We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary tonight, and choosing Napoli 3 at the Streets of St. Charles turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made for a special occasion. I booked a 6:15 PM reservation through OpenTable, something I highly recommend because this place fills up quickly, especially on weekends. We arrived a few minutes early at 6:08 PM, and our server, Maddie, greeted us right at the front with a warm smile and seated us immediately. Her friendliness set the tone for the entire evening. The moment we stepped inside, the ambiance struck us. Napoli 3 has such a romantic, intimate atmosphere, dim lighting, elegant décor, and a cozy layout that makes it perfect for anniversaries, date nights, or any celebration where you want the night to feel special. It truly felt like the ideal setting for marking 18 years together. To our surprise and delight, the staff brought out complimentary sparkling white wine to toast our anniversary. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel celebrated. They also served their hot bread, which was decent, warm and soft, but not quite as memorable as the bread service at some other restaurants. Still, it was a nice start. For drinks, I ordered a Sauvignon Cabernet to pair with my 16 oz ribeye steak, while my wife chose the Chicken Piccata. We also decided to share the Fried Calamari as our appetizer. The calamari arrived piping hot, clearly fresh out of the pan, and perfectly crispy. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful, and the spicy aioli added a great kick. It was one of the better calamari plates we've had in a while. Then came the entrées, and this is where the night went from great to unforgettable. My ribeye steak might just be my new favorite in St. Louis. Cooked to a perfect medium, it was juicy, tender, and seasoned beautifully. I've always considered Annie Gunn's the gold standard for steak in the area, but honestly, Napoli 3 may have surpassed it for me. The peppercorn sauce I ordered on the side was outstanding, creamy, peppery, and the perfect complement to the steak. My wife's Chicken Piccata was equally impressive. The sauce was bright, buttery, and full of flavor, with just the right balance of lemon and capers. The sides, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and truffle fries, were all excellent and paired wonderfully with both dishes. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and well-executed. From start to finish, the entire evening felt special. The service, the atmosphere, the food, and the little anniversary touches all came together to create a perfect night for us. After 18 years of marriage, it's moments like these that feel extra meaningful, and Napoli 3 delivered in every way. My husband and I visited Napoli III for Valentine's Day, probably wouldn't do that again...We've been there once before, and I'll be honest, our first experience was much better than this one...the vibe and ambience was high, energetic and busy. My husband ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, off menu item...and it was extremely spicy, Not flavorful spicy... just overpowering. He couldn't even finish it. I ordered the raw half oysters and the angel hair pasta with mushroom sauce. It was okay, but it definitely lacked seasoning and didn't quite hit the mark. I was also disappointed in the table setup. It felt very small and cramped for a Valentine's dinner. However, I will say the manager did step in and try to accommodate us by moving us to a bigger table, which we appreciated. We waited about an hour for our food, which we expected since it was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was busy. The staff did make genuine efforts to reconcile the issues we experienced, and that did not go unnoticed. Overall, this visit just didn't match our first experience. The BF and I stopped in for drinks ONLY. So my review is solely based off of their cocktails. He showed me pics of their cocktails and the S'more Martini peaked my interest. We went after work and grabbed the last 2 seats at the end of the bar as you walk in. The bar is huge. The restaurant is lively and sexy, very busy, chill atmosphere where you can either dress up or dress down. The lighting is low and noise level is loud. The staff is really nice and our server/bartender was AMAZING!!! I ordered the S'more Martini which is made with Marshmallow vodka, Godiva chocolate liquor, Kahula and a graham cracker rim. I absolutely LOVED this martini!!! The best way to describe it is to say it's an elevated chocolate martini that takes you to the moon. The top layer is the charred marshmallow which is heavenly and the martini itself is so creamy and smooth. The glass is oversized, so one drink is more than enough. The flavor profile is layered and taste exactly like s'mores in a glass. He began with the Maple Bacon. It's made with High West Rye, Maple Syrup, Smoked bittered Bitters, Muddled orange and cherries and Candied bacon-very booze forward. He liked it. To finish the night, he ordered a dirty martini which is served with their homemade blue cheese stuffed green olives. I'm not a dirty martini fan but I know the BF is, so I encouraged him to try it. He loved it!!! For me the star of that cocktail was the homemade blue cheese stuffed olives. OMGGGGGG when I say we should have ordered an extra side of them, we should have ordered an extra side of those bad boys. So plump and delicious, filling, could be a great appetizer. I will begin with the positive aspects. The service was excellent! The ambiance/feel of the place is nice. I dislike leaving negative reviews but, the food was not good at all to us. I ordered chicken piccata and did not enjoy it at all. The chicken looked as if it was boiled. It tasted as it was boiled. It was covered in mushroom that had the texture and look of canned mushroom. The piccata had an overwhelming mushroom smell. I do not believe in sending food back or throwing it away but I was very close to doing one of those things this time. The meal was just overall flavorless I will say the broccoli was good. My wife ordered the shrimp and lobster scampi. The dish looked beautiful but she said it was flavorless and did not finish it. So, I used to be an avid customer of Cafe Napoli in Clayton, but this was my first time ordering from Napoli 3. So I guess I kind of special order my salmon Caesar salad from there, I usually get a Cajun/blackened salmon, cooked medium rare, and it's phenomenal. I asked for the same thing here, but they overcooked the salmon...it was well done, hence the reason I subtracted a star. But I also got the tuna with fried rice, which was a little overpriced for what I got, in my honest opinion, but it was tasty...a little too much siracha, just a tad bit too much, but other than that, pretty good. So brought my Daddy here for lunch today. We follow great wedge salads. This one was good. We had three courses . Nothing was as delicious as I remember . Oysters on the half shell and oyster Al Forno were not as tasty as I remember . Don't know if it's because it's May or daytime . We also ordered the shrimp and lobster scampi pasta. I'm back at my favorite restuarant in St. Charles County. We had a reservation for 6 on Christmas Evening. Two of my neighbors chose to join us and when we showed up with the addition of two. It was not a problem. Napoli took care of us with ease!! We went to the bar to start the night off right. The bartenders are excellent and very willing to explain their drinks to be sure that you get one that is right for you. We were quickly served and Adil was our waiter. He was very interactive, smiling and laughing with us thoughout the night. We started off with the seafood platter and the calamari. The oysters, shimp, crab and calamari were all excellent!! We then found out that they had a more limited menu for Christmas evening. So instead of ordering my favorite pasta of Rigatoni Carbonara. I ended up choosing the 8 once filit. I went with the bolognese because the most of the other pasta dishes on the menu at the moment had an ingredient that I wasn't jazzed about as an ingredient for pasta (smoked salmon, beef cheek, kalamata olives, arugula). I wish their tortellini was available on the dinner menu but it's a lunch item only. The bolognese was very good and a big enough portion to reheat for leftovers the next day. On 4/17/26 I ordered food from this restaurant via Grubhub. This was my first home delivery order from your establishment. The in-restaurant dining experience typically offers exceptional cuisine. I've never had an issue with taste, quality or portion size. While I anticipated variations in temperature and presentation compared to dining in, I did not expect a decline in portion size and overall quality. My lasagna was small and edges black/burned to were it was crusty and you can taste the burn. I subsequently addressed these concerns with the store manager in person a few days later. His response involved attributing fault to the delivery driver and exhibiting a dismissive demeanor. I clarified that the driver was not responsible for the meal preparation, thus placing accountability with the restaurant. They always pack everything up so nicely with cellophane wrapping the container to prevent spills and smells from escaping. Also comes in a nice reusable bag. The Napoli salad is my favorite. While visiting friends that live in St Charles, we went to Napoli for a birthday dinner. We started with cocktails and calamari as an appetizer. The level of mixology from their bartender definitely left a lot to be desired. My friend liked her espresso martini, but the other 3 of us didn't care for our drinks. I had the cucumber delight, but the elderflower liquor was over powering. When we informed the waiter that we didn't care for the drinks, he had a really bad attitude and said he had never had anyone send a drink back and he was so surprised. Personally, I think he should not make such comments, and then continue on with a few more passive aggressive comments. The worst part was that he was training a new server, and that is not a good habit to pass on! The calamari was delicious, as was the Parmesan fries and aioli dipping sauce. I loved my pork chop dish, and everyone else loved their choices as well. The seafood pasta was delicious, as was the spicy farfulla that my wife got. She checked on us frequently and managed the arrival of our drinks, salads and entrees perfectly. N3 had a lamb special on the menu, basically three lamb chops prepared Sicilian-Style with a side of potatoes. I thought the lamb was absolutlely delicious and went so well with the side of potatoes. I tasted my wife's Veal Chop that she had prepared Saltimbocca-style and it was fabulous as well. Atmosphere in the restaurant was just right and we had wonderful conversations easily with our dining guests.
