I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Jon always does a great job with my nails. The prices are affordable and everyone there is super nice. I always recommend!

I decided to go to this place with my mother and my sister to take a relaxing day for Mother's Day unfortunately it was not like that to get home my mother noticed that her feet were disastrous, the lacquer did not cover the nails, she called my mother to get an answer since the woman took about 15 minutes to do her feet, my mother calls and talks to the boss and tells her that this woman Karina did not do a good job, but the boss thought she was making an appointment with this Woman, she did not understand what my mother told her and what had happened, for this reason I will never return to this place, poor work and badly educated

I will NEVER go to another nail salon again. I've been going to this place for years now and every time I receive a high quality experience. The pedicures are the best! The massages are worth every penny. I have gotten manicures, gel manicures, uv gel manis etc. and they are all meticulously done. The staff work perfectly as a team and during this pandemic, Hyacinth is so safe! Again, I love this nail salon so much. More places need to be like them.

Paid $45 for sh*t dip powder nails that didn't last 24 hours thanks to Hyacinth nails in meriden

I went with my cousin and the rest of her bridal party the day before her wedding. The bride showed a picture of what she wanted, when they were done, they looked absolutely terrible and needed to be redone. He filed them down (burning her skin and making her bleed) and redid them very basic because she didn't have another 2.5 hours to spend there. I usually get my gel dip powder done elsewhere and I absolutely regret getting them done at hyacinth. Our appointment was at 2pm, I left by 330, by 8pm a nail broke. By 10 am the next day(wedding day) 3 nails looked like absolute crap. I would never recommend anyone get dip powder at hyacinth unless you'd like to waste $45 for a single day of half passed nails. Where in get my nails done, with dip powder, I pay $35 and they last close to 5 weeks because they know what they're doing. Some of the workers were very unprofessional and talking shit about us. Apparently they think all Americans only speak and understand English.

Freshly done? Yea right, they go so far away from my cuticle!

I will start saying this place was clean and give massages at the end of the manicure. I am however not happy and will not be back because I just got the manicure today and it already looks like it is two weeks old. I got the gel because it lasts a couple of weeks and now I feel like I need to get my nails done tomorrow. I asked her to go closer to my cuticles and she didn't listen. I am so mad I spent this money for nothing. I also hate the color, which is my own fault. They didn't have the a display of what the color looked like (like every other place I went to) so I could see what it looked like on a nail.

Here giving an updated review and I still LOVE this nail spa. It's always calm and relaxing. Today I went in for my regular appointment, a spa pedicure and gel manicure. I had the pleasure of seeing Leo and he was literally amazing. I don't want to go to anyone else but him. He was thorough and paid a lot of attention to detail. My pedicure was amazing. He handled his tools well and not once did I feel the little stab of any tool. He did a great job with the foot and leg massage to the point where I started failing asleep. (Lol) My gel manicure was probably the best I've ever gotten. Leo took his time and it shows! I will always return to Hyacinth because of the environment and great service.

Regular manicure 9 days later and still no chipping!!!

My manicure was followed by a back massage, as well as a hand massage with hot towels and stones.

I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. Maybe it was a bad first experience but i won't be returning.

Decided to give this place another try since the name changed and they are right downtown instead…read moreof my usual drive to Meriden. I made an appointment for a fill. They refused do a fill because they said my nails were lifting even though it was a brand new set. I was missing three nails so no problem even tho I didn't think it was necessary. I had previously called and was quoted $45 for a fill with gel polish. When I got my receipt, I was shocked to see that my total was $101.03?! Here was their breakdown: $45 new set $20 to remove existing nails (there were already 3 nails missing) $10 for shape (I asked for coffin, these are square) $10 for length ( ?? these are short) ....so we are at $85. Where's the rest you ask? I also asked,.... They tell me $10 because the polish I chose had glitter in it...what? This is regular gel polish. The rest was tax. Navy initially explained the charges to me however when I questioned her, she walked away and asked someone else to explain it to me. When I advised my nails were short and I chose a regular gel polish, she just shrugged her shoulders. Unfortunately I failed to notice the inaccurate shaping at the time, not that it would have made a difference to them. $101.03 for a regular acrylic full set and my nails are the wrong shape. I guess I'll get them reshaped when I take that drive back to Meriden.
