Very good Italian restaurant that is unfortunately in a dying plaza. Because of this, I feel like it was less busy than what it should be, especially on a Saturday night . It makes the ambiance hard to enjoy when you're the only ones in a restaurant, but I will say there were a lot of takeout orders being picked up. The food was delicious though, very affordable, and everything freshly prepared by what looks to be one chef; which he definitely knows what he is doing. I ordered a breaded filet mignon and while it didn't taste like filet, it was very good and flavored nicely. Tiramisu was delicious but I think every restaurant should skip the cheap Hershey's chocolate sauce drizzle and do nothing instead of that option. Best thing in my opinion was the fresh Italian bread and the kids Mac and cheese! Overall, I would come back but more for like a casual dinner instead of a celebratory occasion. My family and I walked in and the gentleman acted kinda snooty. Set us and I get it's Florida but it was windy and cold outside and they had that place super cold like I was shivering waiting for my order. Our server came over and was nice but had no personality was not mean or rude just very monotone. Eleven of us had a Christmas family "reunion" here and a large table was set up in a separate room. The decorations, the ambience and the aroma were definitely Italian. The menu featured a variety of dishes, moderately priced and nearly everyone ordered something different. When trying an Italian restaurant, my first choice is "spaghetti and meatballs" because if they can't get that to taste right for me, then I'm not coming back. We tried mozzarella sticks and other appetizers while waiting for our main meals. This is definitely not a "fast food" place and the time spent renewing family stories and updates was precious as my anticipation and hunger grew. The dish was marvelous! Not one; not two; but THREE beautiful meatballs adorned a rich, savory red sauce atop the spaghetti. The bread, butter and olive oil I saved til the dish arrived quickly disappeared and I ordered more sauce. The meatballs were large, firm and exploded with flavor. No leftovers. The service was attentive and, of course, we "left the gun and took the cannoli" home with us! We'll be back!!! read more

We keep giving this place chance after chance. As I sit here watching over my very ill husband after he ate muscles there, barfing his entire contents out, we are officially done. No more chances. A very expensive meal just went down the toilet. The staff are not very friendly either. If you ask for more bread or extra balsamic glaze it's like you are asking for the holy grail. I tried this for the first time yesterday and it was excellent l. We ordered four meals to go. I had the Romeo and Juliet it was devine. I asked for a garlic aioli sauce and they were very accommodating. We also ordered chicken piccata, chicken Parmesan and shrimp scampi all of which were raved about. What a charming place in the middle of a strip mall. Decor and music is Italian and the chef and servers spoke the language. Servers were attentive and personable. Bread was brought to our table after our beverages and it was warm, crusty on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. It was served with butter and olive oil and it was very good. We started with an appetizer of fried calamari. It was lightly breaded and served with a delicious marinara sauce for dipping. I am very fussy about red sauce and this was delicious. Entrees included the beef scaloppine Parmesan and the Cafe land & sea pasta. The beef scaloppine was just the right thickness and oh so tender. The spaghetti served on the side had the same sauce from the calamari so he was delighted. My pasta was cooked perfectly with lots of sausage, chicken and 4 big shrimp on top. The sauce is a light mix of butter, lemon, and herbs. I appreciated that the sauce wasn't overpowering and I was able to enjoy the flavor is the dish. We opted out of dessert as we were full from our meals. We will visit again as there were several dishes on the menu that sounded appetizing and looked great when served to other patrons. read more

We absolutely loved the ambience! Our server Edson was fantastic. They have Peroni which was a special treat! We ordered Black Mussels Sambuca as an appetizer. The white wine and garlic sauce were the perfect ingredients that made it delicious. For our main entrees we tried the Beef Scallopini Florentine and the Beef Scallopini Piccata. We really weren't impressed with those dishes. It was supposed to be with Filet Mignon but it seemed more like a country fried steak. We definitely won't order those again. The dishes come with pasta or vegetables. The vegetables were really good. For dessert we had the Tuxedo Brownie Mousse and it was to die for! First time going and we walked in they sat us down, then another family walked in they sat them down and started serving them, no one even came by to say hi or tell us that they will be right with us. It was maybe fifteen mins (I know not a lot of time, but not the point) we felt totally ignored and when we called the busboy over (which was the one that sat us down, he just pointed to the waiter and I told him we were here first and he was like oh well. I never had lasagna in a dish with globs of cheese. I didn't like it. His chicken piccata was not very tasty. He's judging it on my cooking too, I doubt get it again either. Salad was good and mussels good but small amounts. Dessert was good, but fancy and small. Sorry only three stars. We probably won't go back or cook better at home. We have been here a few times know. This place has one of the best land and sea pasta. It is 100% Italian and you must come and try it out. Another one of my favorites is the spaghetti and meatballs absolutely delicious. All I can say is if you like Italian food you will absolutely love this place. Super and I mean super rude waiter. I dropped in for a carry out order and was met with attitude immediately after hearing I wasn't dining in. Shooed to the back to wait for my order. While waiting I got a slap on the wrist for standing by the counter. Ok so where do I sit? He just points to some table and says just sit there. Not that big of a deal. I left and found out that the order was wrong so we'll have to turn around and get the other half. But as soon as I called and told him who I was, the phone started "breaking up on his end" and he tells me to try to call back. Which the next two tries it randomly 4 times until I got sent to a voicemail that wasn't set up yet. How convenient. The worst experience by far in the Riverview Brandon area. I dub this place the absolute worse place when it comes to customer service in all the Brandon/Riverview area. read more

This place is great! Been coming here for a year and it never disappoints. Favorites are the Baked Ziti; their Italian Sausage doesn't overwhelm you with too much fennel. It is perfect. The Eggplant Parmigiana is exceptional, too good to explain with words. Small place, super service. The best New York Italian restaurants have nothing on Italian Kitchen except much higher prices.
