This doctor does not keep his patients' records unless it's about the dates of your visits. It would have been easier if he had let us know upfront that he couldn't provide us the records of my mother, but each time we asked for it, he was busy dodging the situation by giving us excuses such as "We've recently relocated our office so we'd have to rummage through our records to find it, but we'll find it and get back to you." He even LIED to us that he'd sent the records to our attorney when we visited his office in person to see what was going on. And when his receptionist returned our call to finally give us some kind of an answer, she instead asked us what my mother's initial condition was when she first came in, told us about the dates she received the treatment, and straight up refused to hold a mutual communication with us by telling us how "busy" she was due to the "patients lined up and waiting" in front of her. He also takes in patients when he hasn't fully sobered up from the alcohol he drank the night before. We could smell the alcohol at many of our visits. This whole place is a joke.

I wanted to share an update to my previous review based on how my experience progressed over time…read more Unfortunately, the quality of care declined significantly. Appointments were often delayed or running behind, which I can understand to some extent. However, what became more concerning was the change in the sessions themselves. What were once 20-40 minute, attentive treatments shortened to around 10-15 minutes. On multiple occasions, the doctor answered phone calls on his mobile phone during my appointment, and talked during my treatments with the phone in one hand. In one instance, he remained on the phone for nearly the entire session, speaking with what sounded like a repair service, while performing my adjustment distracted and with only one hand. That experience was ultimately a turning point for me. Despite this, I continued going for some time because I was in significant pain and had not found another provider. However, the treatments no longer provided the relief I had previously experienced, while remaining expensive. During one visit, I expressed that I was leaving still in pain, and instead of adjusting further as had been done in the past, I was simply told to schedule another appointment. After eventually seeking care elsewhere, I learned through my insurance company that I had been overcharged consistently. The interaction I had over the phone with the provider felt confrontational and threatening. Although a refund was ultimately issued, I do not feel at ease returning to the office. I'm disappointed that my experience ended this way, especially since my earlier visits had been so positive. I hesitated to update my review, but I feel it's important to share in case it helps others make informed decisions about their care.

His theory and techniques are completely different from any of…read morethe over 20 plus Chiropractors that I have been to in the past 35 years and I have had multiple back and neck injuries since the early 1990's and I was an auto mechanic and a union construction worker. I met Dr. Lloyd only a few weeks before he treated me because a condo that I do a lot of jobs at referred me to him to do some repairs. I asked him what his occupation was because he looked so fit and tanned that I thought he was a carpenter haha!!! After my job at his place was over, I told him about my neck problem and he told me to come to his office and he would fix me in 1 or 2 sessions. I said "WHAT"? He replied "I am as good at my job as you are in yours". Hmmm, I thought, what do I have to lose since I have already been in excruciating pain for 2 months so I made an appointment. I pinched a nerve in my neck because I have to sleep on an inclined bed in addition to a wedge pillow for my acid reflux so it's almost like I have to sleep half way sitting up plus I have so many construction job related injuries. One night I drank too many beers and fell asleep on my side half way down the ramped portion, woke up at 3am to go take a leak and when I opened my eyes, I couldn't move my neck or body out of bed because my neck was bent in a leaning forward sideways position for the past 5 hours. It took me over 5 minutes before I could even sit up and stagger to the bathroom all while holding my tilted head to the left which I could not straighten. The pain was so bad that I could not get comfortable enough to fall asleep every night for weeks so I went for a deep tissue Thai massage which did not help at all because it was not a muscle related pinched nerve. Even driving was difficult because I couldn't turn my head to look behind so I had to rely only on my cameras. I had to get up at night to try to crack my upper back on the kitchen sink counter, hung over backwards into the bathtub, hung from my pull up bar and used tall rollers to lie down on to crack my back, nothing worked. I bought traction devices from Amazon, the Chirp wheels set, this urethane double wheeled device to roll my back on, this acu-shocker pen that shocked where ever you put it, this super expensive Titanium muscle ache lotion and many more useless products. That's how desperate I was. Fast forward to seeing Dr. Kuribayashi. He studied my case history, gave me a long and thorough exam, used an electronic measuring tool that I had never seen. That tool, although I forgot the name of it measured resistance between my vertebrae so he could pinpoint only the affected joints. After that, he pinned down that exact spot on this adjustment table that slides so he only opened up that specific joint without cracking anything. He did this to my neck and to my chronically aching lower back. He also used this machine which used sound or shockwaves (again I forgot what it was called) but I could feel it deep inside when he did my lower back. He did NOT crack, twist, or pop a single joint. Prior to this, every single Chiropractor that I had been to since the early 90's did a standard routine by which they cracked my neck, mid back, lower back and sometimes the sacrum. Basically they all did the same thing with slight variations that only felt good at the time and made me addicted to cracking everything yet the pain never went away for more than a half a day. Some of them even asked for payment in advance for the next year to show my commitment!! What a joke!! Now I see why so many people continue to go to Chiropractors who crack everything just to get you hooked on temporarily feeling good but never fixing the cause of the problem. It's called "job security". Anyways, Dr. Lloyd told me to let him know in 2 to 3 days if the pain was still there. Well, on the morning of the 3rd day, I woke up and went about my normal routine without even realizing that the pain was completely gone! It was only when I was repairing a drywall ceiling later that day did I realize that less than a week before, I couldn't even look up much less raise my arms. Incredible!!! Keep in mind that I do condo renovations and repairs so when my neck was sore for the 2 months, I couldn't even install a disposal or hang drywall without help or long rests. I had to give away cabinet and flooring jobs that would've earned me thousands because I just couldn't do it due to the neck pain. Dr. Kuribayashi is a one of a kind Chiropractor (DC) and I mean it. First time in my 35 plus years of going to Chiropractors that a single session really worked without cracking a single joint. It has been 3 months and 2 weeks since seeing Dr. Kuribayashi and the pain has not come back in both my neck and lower back I only write reviews for either outstanding businesses or downright terrible ones. Won't waste my time or effort on mediocre ones.

Dr. Kuribayashi is an old school guy who does what he thinks is right for his patients, not just what will make him more money. He does his best to address your issue in your first visit and won't just do adjustments you don't need. He's not the guy that will have you coming back unnecessarily like many chiropractors these days. He's also super affordable! Dr. Kuribayashi also was great about giving me tips to help prevent re-injuring myself in the future. He's an educator at heart and wants to teach his patients how to stay as pain free as possible. If it wasn't clear, I absolutely recommend Dr. Kuribayashi as my first and only choice for chiropractic care! In the couple of years since my initial accident, I've gone back to him a few times after doing something to throw my neck out again, and he always gets me feeling like new, in one single visit.
