The french toast was perfect, with just a tiny bit of crisp in spot from the griddle. Same with the homefries. I would have liked a bit more seasoning while they were cooking, but a bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. My coworker got the big breakfast but subbed out the homefries for corned beef hash. While I'm not a fan of corned beef hash, it looked exactly like how my mom and grandfather like it, with a little bit of crisp to it. The pancake was huge and he said his over medium eggs were cooked exactly like he hoped they would be. Now I just need to plan out my flights so I can come get breakfast here again and try one of the sandwiches, or omelettes, or maybe get French toast again...

Coffee is strong and served in the old-fashioned heavy mugs that I favor. Our server was friendly. ("Where are you from?" she asked, picking up on my Brooklyn accent.) I miss those days, and even though this is a breakfast-midday-spot, it makes me feel nostalgic when I am served the food that used to fuel me from those all-night-late-night Philly diners. Eggs, perfect hash browns, sausage patties (not links) hot sauce and ketchup on the table. Lots of breakfast items on the menu and I had never considered it before but I saw a couple order orange juice to blend with their byo champagne... so if you are inclined. Anyway, I raised my kids in this neighborhood and many weekend morning was spent at Cedar Park Cafe. It serves the kind of diner food that I remember.
