Some people would say "well, why even get fried shrimp at a BBQ place?" and I'd respond "why do they HAVE fried shrimp if it's not any good?". Maybe their storied BBQ pork is indeed better, but there should not be dishes due to a lack of quality to avoid at a restaurant which prides itself on a supposed farm-to-table ethos, either. The service was haphazard, I had to go and find my waitress to get my check. The interior is country charm but a bit overdone--it's a large restaurant and spacious interior and yet they seem determined to crowd it in every way possible. I like country, down-home, places but this feels like they're trying way too hard at that ambience. I may give them another try sometime, get some real BBQ, but just a lot on this visit that I found substandard and disappointing.

The ribs are delicate and fall off the rack, with an intense Smokey flavor. The wings are their signature dish and also rather incredible. People are nice and there isn't much more one can ask for.
