Let us start with the redeeming qualities. My food was warm. Started off with a homemade banana bread we didn't ask for. It was complementary and a nice touch. On to more pressing matters. I knew things were going awry when my friends order came with a side order of cheese doodles. My over medium eggs were about as wet as the snow melting outside. My potato nailed the crispy outside and soft interior but somehow managed to taste stale. Almost refried. My turkey bacon was sad. Felt like one slice cut into multiple pieces. Did i say cut? I meant broken. I asked if I could get a side of lox but they "don't do that here". Which brings me to the worst part of my experience. This godawful woman Toma (had to read the name from the receipt cause she never gave it). Even with a Covid-19 mask I could tell she didn't have any smile. Never checked on us. Never asked if the food came out ok. She was short and rude pretty much the entire time. I trusted the reviews for this place to my own doom. Beware. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem--they need to change the sign! It's a wonderful, inviting atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious! We tried the breakfast sandwich with sausage (they used a really nice sausage), and the smoked salmon panini (which had a perfect humus inside). First visit Will definitely be back. Wife and I had cappuccino. Excellent. Server was great. Did not get her name. Almond biscotti - excellent flavor fresh. I had the egg and cheese croissant - very good. Wife had an avocado toast with bacon AND prosciutto excellent. Our little man had Tuscan French toast. He nailed it. Fresh OJ. Our first time here, Frankie's on Fairview is our normal watering hole. Vasi was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing and expedient in her service. The food was incredible and the real difference between Tuscany and alternative nearby breakfast locations is the pastries and locals setting. The music was perfectly tuned to block out nearby conversations but not loud enough to drown out the table at your conversation. Love love love it. We'll be back again soon. read more

We've been here three times in one week, always leaving full and happy! Even though the plates are filling, they're healthy and balanced, full of flavor. They give you samples of their baked goods like some restaurants give you a bread basket-but better. They're all homemade and delicious. Your appetite-and your eyes-won't be disappointed. Really nice place - stopped by on a whim and couldn't have been more pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and both my reuben and my girlfriend's breakfast sandwich were delicious. The decor was surprisingly charming (you wouldn't tell from the outside!) and, combined with the atmosphere, provided a very relaxing experience overall. Free WiFi means I'll probably be coming back frequently to have a latte (also great!!) and do some work/studying. I can't wait for next time - I'd recommend this place to pretty much anyone. read more

I bumped my rating down to 4 stars due to service the last two times my family has come to Tuscany. We have had a really unfriendly blondish haired waitress both times that didn't bring drinks, coffee, our food out to us, or stop to check in. I had dirty utensils, cup, and plate on our last visit as well as chunks of food not on my dish on my dish. We are taking a break from Tuscany and maybe will revisit in a few months. read more

Had breakfast today with my sister. She suggested Tuscany. Arrived at 8:10 and there was only one other table taken. Our server seated us, took our drink orders and left menus. We had already viewed the menu online and knew what we wanted. Sis had the BLT avocado. I had an omelette. Her sandwich was rather think and hard to handle. She ended up using a knife and fork. The avocado was a spread and a tad lacking. She wasn't thrilled. My omelette was tasty but it was just an omelette. The potatoes were very good. Crispy and seasoned nicely. Server refilled coffee and wasn't in a rush to get us out. The place was quaint and the music was Tuscan inspired. We agreed that we would eat here again and recommend it as well. This morning made it my 3rd time in the Gem of a place. I really enjoyed my parfait. Actually now I finally understand why "Donkey" the Donkey from Shrek made such big deal over parfait. I mean seriously who doesn't like parfaits? It has layers of deliciousness. Anyway back to the little piece of Italy. Which is basically what you walk into, (not that I have been to Italy) but I know that I had a little taste of what Italy would be like. Not only do they play soft beautiful Italian music but the servers ( not all ) actually are from Italy. Not only is the food like art. But the people working there are seriously passionate about their place. You can see it in how they welcome you and how they make each individual table loving with their fresh cut flowers and their delicious La Colombe Coffee. Oh I forgot they serve delicious cake prior to even ordering. Who needs bread when you have cake. Unbelievable which will bring me back to my first comment Parfait, the layers just like cake. I have enjoyed every coffee that I have had, but I will say that the recent latte I had came out almost room temperature, rather than hot as I ordered and the lady that I ordered from had run off to help a customer in the dining room so I wasn't able to ask for warmer milk. Went here for the first time with my family of 6. Establishment is very clean and the staff very nice and attentive. Went here on Black Friday and ordered sausage pepper and onion omelette. The sausage was burn little pieces. I should have eliminated the sausage. Other than that everything was fine and would probably try the place again not on a holiday. I've been here twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Really good food. Service is good and staff are friendly. I would expect this place to be busy with how good it was but it never seems to be. Prices were more reasonable than the comparable Kettle. Only complaint is, the one time I got coffee, it was served luke warm and not hot. Other than that, I can't complain. I'll be a repeat customer here. read more

They get 5 stars for the coffee alone! La Colombe is a fantastic Philadelphia coffee. The dining room is very comfortable and inviting & service is great. My omelette was delicious (spinach, mushroom, onion, & cheese). The only letdown was the bacon - definitely not on par with the food & coffee. read more
