A review post rescheduled event:…read more Overall, our guests were comfortable, the sound system was good, the room was clean and airy with high ceilings and needed minimal decorations. There was room for our food and sweets tables as well as for a small dance floor which was appropriate for our intimate event with close family and friends. As an event space, the sky tower room delivered all of the things we were looking for. ---------------------- The space was clean, easy to access from the Highway, there was street side parking for our guests as long as they arrived early. The general manager Shanita(?) was there cleaning from a prior event and greeted us at the door at 2pm. It was good that we started the event later (4pm) than our reservation started (2pm) because our DJ had to work with event staff and call the owner because our DJ was having trouble connecting to the system. We followed up with staff onsite to make sure we revived the ice, serving trays, and table linens that were included in our package. We decided not to follow up about using the projector/tv screens after being brushed off when we asked for the other included amenities, but there were two large flatscreen TVs behind the sound booth. There was another event happening at the same time in the smaller room next door and we could only hear them (and assume that they could also hear us) if the front doors were open. At one point a guest from the other party clogged one of the toilets so it was shut down. The site manager was there to direct people to the right room and to shut down the room that was out of service. We started cleanup at 8 pm and we did our best to clear the space of debris that was generated by our event. The contract was very specific about prohibited activities (IE: no tape. No confetti etc) so we wanted to be sure to keep up our end of the deal especially because some of our decorative balloons popped and made a mess. The manager came in at 9pm and let us know that she would handle the rest if we got our items out of the space. We (clearly) did not have the best time negotiating the terms of the rescheduled event especially when we wanted to switch event spaces. Beautiful site. Lovely amenities.

We recently hosted a bridal shower for a friend and it was such a bad experience. The owner or manager was very unprofessional over the phone. The two assistants were incredibly rude. An attitude for literally everything that came out of their mouths. They were also dressed like they were going to hang out (hoodies and sneakers). I was really surprised by this. We also had very little help setting up. They spent most of their time in the kitchen talking to each other. The only thing they really did was serve the food and clean up, but we really could have used their help in other ways. It angers me because people already see the Bronx as a less than ideal part of the city, and I was really optimistic after seeing the space initially and reading reviews, but I guess I was wrong. Overall, if you're going for a space with unprofessional workers that are mostly useless to host your event, you're at the right place.

We each ordered a drink and had a one order of calamari, sliders, and a dozen and a half of oysters. That was all we got to experience as 8:30pm rolled around and we still had no main course. My stepbrother asked to speak to a manager where we he disclosed our frustrations with the service. A non-black family of 4 came in 20 minutes after us, and not only received appetizers, but main courses as well and were properly attended to. My 9-year-old waited 20 mins for a ginger ale. Table full of empty glasses and plates from appetizers as no one come to clear the table. On said dirty table they placed our silverware. My sister asked the sever 3 times for napkin which still had not been given after the silberware was placed directly on the tableb and we still had to request napkins. All to which the manager offered us two bottles of champagne. Where we had three minors (9, 20, and my 18 year sister who's graduation we were celebrating) my stepfather then spoke to the manager again to no resolve, he paid the bill of the little we had and my sister left in tears. Thanks to this place it ruined my sister's graduation day. I'd never return.

I asked him to double-check, and he said he would--but never followed up. At the end of the meal, he ran everything on one check without consulting me, which created confusion for our group. When I questioned him, he claimed that whoever gave me the original info denied saying it, referring vaguely to a "lady or man," which made it clear he hadn't actually checked. On top of that, several menu prices didn't match what was charged, and he blamed it on the system--another excuse that didn't sit right. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and while I understand busy nights happen, the lack of communication and accountability was frustrating. If you choose to dine here, I strongly recommend double-checking your bill before paying.
