Even the simplest requests seem to put them in a bad mood. No "hello," no "thank you," and they can barely be bothered to respond when you thank them. Whenever you need help, employees seem to actively avoid making eye contact with you. If they hate their jobs and their customers this much, they would probably be better off quitting. I've been shopping at this Safeway for three years, and I have never experienced customer service this consistently unpleasant. The 2.7 Yelp rating honestly doesn't surprise me at all.

It feels like they really did listen to customers needs. 5lbs bag of broken rice under $5 is perfect for porridge. Vermicelli $2.29 and Rice noodle pack $2.99. Not bad at all. No lines or crowds before lunchtime on weekdays. Grocery items are considered costly and overpriced at most 99 Ranch stores. I'm glad to see more sales signs/labels here. Good set up. Peaceful walk. Staffs appear happy in what they do here. The Chinese New Year items are worth browsing through during quiet January month.
