The woman who took my appointment was so friendly and thoughtful. After hearing about my hair type, she recommended Dora, an experienced stylist who she felt would be a perfect fit. That was so appreciated, and it showed me the salon truly cares about its clients. When I met Dora, we instantly clicked. It felt like we had known each other for years, and our conversation flowed so easily. It's a rare and wonderful thing to find a hairdresser you connect with on that level. She made me feel so comfortable and we talked about anything and everything. The salon itself is beautiful--newly remodeled and much larger than my old one. I love the layout; there are spots for clients to chat, but the chairs are also spaced out enough for a sense of privacy. Dora is not only a fantastic stylist but also a great person. She listened to all my stories and even offered some great advice. She also suggested darkening my hair a bit, which has made my eyes pop. It's a great example of her expertise and creativity--my previous hairdresser, who was an expert in her own right, never even mentioned a change like that. What threw me off was when the girl who started doing my hair had someone else belong I guess they have assistants now to help with hair ? Usually when I've gotten my hair down the last it was only one stylist doing my hair but here there's helpers so it's not just the hair stylist . Little confusing when it came time to tip because it's basically an extra person I didn't plan on tipping . The end trust of my hair was definitely how k wanted so no complaints ! Just wish I knew prior to the appointment. I also did not know there was a 4% fee for credit cards. Unfortunately did not see any wording on website to inform me of this fee. Would have paid in cash, but didn't have enough due to $25 add on for full color. Prices vary depending on stylist, so I will definitely call PRIOR to appointment. Please note, there are no prices posted in the store, on a website or in a brochure.

She was corrected in front of me and told she was not fast enough. This was her first day. The tone was very demeaning. Not only was i shocked I will never set foot in that place again. I went there with a Groupon voucher. The description mentioned that the service would be tailored…read moreby senior students under expert supervision at TSPA Howell. However, that wasn't the case when I arrived. The teacher stopped by briefly, spending between 2 to 5 minutes showing the student what to do and left. She seemed quite rude to the student, creating a tense atmosphere. I was the only customer in that large room. I told them I needed to leave in 2 hours for dental surgery, pointing to my swollen face and explaining that I was in pain. The girl working on my hair was inexperienced--it was her first time doing this type of work. She was very nervous and almost shaking--poor girl. Meanwhile, three other students were sitting around, bored and doing nothing. I assume this school isn't free. What a scam! There was no "expert supervision," and as a result, my scalp was burning, and my hair looked awful and burned. It took over an hour to put partial color on my hair, and then I was told to wait 30 minutes before washing it out. After waiting, Ive asked the student to wash my hair. The teacher finally stooped by and noticed the mess on my head and instructing me to wait at least 15 more minutes. Well, I couldn't wait as I had to leave for my surgery, and my scalp was burning from sitting with chemicals for 1 hour and 40 minutes. She refused to let the student wash my hair mentioning that I had signed some paperwork and would leave when she said so. At this point, I went to the washer to wash my hair myself. The teacher was yelling, instructing me to leave immediately if I wouldn't allow them to complete the work and wait, and even shut off the water over my head. "I'll see you in court," I told them as I headed to the first bathroom to rinse the nasty chemicals from my hair with water before my surgery. At this point, three people were yelling and pushing me, accusing me of things I hadn't done. I was crying, shouting that I was in pain, just needed my hair being washed and leave. Unfortunately, no one listened or cared. Worse still, they called the police, accusing me of hitting someone. It was surreal--a nightmare. On my way to my car, they were excitedly taking my car plate numbers while talking to the police. I couldn't wait for the police as I had to leave for my surgery. After the surgery, still in pain , I contacted the police in person, planning to file a formal complaint.
