We were quoted nearly DOUBLE what Velasco quoted us. Chris came out within 24 hours, walked the property with us and was able to provide a clear plan of action. He showed up on time and his crew of guys had nearly one acre of land looking nice again within two days! The oak tree was cut down and the stump ground down for safety, the chicken coop was weeded and all debris removed, and they even planted grass seed for us on our upper lawn that had been damaged by gopher holes. Chris is friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to reach out again a few weeks later just to make sure the grass was growing in. Jose and Jorge came at 9am as what I've been told and worked on the trees, Leo went in to check with them after an hour which I like because it shows that he values his customer and making sure that the work is being done. The guys are very respectful of the property, they're polite and they went above and beyond what's needed to be done. They left my property clean. I signed a contract where he gave me verbal estimate of how much it would cost. He was supposed to do both the front and the backyard. His guys did a great job on the backyard, but they never got to the front. When I asked Tommy about it, he said that the contract I signed was actually an estimate. Nowhere in the contract do I see the word estimate. It is an invoice. He told me he would have to charge me more to finish the front yard because he claimed that the price could change. He came back and finished part of the front yard, but charged me $150 for it. I am now taking him to Small claims court. I am hiring someone to finish the front yard, and then I will sue him in court for the amount that I pay the new gardener.
