I recently bought a 03 Evo 8 and I am newish to all this only only understand some concepts of parts etc. Alfred and the receptionist were extremely nice and unbelievably patient with me and I can't say how nice that is seeing as though the car scene and some great shops can be a bit narcissistic, BUT this shop was EXTREMELY nice and informative with the things I should look out for and take care of in my car and went above and beyond making sure everything is good to go before beginning the tune. Making 360hp on 91 and 425hp on E85 and I could not be happier. If you don't want to be talked to like you're dumb and you want to actually have a conversation where you walked away LEARNING SOMETHING I've seen Alfred actually do so unlike some other shops I talked to about tuning my car and what I would need to achieve said numbers I wanted. I was more then happy with my visit here and I would follow all recommendations because after you want the car to LAST and you want QUALITY PARTS if you want to achieve that. I came here about a year ago or so to have my GR STI tuned. The shop was recommended to me by several people. I gave them a call and Jen made me feel very welcomed. She scheduled an appointment to talk to Alfred about what I wanted to do. Alfred took the time to go over the mods I wanted to install on the car and gave me some suggestions and pointed me in the right direction. I scheduled an appointment for a few weeks later. He sent me a tune based on the mods I installed so I could safely drive the car over to the shop. I installed a Blouch 1.5 XTR, TMIC, E85 sensor and supporting mods. Alfred spend his time looking over the car in the morning to make sure the car was ready. He spent the full day tuning for 91 and E85 and went past closing hours to make sure the car ran perfectly and healthy. Car made great power and I could not be happier. 1 year later and the car is running like a champ. I would highly recommend TT to anyone looking to get their car tuned by people that know what they are doing and do not cut corners. read more

Thank you Alfred and Jenn for providing such an amazing service to my EVO. I finally get to enjoy the full potential of it! In beside the mechanical work that they had done to the car, Alfred's tuning is top notch, I was a bit fear that the engine will feel peaky after the tune, in contrast, the engine ran so smooth from low RPM all the way to the redline. Also, the throttle response is improved after the mechanical work and tuning. It is well fit to my definition of street legal race car. For the past two weeks, driving this vehicle become something that I looked forward to at the weekend. The only complain I have now is the car a bit too fast for what I used to. I will need to tell myself "hold my horses" and not drive too fast!! read more

Honestly, if you want a professionally honest and exceptionally Knowledgeable shop this is the place. I took my Evo in here bone stock back in 2017. Many issues and almost gave up on my car heartbroken. Trusted Alfred the owner, which takes the time to ask questions and find out what your goal for your project is. I never looked back. Honest and knowledgable! I had my dual map tune, transmission, differential, and clutch all done here. 0 issues since. Car is still running like a champ. 2019 and keeping up on the maintenance has been easy with them. Anytime I call in for a suggestion or technical assistance they are flawless in over the phone vehicle knowledge. I recently visited the Mitsubishi dealership to do my safety recalls and they didn't put everything back as it was orginally setup. Some bulbs were forgotten to be plugged in... one of them was for the dual map signal. They changed my pump back to 91 since the disconnected my battery, but since the mapping bulb was not put back, I couldn't see my pump indicator come back on to know the mapping setting. Alfred over the phone questioning figured it out and walked me through the switch back with no indicator available. I was so relieved si de they already wanted to take the vehicle back into the service department for further diagnosis. Glad I didnt. Tuning Tech always take the time out of their busy day to to make sure they give good attention to detail to returning and future customers. Won't regret it. read more

I just placed a call to this shop because I am looking for a shop that can install a Newrockies Pro Module for my Pontiac. The official website for Newrockies Pro system lists Tuning as an installer and they are close to my home, so I figured I would give them a try first since they have decent reviews. The young lady that answered sounded spacey when she asked me to hold. No greeting stating what business I was calling. When she came back on a few seconds later, I asked her about the install of the system, she immediately said, "no, we don't do that." Now, I know from working in a service and repair industry that if a repair facility is on an official site as an authorized installer, the facility is there because management requested to be put on as an authorized installer. This young lady says no, we can't do that and I ask if she is SURE because the site lists the shop as an authorized installer. "Um, what's the name of the company?" I repeat the company name again. Newrockies. She sounds like she typed something in and then said, "no, it must be old or put there by accident." She didn't ask how to spell Newrockies or confirm, but judging by her lack of customer service, I'd say she spelled it wrong in whatever system she was looking in. I don't have time for blatant laziness so rather than push and demand a supervisor, I tell her thanks for the help (she didn't give) and hang up. Perhaps the shop doesn't do the installs anymore and that is fine, but the conversation I just had leaves much to be desired. If the service is anything like I got on the phone, I am happy to spend my money elsewhere. read more

I took my car to Tuning Technologies for a dealer recall on my 2008 Evo X pulleys and the serpentine belt. I could've got my labor done for free at the Mitsubishi dealership and wait hours for them to finish my car but I decided to pay Tune Technologies $160 for labor because I know they have the best customer service in the business. Let me tell you there waiting room is the best! they have a xbox 360 with about 10 games to choose from Netflix and free wifi. I was getting hungry and Jen actually drove to IN and OUT to pick me up some food. Jen and Alfred make you feel like your part of their family seriously. Those one star ratings disappoint me, be interested to hear what exactly happened from both parties. Sounds like they just didn't try to steal those people's money but, whatever. Anyway they have always been willing to do whatever for me car (will custom tune the vehicle for your purpose of street, time attack, road course etc) and have even told me not to get some parts that other shops suggest you have and give the reasoning for not wasting your money. I have been here twice for my vehicle. First time I needed a tune since I live pretty far from LA and was only in the area for the day. They were able to get me in same day and car was performing great but wasn't making the power it should have due to the mods I had. Returned a couple months later after I replaced a couple things and got a few parts installed. It was tuned and I came out with an entire different car. Performs great and is making the power that was expected. read more

Alfred always takes his time to discuss your goals and thoroughly explain what he is doing, as he goes, to help you achieve those goals. He's straight up in telling you what he can and can't do. Afterwards you get a complete review of the work done and what he was able to achieve. They dont just work on Evos and Subarus with FI either. I have a NA Altima V6 with a lot of bolt-ons I was having a lot of issues with and Alfred completely remapped the ECU to eliminate those issues. Its never run better. took my sons 2015 Subaru STI there and I am very disappointed, First they told me the car would be done by 3pm after they would start on it at 11am when they told me to specifically get down there at 9am sharp. Gave them all the mod sheet filled out and I guess the owners Jen started asking me questions without even introducing herself to me. I own and operate my own shop and was amzed by how rude she was. when I told her I already spoke to Al she got all upset and said "I was just asking" slam the door... I had a bad vibe but I said still let me give them a chance. Well at 3:30 I called thinking it would be done, Jen told me he's still working on it and it should be done in an hour. I told her I'm on the way there is a lot of traffic so I could make it before it was too late. Just before I pull up I get a call saying its done, I pull up and the car looks like its been sitting I feel the engine and its barely warm indicated that its probably been done for a while. Jen is trying to hype my kid up by giving him stickers lol, then she starts putting on his car (first of all, no one asked her to, second we don't put stickers on our car) especially from companies that screw your car up. After being belittled into conversation several times by Al explaining to us about engine fueling and basic stuff (keep in mind I've been in business for over 16 years and in the industry for 22) I didn't want to hear it and told him I was in a hurry, so he cut me off and kept talking to my son. He then explains to me that he launched my car several times, we didn't ask him to launch the car but I guess he did anyway. We we take the car we noticed its very flat on acceleration and when we got to the tire shop we noticed the boost control solenoid was disconnected? I was extremely upset at the time. Too many games played at this dyno shop we have spent approximately $40k on this vehicle on top of the purchase price of the car so money was no problem, their attitude and professionalism is probably the worse I've seen. since then we had heard from another Subaru shop they screwed up 4 of their cars and are not going back. we since taken our car to another dyno shop that we are not mentioning and had it dynoed with better results and the boost control solenoid was conected and the car has better results. We specifically dynoed it again before modifying the engine just to see the difference between them and Tuning Technologies and we were amazing at the 29 more hp and 19 ft lbs of torque the car made (yeah you can say dynos are all different but performance times don't lie) I got the feel that if you own a Subaru they don't know what they are doing, more and more after talking to other customers I think they are a Mitsubishi specialist. Too bad I wasted money on them tuning the car but I leaned something very valuable to not go there again. I'm really disappointed I got referred to them by someone who didn't use them prior to us going there, the irony of it was they took 4 race cars and learned the same lesson. read more

Wow!!!! I'll start by saying Thank you Alfred and Jen... Tuning Technologies definitely know how to take care of there customers that's for sure. Awesome facility very clean and comfortable. Brought my EVO 9 here several times and every time I left there with a huge smile on my face. They definitely know what they are doing when it comes to Tuning and Wrenching. I've been tuned by Alfred about 4 times and each time made more SAFE power then I expected. Best Tuner in IE and best Pricing as well. Alfred puts the time into each car to make sure it is done rite! I'm pretty much maxed out on injectors and turbo (FIC 1650 & FP BLACK) rite now but when the time comes for the desire to make more then 630WHP I will no doubt be back at Tuning Technologies for more POWAH!! I wanted to write another review just showing how great this shop is. Im on my 4th EVO I currently own 2 Evo 9s one stock and one built so I know a little bit but sometimes I get stuck and need a Pro expertise. I stop by without an appointment Alfred was booked for the whole day but he still gave me a minute of his time he could of just told me to come back another day because he was busy but he took a look at my EVO found out it was something simple he fixed it without charging me.
