My experience w/Turning Point Chiro Mililani - Called the front desk to inform them I was running late for my son's 1st chiro appointment. Told them I would be approximately 10 minutes late and if I should still come? The receptionist said to come and my son would still be seen for his appointment. Crisis averted! We get there and my phone rings as I open the door to the office, I tell my son to check-in. I answer my phone and its receptionist. We walk-in and she tells me we are CANCELING your appointment. Perplexed, I said "WHAT?". She replied "you didn't do your online paperwork!" FALSE. I did the excruciating long kiosk patient intake form that was provided in the appointment email. I was told my paperwork was missing at my first appointment and then they were mysteriously found. Long Story Short - Manager insists that they are CANCELLING the appointment, even though they said to come. So I say...."Keep my $20 (they charge $20 upfront when you make the appointment), Cancel my appointments (6 total for Feb) and Cancel my husbands appointment (1 confirmed and 3 pending for Feb). Their Home Page claims the following " We are a patient-centered, family-oriented chiropractic and holistic-health organization focused on alleviating immediate symptoms with the goal of creating long-term wellness and improved quality of life." How does a patient-center, family-oriented business cancel an appointment as we walk through the door - remember I called to say we were running late, I was assured it was not a problem, and was literally 10 minutes late. In my opinion, your "rules and policies" out weight healing patient care as demonstrated and contradicted on Monday, 2/7/2022. In addition, between my husband, son and I, we had 10 appointments for the month of February. Each appointment according to my HMSA report to member has an eligible charge of $222.79. This is a grand total of $2,227.90 of revenue just for the month of February!!! What kind of prudent business decision is that?! I'm so confused as what business model they have chosen. My son did not receive any patient care and you don't need the revenue to run your business....hmmmm. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Dean for a few weeks now and I am extremely pleased with the results for my back problems. I've had ongoing back issues for the past 2+ years with limited relief from military and civilian specialists. Dr. Dean listened to my concerns and conducted an in-depth screening on my back and recommended a specific treatment plan for my issues. After the first initial visit my back felt so much better. I have an extreme amount of workload that is very harsh on my back (including mild scoliosis and mild arthritis in my spine), and I am convinced that this is the best place I could have went for relief. I was a little nervous at first however, Dr. Dean explained each movement that he conducted on my back and it made me feel more comfortable. I highly recommend TPC for chiropractor needs. I have a long history of sciatica along with herniated discs & when I had a flare up this past week, I wasn't able to get a last-minute appointment with my family's chiropractor that I have been under the care of for 18 years so I came to this location as a last resort. I was honest with the receptionists and expressed my concerns of seeing a new Chiro (only because I've had some bad experiences in the past and one little mistake in this industry can result in huge ramifications to one's body). The receptionists were awesome and immediately fit me in. I was in so much pain and on the verge of not being able to walk. Dr. Shaun immediately reassured me and demonstrated to be extremely skillful. After the 2nd visit, I asked if they had a roller bed or that thing that rolls under your spine because that's what my other Chiro used to do and my body responded well to it. The staff comped that service and the TENS unit because I wasn't offered it on the 1st visit but explained that it's $15 added on if I ever wanted it in the future. I come for my 3rd visit and Dr. Shaun provided the absolute BEST adjustment I received in my ENTIRE LIFE! I was now completely healed from the issues that I first came in for and was so grateful. He even celebrated with me and it was at that moment I decided to make Turning Point my new Chiro even if it meant giving up my loyalty to another after 18 years. I'm tearing up and walking to the front desk to pay and the biller tells me if I'm familiar with the charges and I'm like, "Yes, $60 for the adjustment and $15 to add on the roller bed & TENS." She then tells me that even if they're out-of-network with my insurance that I would have to pay $60 (adjustment) + $35 (roller bed) + $15 (TENS) because they need to bill my insurance that amount even if the cash pay rate is only $15. She comped this again because I told her I would not have did that if I knew I was given incorrect info the last time. I just celebrated with Dr. Shaun and had tears of joy thinking I just found my new Chiro for life only to realize that at the end of the day he works for a corporation that is strictly business. How am I supposed to front $110 each visit x 3/week. That's $1,320 per month. It was just a rollercoaster of emotions for me. Dr. Shaun, if you're reading this, I am so grateful for you and wish I could afford getting the "best adjustments ever" but I'll just have to come as I can. You are exactly what Hawai'i needed in a Chiropractor and if you ever decided to start your own practice here, just know that you have won the hearts of many because I bet every one of your patients got to experience how awesome you truly are and you will without a doubt thrive on your own! read more

My husband and I have been coming to turning point chiropractic mililani for about 2 months now. We always leave with a smile. Dr.Pacada and Dr.Lily have been nothing but great to us. Turning point has been a real "turning point" for me. Before coming here I had been in constant pain in my hips and back, barely able to carry my 4 year old or even play outside with him. Anything from sitting, standing, sleeping (not sleeping) to walking was painful. I started to feel physically sick due to spinal nerve pain and inflammation. I gained weight due to lack of mobility. The doctor here saved my vacation. I was visiting Oahu with my wife and went on a really long hike. I've had lower back problems for several years, a bulging disc from a weight lifting accident when I was younger, and only have occasional pain. But I must have pushed it was too hard or done something during the hike that made it worse, because the next morning i couldn't get out of bed my lower back hurt so bad. we had four more days left in our vacation and I was worried i wouldn't be able to do anything. i seriously couldn't walk. so my wife Googled local chiropractors and found Turning Point. One of the doctors literally had to help me from our rental car to the office. They then got me on the table and made one adjustment and I felt relief immediately. the doctor made a couple more minor adjustments and then showed me some stretches and exercises that i could do back at our hotel and at home to prevent this from happening again. Vacation saved! And with the exercises they showed me, I've been virtually pain free since! We went to the beach that afternoon and had mai tais. So thankful we found these guys! read more

Set up was fast, found an ad on Facebook and was able to create an appointment about two weeks in advance. However, the lead up to the appointment was disappointing. My mom and I made different appointment times at the same sign up but did not remind us who's appointment is which at a timely matter. Also, 30 minutes before my appointment, I was called by the office that a referral is needed from my PCP, which was not explicitly mentioned to me during my appointment set up. If they have called me one day ahead i would have been able to get that settled on time, but it usually takes a week to do so for my PCP, so the reminder 30 minutes before appointment time to get the referral is very unreasonable and inconvenient. Then, they mentioned if i want to keep the appointment without the referral , i would need to pay out of pocket $100 on the spot, with that said I decided to not make an appointment until further notice. When my mother arrived to go for her appointment, her commute all the way from Salt Lake, (refer to my comment about the unclear appointment times) the office wouldn't let her have her appointment because hers was in 8:15am, when in the reminder it mentioned 8:30am. Despite the availability on the 8:30am timeslot (because that was MY appointment that i Canceled because of the issue with the inconvenient demand for a referral minutes before the appointment) , they still wouldn't accept her to do her appointment. My mom has an issue with sciatica, so a chiropractor would be most beneficial for her treatment. For her to drive all the way to Mililani and then not being accepted despite available spots just comes to show that their main prerogative is to have as many client as possible in their roster, not treating the clients to get better. read more

I just saw Dr. Anson, apparently he's new. Worst chiropractic experience ever. He could barely crack my back, neck, shoulders. And it was so half-assed and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. He even asked if I had anything concerning and I told him my lower back and shoulders are killing me and he did nothing to help with that. I actually feel more tense now than I did before the appointment. So disappointed. I called customer service to get his name since I forgot and I told them about my experience and the girl tried to use today being a complimentary appointment, because of patient appreciation day, as an excuse to why it was a half-ass adjustment lol way to make your patient feel appreciated smh I'm giving it 2 stars because my other experiences were not too bad, not the best either considering how fast their appointments are.
