There were only 3 children signed up for the "Kids Clay workshop", so there was plenty of opportunity for the teacher to provide one-on-one attention to them. There was not much direction or instruction from the teacher on how to prepare the clay or proper painting technique to use on clay. She did demonstrate how to attach items to clay by scraping. For this age, we felt there should have been more instruction on designing of the objects and directions on how to paint the clay, so when fired, the color would be more vibrant. The color of the completed pieces was very washed out, almost if they had been just painted with water color. The teacher said the project would be ready in 7 to 10 days and that we would receive a text when the pieces were ready to pick up. It took 21 days and we were never notified for pick-up. We had to personally check 3 times to see if project had been completed and was ready to pick up. Very disappointed in the service after paying over $80 for the class.

She's super knowledgeable and helpful during our classes, and adapts the class to our projects. The space is quite big, and has a very nice atmosphere. You can bring food/drinks while you're in the studio, and you can even get some snacks/drinks while you're there. Dogs also roam the studio while their owners are working. Paseo donates a ton of money to local charities which is so sweet. They're a non-profit and you can "vote" on where you want the money to go. I'll probably take another class here. So fun!

And, as an extra option, you can choose to have this creative fun under black lights with glowing paint? Yes please. This cool spot provides you with a poncho, but I recommend wearing shoes and pants that can get messy. The only thing you'll need to clean up is yourself!
