Just got off the phone with Turner Pest Control and was muttering to myself, "you've got to be kidding me"? I am very accustomed to service companies that use their computer systems to track business and schedule appointments, but, when those systems supersede common sense or reasonable communication it overshadows most of their product expertise. These folks might be very good at Pest Control but their unreasonable computer system and service policies makes them difficult to hire. I will certainly encourage my housing development to find another (more reasonable) pest service. read more

I started using Turner for my lawn needs..Had a good number of weeds.Two thirds of my lawn has good grass (St.Aug) My back yard has a lot of dollar weeds(very small back yard).The inspector noticed I had moles and needed to take care of that problem.I agreed.$180.00 one time service..I still have MOLES,one half of my back yard dying dollar weeds other half doing great good and green..I started this service 2/18/2019.I have call 904-355-5300 and no return calls..Called the inspector (3 times) 904-415-4215 He is off or at a meeting call the 355 # no return call.Called to speak to a Manager not in will return me call 24 hours later still waiting for call back.I call again the next day ask for that manager( He is sick) will have another manager call me (waiting).My problem is my lawn.It is bad when a NEW CUSTOMER gets this poor service.. read more

Zero Stars is the review I give. A year ago I paid over $700 for pest control due to a rat issue. They came out and set traps and then disappeared. I had to call them to pick up the dead. I ended up doing my own pest control with far better results. BUT, I paid for one year. Unfortunately, on March 17, 2021, while still under contract I found evidence of more rats. A very nice guy came out & set a bunch of traps. I also asked him about their remote device which doesn't appear to be working (in fact they came to replace it once & it still doesn't appear to be doing anything). He knew nothing about it. He PROMISED ME to come check the traps in 3 days while I was away. My dogs were also kenneled making things much easier. I returned from my vacation late last night. It was CLEAR he was never here. A dead and decomposing rat is still in my garage. I called Turner this am. No appointment but a promise someone would "call me back". No call. Dogs were kenneled at additional expense all day waiting for the visit to remove the dead & check the rest. After all, I was contracted for COMPREHENSIVE pest control. I have no choice but to say NEVER USE TURNER! I sent an email telling them I gave them a second chance & they again, did NOT DO ANYTHING. I have retained an attorney. I plan to get my money back ($745 approximately) dollars so I can hire someone like "Quick Catch" (no relationship to me whatsoever) but they came over to plug all the entry points. Mass confusion dont do it. Was told service would have to be every 30 days because I have zoysia grass. Came the first time then skipped the next month and then after service came back in 3 wks then 2 wks and I said no thats too soon. Promised they would be back the next month. No call no show even though I called and verified on the day it was scheduled. The the secretary had the nerve to tell me they dont do any yard service more than every 2 months. Well then give me back because you were here 4 times 3 months! Stay away from them. You will only get frustrated with everyone giving you a different answer. read more

This company should get zero stars, but Yelp won't let you do write a review without giving at least one star. My review is that under no circumstances should you consider using this pest control company. Not only is their service basically useless (after a year I have ant infestations inside the house, as well as spiders), but when I went to cancel the exterior "mosquito service" which failed to keep the mosquitos away, they instantly issued a false service report and bill saying that they performed service again this morning at 8:00 a.m. despite having performed the same service 6 days ago. There was no one here this morning as at the very time the service report claims the technician was here, my husband was outside with our dog. This was just their deceitful way of getting yet another $50 out of us just because we cancelled the service. Once you are a customer, you will have to wait on hold anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes just to speak with someone. By the way, I am not a Florida newbie. I have lived in south Florida previously for 19 years and the pest control company I used down there charged me almost half of what Turner is charging for interior pest control and I NEVER saw a bug inside my home. DO NOT USE THEM. Any positive reviews are likely plants made by Turner because anyone who has used them doesn't have anything very nice to say about them. read more

I just moved into a new rental that had evidence of rodents, roaches and termites. My landlord gave me the green light to find a pest control company to assess the infestation and come up with a game plan. Chris came out the same day I called and was very thorough in his assessment; had a detailed game plan to move forward to eliminate the pests and a good maintenance plan. Their pricing is VERY affordable. The next step was to have actual pest defender employee come out to spray and set traps. The first person canceled on me the first day and then tried to push me back several more days on the following expected day. I contacted Chris and he was very apologetic and had a different person out the very next day. Jesse came to service my account and again; very professional, knowledgeable and amazing customer service. This company cares about their customers, does a wonderful job and is reasonably priced. I have been a customer since I believe somewhere around Aug of 2014 or 15. 5-6 years ish. Not a long time, but awhile anyway. For the most part, I have been happy with the service they provide, with the exception of a few communication issues. However, today I had to end our service. I have dogs, large, trained, and very protective German Shepherds. I have asked Turner to provide me with a simple email to let me know the day they are coming so I can secure said dogs. There have been times where they say that they are coming and so I lock up the dogs only to find that they never showed up, so my dogs spent the day secured when it was not required. Kinda of a big deal, but ok. Today was the second time that they just "Showed Up" without notification. Thankfully no one was hurt because my dogs were in the house un-secured. Well my problem today was this is the second time they did this and my dogs (Doing what they do,protecting my home) tore up yet another set of $150 ish set of blinds. Is it a big deal? To me it is when all I ask is an email or phone call or maybe a text letting me know so I can avoid all this. Im now down $300, plus whatever they are charging me for todays service lol. I spoke to a supervisor today about it. Nice guy, however, all he was willing to do is say he is sorry and he will make a note on my account. LOL, there's already notes, ive been with them for 5 or 6 years!! I was expecting maybe a credit on my account, or something like that. I didnt ask them to replace anything, but maybe just a credit or something... Well, im sorry to say, I ended the service due to (In my opinion) questionable customer service. Bummer read more

I would not recomend this company to anyone, from the get go they were deceptive with pricing and then they do not run payments when they are suppose to and then slam you with a delinquent notice months later, then they trick you into signing a contract that ypu do not see until after you sign it and then find out they are billing you for services ypu dod not agree to, so you call them only to be told ypu are still going to be robbed by them because you signed a contract you did not agree to. I would not use Turner Pest Control again. I also used them for lawn service. One day they came to do my lawn and I happened to be home and spoke to the technician and complained about the brown dead areas on my lawn and his response was a shrug of his shoulders. The technician left my property after no more than 2 minutes and claimed on his time sheet that he was at my house for a half hour. So after my bad experience with the technician I decided to cancel my service with them and start with a new pest and lawn company. I called and cancelled my service and got a call from a regional manager named Denver, he left me a message and I called back 2x and left him messages but never even bothered calling me back. The one thing they did bother to continue is to charge my credit card for another month. I have already called my bank and disputed the charge but when I called Turner they said I would hear from the Regional Manager (again) and again nothing ...... But my sister told me about this company-my one last chance you can say and yes I got lucky this time because the way they handled my problem is an exception. No extra fee nothing just easy to handle service. They advised me about the sprays and oils, once guided me through the phone how & what to do. Had a problem with bats that were roosting under a piece of metal outside my chimney. I had about 10 and my neighbor had 30. I know they are "good for the environment" but over a 6 month period two had entered the house and removal was difficult. Also, they left a nasty guano under the ledge. I needed them gone. I consulted four companies for estimates. Pest Shield's was the lowest. Plus my association manager had used them before and recommended them. Bats are a protected species and can only be extracted during certain months of the year, so the first day that was possible they came and put a one way net over the area of infestation. They also put foam in the areas where the bats were not roosting eventually filling in the whole area with a black foam.. Anyway, one week later, all the bats seem to all be gone and I'm resting easy. I'm giving them five stars because they not only managed the problem at a reasonable price, but both the office staaff and owner, who did the extraction, were efficient and very easy to contact. read more

He solved a huge ant problem that we had in our new house that apparently came with the mulch and seemed to be every where. He has been diligent, professional, on time, and always doing what he says and never lets us down. We have come to rely on him because he has provided us with the best service imaginable. We initially hired him for pest control and hired another another company to do our yard and landscaping work before realizing Turner could provide this service as well. pest shield did the tenting of our condo, Very disappointed in the condition they left our home in. the crushed new gutters, bent all ridge vents, removed and misplaced all down spout extinctions. killed most of the plants near the building. when i called and explained, their response was they are not held responsible for any damage. my advise is work with company's that stand behind their work. Quickly after moving into a new place we noticed bugs mostly in kitchen area. Saw a Turner Pest Control sign in my neighbor's yard and gave them a call. Price seemed reasonable so set up appointment and paid for the service. Tech came out to treat inside and outside. Continued to see the same type of bugs. After little over a week called to let them know we still have an issue. They sent same tech out a few days later who spray in the kitchen. Very next day saw same bugs. It had been over a week since second treatment. Called the office on last Saturday to request a refund ( suppose to be a 30 day guarantee). Lady who answered the call was very cold and not sympathetic to my issue. Said she would have a supervisor call me for the refund on Monday. Well it's Thursday and no supervisor call. I call again today and got the same cookie cutter answer, "the supervisor will call you". Still no supervisor call and we still have bugs. Terrible customer service and guarantee on their work. I recently moved to Tampa and was horrified to discover just how big the bugs are down here, so I called around for a pest control service to do an inspection of the property. I found Turner. Rates are very reasonable and the office staff was kind, knowledgeable and willing to help. They sent an inspector out immediately. The inspection wasn't a good experience for me, as it turned out to be more of an estimate than anything else...the only downfall is the inspectors are trying to sell you the service and the particular guy assigned to me tried to book routine service for a higher rate than what I was quoted over the phone. Beware of this. But, with a quick call to the office, the problem was resolved and I was offered the original deal that they had quoted me. Service was scheduled almost immediately and the technician, Erik, was prompt, friendly and really went above and beyond to ease my mind about any potential issues. He made recommendations on ways to minimize risk & really seemed to know what he was doing. I had numerous problems with Turner Pest Control and with their service to my lawn. They don't show up when they say they are coming to do service. They changed my appointment 3 times and didn't bother to call to inform us. Poor communications within their Company. I called the Customer Service & Supervisor and they say they will return my calls but don't return calls. The one time I finally got to talk to the Supervisor he assured me that they would automatically do a follow up appointment after service to correct problems but they never did that either. I wrote letters & emailed pictures but they don't respond. Turner Pest Control had my grass patchy looking with different colors from shades of brown, yellow to light green in different areas and my whole side yard was brown. I became very frustrated after several months of them promising to follow up and correct problems which they never did. I didn't have the time, energy or patience to deal with them any more so finally cancelled their service & hired a different Company to fix the mess they did to my lawn. If you decide to use Turner Pest Control - Good Luck and if you have problems with their service get another Company...They are not worth dealing with. read more
