I'm used to studios having showers so leaving in my sweat clothes isn't ideal for me but it's not deal breaker. Our instructor was great! She was subbing for the main teacher but she did great. Easy to follow and she made sure to call out cues clearly through her headset. I will say i want to come back and try the reformer next. I like that they offer a variety of classes because of that reason i will return!

I loved the class so much that I ended up getting a membership--even though I live 30 minutes away! That's how good it was. Highly recommend this studio and definitely recommend taking a class with Anna!

First, giving MY opinion on instructors I have taken that YOU hired is not being a Cyber bully. I think you should look up the definition before you use words. I clearly stated, and will state again that yes, I had a favorite instructor, Jenna, who is no longer with the team. I am all for experiencing new instructors as long as they know how to guide positions properly. I believe you should take a look at your cameras during the days I made comments to see how CLEAR instructions were NOT given and people were lost. So while you may stand by your new instructors, as you should, you should also make sure to listen to clients feedback instead of replying with responses that make no sense. NOTE: The 'business owner' states I shouldn't come back due to giving my opinion. Not to worry, due to the other instructors not being my cup of tea, as also nicely mentioned, I have already planned on never going back ...but with that type of response, thank you for showing me what type of management your company has as a whole as now I know I am making a great choice on where I spend my time and MONEY.

The studio is clean and the reformers are slightly different than the ones I'm use to, but in a good way! It has much more options, straps, and just things you can do on it. Pilates here is honestly what I credit with getting me back to running without pain after taking years off post-kids and dealing with a hip labral tear. The work I've done at Tribe has strengthened and stabilized my core, pelvis, and hips so well that I'm currently training for my second marathon, which still kind of blows my mind. I started at the Santa Monica studio, just blocks from my house, and while I'm really bummed that location is closing, I'll be making the Mar Vista studio my go-to. The space itself is really cute, and every instructor I've taken has been knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely invested in good, safe movement. The only downside is parking--it can be frustrating, and the meters out front aren't smart meters, which somehow makes it even more annoying. That said, it's still absolutely worth it for the quality of instruction and how good my body feels. If you're looking for Pilates that actually works, especially if you're rehabbing, postpartum, or an endurance athlete, Tribe is a gem!

The instructor didn't seem very nice, but perhaps she was irritated that I hadn't come early. She told me to sign in and I went to get my shoes and she yelled over at me again to sign in. I let her know I was just getting my shoes. An older woman came in around the same time I did and like me,!85 was her first time. The older woman was already starting to register, but seemed to be having difficult time. She said she couldn't see well so I helped her input the information needed to register. The instructor walked over and seemed exasperated at us, then turned up the music with the speaker right next to us. We were both taken aback and quickly finished registering though it was hard to hear each other. The class itself was pretty good and the instructor corrected people at times. She did seem to be good with the pregnant woman in the class, so that was nice to see. All in all, I thought it worth it to go, just make sure to be early and don't expect a super friendly instructor.

I'd been working with Theresa for about a year and a half, three times a week, and trained up to the point I entered the hospital. Today, is 3 weeks from my surgery. My recovery has been unbelievably smooth and quick. Everyone, from my docttors to my physical therapists, are blown away by how well I'm doing. This is my eighth major surgery in seven years, and most of them were extremely difficult to recover from. When I told them all about the work I had been doing with Theresa, and explained how she had modified exercises for me, every single one of them credited her for the speed and quality for my recovery. She truly made the hugest difference in my life. In fact, my surgeon's office told me they wanted me to not just have follow-up tphysical herapy, but also instructed me to start working with her again right away,, and not stop. When a neurosurgeon actually compliments the work of a pilates instructor, you know they're special. No one will take care f you the way Theresa does. She is a bona fide healer.

She did 10 session under 2 months. She pushed hard, took guidance on food and added cardio only the last week :) So proud of her.

He was supposed to sing until 8:30pm but he went a little bit over; however, the park employees stuck to the agreed upon time and shut the restrooms down around 7:45pm. I think porta potties were available. The issue with this park is the parking. Every year they host a big singer in the music industry for their summer concert series but they never have ample parking. I think the city needs to invest in shuttle service and rent out a big lot so people can park remotely and hop on a shuttle to the concert. They can charge a fee to park which would get more people to ride share. I did find parking at the Chase Bank for $13. I got there at 5:45pm. So hunting for parking shouldn't have been a thing. There aren't many trees there so make sure wear sunscreen and wear a sun hat. There were food trucks there for the event. I just stopped at Trader Joe's which is right next to the park. The backdrop is beautiful of the boats in the marina. I will still come but they need to address the parking issues.

The locker room is what you'd expect in a facility open to the public, but the pool itself, water quality, staff attitude and lifeguards are all first class. The pool water temperature and chlorine levels are nearly always right where they should be. At times when I've forgotten my goggles, I have completed my workout without great eye discomfort. Currently, October 2022, the pool is not open as many hours as it was prior to the pandemic. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the pool is divided in half with four lanes for laps swimmers ; the balance of the pool is reserved for recreational swimmers. There is a diving board for those that pass the swim test. Be sure to check the schedule before heading to the pool as swim lessons can intrude on lap swimming lanes. Children's and adult swim lessons are offered for a modest price, and the classes tend to be small. Most all of the staff wear face masks at all times. As of now, masks are not required for entry. The entry fee has varied over the years, but it has always been very affordable. Right now, 2022, seniors get in for one dollar.

I write this review with trepidation because I do not want this pool to become crowded, but I've…read morebeen searching for a good local pool and hope that this review can help others who are doing the same. This pool is located on the campus of Venice High School, and is open to the public during various hours (see website for details). Also, it is the only indoor pool in that area that I know of beside the one at the Santa Monica 24 hour fitness. The locker rooms, like any public pool, leave much to be desired, and are built like concrete bunkers. The walls and floor are all concrete, thus cold pools of water cover the entire floor and it is freezing in there, especially when you're wet. However one thing I liked was that rather than having actual lockers, there is an attendent behind a cage window that you hand your items to kind of like a coat check. They also have these mesh bags that you can use which hang on these metal poles they set up so that you don't have to put your stuff onto the wet bench or floor. Once you put everything in the bag you simply hand it to the attendant for you to get later. This way you don't have to cram everything into a little locker or worry about bringing your own lock. There are also lifeguards on duty and they have kickboards and poolbuoys available for use. The structure itself is also very well ventilated so though it gets colder than a smaller building, there is less of that strong chlorine smell. All of the attendants and lifeguards on duty are friendly and helpful. The crowd is mixed, though I would say it skews toward the older side. All in all, this is a great place if you're looking for a no frills swim. While you do have to suck it up while you're undressing/dressing before and after swimming if you're going during the colder months (and wet floors and benches are annoying), the pool is spacious and well kept. I also love that it's less than 2 miles from my apt.

LA is difficult to find good Pilates classes and a classical approach to the teaching. This studio is the closest I have come to real seasoned authentic Pilates training (not the hybrids that are all over LA and mostly just fitness based without any real principles of Pilates). It's a relaxed vibe which I like and Robin is friendly and supportive. I would like to see more classes added -- an issue with most studios in LA who cater to expensive privates rather than group classes. But I enjoy the workout here and especially like the new location! read more

Found this studio online, as was staying local - on holiday! And wow what a treat! - was so good I came back twice. A superb studio with amazing instruction. The small class size makes for much better 1 on 1 experience and Robin is fantastic. I thought I was good at pilates, but after 2 sessions with Robin I've learned so much more. Robin and her team are fantastic - they are caring, knowledgeable and helpful. They will never make you do anything that you are not ready for or not yet strong enough to do. After two back surgeries, even though the pain had stopped, my back was weak and tight. Turning Point Pilates gave me back my strength, suppleness and symmetry. Robin is a great teacher. Fun but very tuned and attentive to what you need to do in order to get your body stronger. The studio is a cheery place. It's hard work, but worth it. Robin (owner) totally took the initiative to find out what my injury was, even spoke with my PT creating to make sure she was instructors the best training plan for me. We were both taken aback and quickly finished registering though it was hard to hear each other. The class itself was pretty good and the instructor corrected people at times. She did seem to be good with the pregnant woman in the class, so that was nice to see. All in all, I thought it worth it to go, just make sure to be early and don't expect a super friendly instructor.

When we lived in Santa Monica, I was a regular here ... then my knee issue became too painful and…read moreeven with props it became too uncomfortable... I then started to take Pilates and have been doing it for many, many years and I still do. Having a full knee replacement last August, my life has changed dramatically. My ability to do yoga has changed significantly and I was so excited to return to this studio. They have updated their air filtration, (using air scrubbers) and as a Health and Safety Supervisor I was thrilled. The entire studio has the best vibe ever. Everyone who works there are so welcoming and kind. Shout out to Bruce! I took a chair yoga class that was amazing and I left feeling uplifted and so happy I could stretch my body ( especially my knee) in ways I haven't been able to do for years...I bought a 3 class pass which is so reasonably priced so I can try a couple of different classes. Feldenkrais interests me and they have it here. They film the classes ( only seeing the teacher) and you can watch it for free for several days after every class you take... Google it and see all the class options that caters to everyone of all ages! This studio is a gem located on Ocean Park Blvd ( my old Sunset Park neighborhood) and next to Thyme Cafe. I urge all of my westside readers to come and take a class and see what an amazing and inspiring experience you will have. I am so happy to be back! 5 stars and I end with namaste ("the peace within my soul recognizes the peace within yours.")

The instructors are super friendly but will absolutely challenge you to push yourself and maintain perfect posture. Logistics are a breeze: class sign-ups are effortless, the location is simple to find, and complimentary parking is a massive plus. The studio itself is very well-maintained, complete with showers and bathrooms for our post-workout needs! I especially love how they keep us motivated with varied fitness challenges and by celebrating big milestones--like my recent 50th Megaformer class!
