Turmeric is a solid Indian grocery store for the area. It is a clean, well-kept grocery store. My only reason for putting it at 4 stars is the prices are high to me and the selection sometimes random but I suppose that is to be expected of an Indian store particularly here in Colorado. Maybe I can't handle spending $4 on a small bag of chakali but maybe that's where it's at now these days. Also selection in the frozen foods area can be a bit all over the place whether it's the desserts, samosas, or patra, etc. But, again, I've seen this before at other Indian stores across the country so perhaps it's a distribution issue. Nevertheless, I'm happy with Turmeric and will consistently go there for my Indian grocery needs. I enjoy my brief, awkward social interactions behind our masks with the gentleman that works there. read more

This store has so much potential but is never kept up. It seems like the owners are not interested in the presentation of the store. Poorly stocked, never faced up, pallets on the floor. They had everything I could want to prepare a small Indian meal. I didn't know there were like 10 different sauces for chicken tikka masala- is having too many choices a bad thing? Prices were good and the place was neat and clean. I also bought frozen naan bread and it was really good (2 minutes to heat up in the oven). read more

I think you can get pretty much any Indian ingredient you are looking for here. It is a surprisingly large store with a very nice selection of ingredients. And - lots of pre made frozen meals. These are actually good and tasty. An easy introduction to different flavors. One you try them, you can learn to make them on your own. I went for a jug of salty lassi. I love this stuff, especially in the summer. Poured over ice or thinned with a little club soda - this is my cool down drink after gardening. I bought a half gallon container and was very happy. Next trip, I hope to have more space in my car to bring home some flours and rice! read more

I dig this little place. Indian food when done well is some of the best in the world, yet it is mysterious to most people. Peel back the layers and get to know what folks in the worlds most populous nation are chowing on by visiting this Indian grocery on Drake. On the value side, they offer spices in huge economical sizes (cinnamon, yo) and you can get a chunk of ginger here for 1/4 the price of other grocery stores. It's also easy to find vegetarian options here, not that I do. They also have some Indian sundries, and incense. I went to Turmeric Indian Grocery quickly to pick up some cumin seeds for a recipe I'm putting together early next week. Easy to find! I could have explored the little grocery store for way longer. Tons of spices, daal, and large bags of rice! The staff was very kind, offering to help in case I needed help finding anything! Found everything I was looking for and was really excited about the quantity/price.. especially comparing it to a conventional grocery store. Staff was kind and helpful. What a pleasant surprise to visit tumeric, this is everything Indian and middle eastern selections and such a huge variety! I would even go as far as this place carrying some African items as well. Had a very nice cold section and, a small produce selection you can package yourself. Prices are decent and all the daily staples of Indian goods can be found here! This place carries some spices of other Asian cultures in Indian packaging as well. read more

I left all forms of payment in a jacket at home today, and the owner kindly allowed me to return later to pay for my groceries! #OOPS! So kind. They are the best. The staff are very attentive, friendly and are ready to help you whenever. I am happy with this store cause they don't sell expired goods and have lot more variety of Indian vegetables, pricing of the product is good too. The quality and range of products in this store is excellent. Store is very spacious. The prices are very reasonable. The items are organized very well with prices and expiry dates well marked. They provide proper itemized receipts for the things purchased. The store is located at the heart of Fort Collins and is easily accessible by any mode of transport (located at biking/walking distance from CSU) Very helpful for Student Community. I ordered some items from Wish and had them delivered there as a local pickup option. I went in on December 3rd to pick up some gloves that arrived there yesterday, I had another wish package there (a ring I had ordered end of October for my sister who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer) I was NEVER informed the item had arrived there by either Wish or the employees of the store. He would NOT give me my package without the QR code (didn't have the code as I was never informed it had arrived) I showed him my orders where I had been waiting for that order (wish said it was still in transit) and that I had paid for it (and got a refund since it was "lost in the mail", however on order history it said if package showed up I could still have it) I showed him all the proof I had that I ordered that and was waiting for it, he STILL would NOT give me my package!! When we asked what he was going to do with it he said "I can only hold it for 3 weeks (it arrived October 31st to his store, so it's been well over 3 weeks) and that he was going to "send it back to wish" I am sure he's going to put it in his store for sale now!! That was a freaking gift for my sister and that asshole would NOT give it to me even with all the proof I had that it was mine!!! Absolutely will NEVER do business with them again!!! If you go in there and see a pretty light blue Cross ring for sale it's mine!! I definitely DO NOT recommend doing a local pickup from wish with them at all!! read more

This place is well organized and has a great selection of non-perishables (rice, beans, chutneys, other jarred & canned ingredients), frozen goodies, and fresh stuff. The okra looked beautiful. The spices are a huge bargain compared to buying the little bottles at your standard supermarket. I stocked up on good basmati rice, spices, frozen paratha and naan, and ghee. read more
