To start, the four of us decided to share the honey goat cheese spread and confit pork belly (of which, I somehow neglected to take pictures for some reason...). Both were spectacular. My Sazerac was perfectly made, and my wife really enjoyed her watermelon sugar cocktail, which she specifically noted as not being too sweet. I'm not big on presentation because I'm a pretty simple guy. But when our entrees arrived I couldn't wait to dig in. Everything looked absolutely delicious. My wife chose the braised beef short ribs, our friends chose the filet mignon and the blackened gulf fish, and I opted for the grilled red fish. I only had a small bite of my wife's short ribs but it melted in my mouth. And my grilled red fish paired with the basil pesto pearl pasta was phenomenal.
