This place consistently delivers. The make it or break it is your sever because the food is delicious every single time. I typically will do chicken adana because i just love how tender and flavorful everything is. Im not even a fan of hummus but i eat it when i come here. Ive had better baklava but this is a good contender. The place is small and effective. I have been here several times and every single time is different but ive got to say the service totally varies by server. I don't think that's necessarily bad there are just some individuals that you will have to remind multiple times. I was a server so I probably have more empathy. My family and I absolutely had a Devine experience here. My father has lived in Turkey before, I have never been. But he told me after our fabulous meal that this place serves the best and most authentically inspired Mediterranean cuisine. We had an absolute ball, drinking tea, eating appetizers, shazaming the music, and enjoying the sports on the tvs. It was too windy to eat outside but the warmness from the staff and the love that showed through those dishes more than made up for our missing of the outside dining scenery. In Tampa for a week and we came back here THREE times! I like to try new places every meal on short trips but this place was too good not to come back! Our waitress was Sila who was incredible! Dined here yesterday with some of my closest friends. The staff were sweet and cordial. Our server Rania was amazing and helped us with our orders. We ordered the oven baked hummus and lavash bread, and it was a uniquely delish dish. It was warm and flavorful with a nice twist to classic hummus. As a group we also ordered the chef's special which had something for everyone. The meat is extremely tender and the the rice is well seasoned. The lavash bread its cooked in is very crispy. It's also served with a side salad and tzatiki. By the end of the meal we were all stuffed with a ton of leftovers. Bayshore Mediterranean Grill is a take out family favorite around here and we have yet to dine in so this review is only for my several take out experiences. Ordering online or over the phone is very easy and our order has always been correct. My absolute favorite entree is the Chicken Kofte, but we have nearly tried most of the menu by now. The sides that come with the entrees complement them so well. I love coming here to switch it up every now and then plus the food is always so fresh. You should definitely make a reservation if you're planning prime dinner hours. We had to wait a good 30 minutes or so. For food we got the chicken Shish platter, $20 which comes with a small salad rice and grains. We also got the Muhammara dip for $9. The portion on this was a little small and it was more of a chunky consistency, I prefer the creamer kind. And of course you HAVE to get lavish bread, $5. I'm all about the bread! Service was fast, and we sat outside on a cool night. Just know you might have to wait a little if you come during the rush, otherwise we enjoyed it. read more

Bayshore Mediterranean is easily the best mediterranean restaurant in Tampa. It is hidden away and South Tampa and such a gem. Every food item we have gotten has been nothing short of amazing. We especially love their babaganush and and oven baked hummus. The oven baked hummus is amazing- warm, cheesy and served with lavash bread which is fresh and unreal! We have tried a little bit of everything with the chef's special meat wise and you cannot go wrong- perfectly spiced, cooked, and tender. I've been going to Bayshore grill for almost 10 years now and have always left a 5 star. But 2 days ago i met the "owner/manager" at a cigar lounge and i raved at how it's so great. How i go to this place over bosphorous and that i'll be there this weekend again. But after my last interaction with the owner/manager in the restaurant, i will never be coming back. We reserved a table for 7:45. We called at 7:40 and said "hey it's raining, we'll wait in the car until a table is open for us that's not in the rain." and they confirmed it. We see a table cleared and not in the rain...so we go inside. We waited in the car for 20min to give them time to clear a table for us. And they tell us that we cannot sit there and it's reserved for another group. Mind you. Our reservation is for 7:45pm and we're there exactly at that time. That that should be OUR table. Instead, the guy tells me to sit in the small tables that are in the RAIN. Even the larger tables to the left are being wet. Or i can sit in the waiting area table next to the bathroom and soda machine. Furthermore, i asked him to kindly just look at the table we want outside that's open and see how the other ones are so wet. He rolls his eyes and goes back to his computer. He could've said sorry we'll have another table outside ready in 30-40min. He could've at least looked at the table we wanted. Or he could've also just gave me the table i asked for or didn't have his staff tell me misleading information. Instead...he decided to be rude. Frankly shocked at this level of terrible service. Especially after i told him in person how we've been going there for almost a decade and how i tell everyone it's great. No longer will I be doing either. Pull up a chair folks this is gonna be a long review. If I could only eat one place in Tampa for the rest of my life it would be here. I have been here over a dozen times. I have tried various things on the menu and it is hands-down, my favorite Mediterranean food probably ever. It is my first experience with Turkish specific dining. I'm gonna try and go over all the menu items I've had They have the best baba ganoush I've ever had and my family is Middle Eastern. Hummus is delicious, I was skeptical about the baked hummus but it's actually incredible. GET THE LAVASH BREAD. No matter what. Their bulgur is amazing. I've had every salad they're all incredible. If it's your first time there, I recommend getting their mix grill platter because you can try all the different meats. Personally the chicken shish and kofte are my favorites but the Adana and everything is good, I've never had anything I don't like there. The Turkish coffee is actually authentic. All of their dips are magical. I haven't tried any of their different style dinners because I love their grilled meat so much but I will definitely try it eventually. We're regulars here. Come about once monthly for the past 7 years. We love the consistency of their amazing quality and flavors. We have our favorites and come just for that. My wife comes for and loves the liver cubes. Weird, I know. I go back for the Iskander. And we always take home their awesome baklava. I drove 35 minutes to get to this restaurant and it was phenomenal! The restaurant was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The service was fantastic! Our server was so sweet, personable and attentive. Her name was Rania. We ordered the sauced eggplant with hot oven fresh lavash bread. It was to die for. I really wanted to like this place, I love Turkish food so much. But I didn't love it, sadly. First off, it was dirty. Like sticky floor, don't use the bathroom, don't touch the table tops dirty. Less than stellar cleanliness isn't unheard of in Turkish spots but this was worst than most. The calamari was frozen then fried and you could taste it and the sauce clearly came from a can, actually all the sauces clearly came from cans. The falafel was also obviously not made in house, which was a disappointment to say the least. Turkish food is amazing when it's fresh, made with love and an understanding of culture. I think they ordered anything from Sysco that was Turkish related and just plated it up. Sadly. What a delicious and authentic Turkish meal we had at Bayshore Mediterranean Grill in Tampa! Here's what we ordered: ~oven-baked hummus- hummus with mozzarella cheese, butter, and baked, served with lavash bread (which reminded us of a balloon!) Dipping that in the sizzling, cheesy hummus was a perfect bite. ~Mixed cold small-combination of hummus, babaganush, haydari, and soslu patlican (eggplant). This was a MUST ORDER. Every spread was incredible, but the babanush and soslu patlican were my faves!! ~Arnavut Cigeri (liver cubes)-tender beef liver cubes floured then fried and pan served with herbs. A classic Turkish dish ~Sausage and cheese pie- kind of like a Turkish pizza, but better! homemade crispy crust topped with Turkish sausage and mozzarella. The cheese pull was excellent and I really enjoyed the flavor of the Turkish sausage. L ~Bayshore mix grill-chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb and chicken kofte, lamb Adana, and doner with salad and rice. This platter was a meat lover's dream! The meat was so flavorful! ~Iskender-one of my fave Turkish dishes! layers of Doner served over crispy pita bread topped with chefs special tomato sauce and yogurt.
