks looking to enjoy a night out without enduring headbanging music. You will feel welcome here by the staff and the clientele. The venue is comfortable, cozy and the acoustics are ideal. The band plays their guts out without blowing you out the door. Music volume is ideal. My date and I did not try the restrooms so I can not comment on that. Tuners is a dive-bar so dive in. read more

Walked in the early afternoon with a small group looking for a random bar to get out of the sun. Our bar keep was a man in his late 50's or early 60's with brilliantly funny stories. The drinks were prompt, the floors were clean, and the atmosphere was excellent. If you are touring the historical district, this place is well worth the visit! read more

My wife and I walked in and took two seats at the bar. Bar not very busy. We waited and waited to be served. The man next to my wife said to her, "Hope you're not thirsty!" Finally I said "Hey can we get a drink?" The one bartender looked startled and said "Oh sure". We were in the area for our anniversary, ballgame, and sightseeing. We stayed at the gambling casino and we don't gamble. Our last night and wanted just to relax at a local bar. My wife knew they had live music with was right up our alley and they do karaoke unfortunately that's on Tuesday. But the atmosphere was our style and we go places similar when we are away from home. After we got our first drink that bartender was better. The other bartender wouldn't even look at us. We felt we were on private property and was not welcomed. Never a hi, where your from, nothing. We did stay over an hour and left a $5.00 tip. The band was good. I guess I would go back I just hope they don't think all tourists are bad. read more

The owner here was incredibly disrespectful and downright RUDE to us. We were a small group of people, most of us in our 40's, who were not intoxicated nor were we out of control in any way. My friend's son made the simple mistake of pouring popcorn oil (which was left out next to the seasoned salt), thinking it was hot sauce, over his popcorn. The owner came over and called him a "dumbass" for putting the oil on top of his popcorn. When his mother and I went to address such rudeness to the owner, he would not even hear our concerns, but instead he told us to leave and he used his fat stomach to make physical contact with us and push us out of the bar. Ewww...disgusting! No restaurant/bar owner the slightest bit of intelligence should be allowed to treat patrons like this! We will never return here and we hope others will also not support such low class behavior from an owner of such a dive establishment. read more
