Had the weirdest experience trying to book a haircut with this salon. The options to book with them…read moreare to call the salon- which I did, and left a voicemail with my information, but didn't receive a reply to. Or to directly message the people on the staff page. There isn't much information about each staff member (one is just a photo of part of a palm tree?). I messaged one girl and didn't get a reply. I messaged another woman who is also listed as the owner, and she told me she would send me booking options as soon as she got to the salon. The next day, after still not hearing anything, I messaged again to inquire about availability to book an appointment. She told me that someone could get me at 12 pm one day, I let her know my work schedule and asked again what their schedule looked like for the next two weeks. She told me to just give her a time. I also clarified that I would be using a Groupon that I purchased for a haircut at the salon, and she then informed me that there is only one staff member who accepts Groupons and that she had been in a car accident, and that I could book again with another stylist who does not accept Groupons, or to text the stylist who was in an accident and ask her. To me this seemed really innapropriate. I asked if she knew when that stylist might be back, as I didn't want to message her outside of work if she was just in an accident, and the owner replied "I'm not sure at the moment, but if you text her, she should respond now because she is home". Like why don't you know what's going on with your employees or have a schedule for appointments? Idk. I cancelled my Groupon, it was such a headache to try to book a haircut, I'm glad I'm not going. Definitely listen to the other reviews before booking.

He was very meticulous, which I really liked. He chats just the right amount - doesn't go overboard. He's patient & takes time to listen to your thoughts & wants. It has a mix of "zen" & IKEA-like furnishings. Prices are extremely reasonable for Charlotte. Their hours are a bit unique, so keep that in mind when making an appointment.

Unexperienced, uneven, overcharged, extremely rude…read more Brought my daughter in for basic haircut- just to trim a few inches off of straight, unlayered hair. Aaliyah took a long time to blow dry her hair, but thought all was ok. When I went to check out they added $21 to the $59 bill because she has long hair. I thought $80 was very steep for this casual salon and junior stylist, but I paid it and left. At home I noticed my daughter's hair was completely uneven. Went back next day and manager tried to fix the haircut, but because it was cut so unevenly she would have had to cut maybe 4 more inches off to fix it, which she said would grow back in a month. I don't know anyone whose hair grows that fast. When I said my daughter was upset with me because she just wanted to get an inexpensive haircut at Supercuts, she laughed. My response was they could not have done a worse job than what we received at Hue. No refund or anything was offered and it seemed like we were laughed at. If they were able to fix it, a refund is not necessary, however if the haircut is unfixable a refund should be offered. Aaliyah was nice, but I don't feel like you can charge $80 for an obviously brand new stylist who can't trim straight hair.

He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me. $398 for highlights and root smudge??…read more Very disappointed in the amount I was charged today for highlights and root smudge and feel it was quite exorbitant for this area and what I received was not at all at any level to justify. My appointment was for full highlights and root smudge. I consider this salon nice but not high end and though the person who did my service is very sweet and did a great job the previous time I visited, they are more junior level. When I asked for the breakdown of my charges, they had a hard time providing them but said I was charged for a haircut, highlights, toner and root color. I did not get a haircut so I said oh, I didn't get a haircut so you need to take that off so they said they would refund $30 which is odd because a haircut is $60. After asked for a call from the manager who wasn't available while I was there, I found that they charged foil highlights ($265), a toner ($45) and $76 for a little root cover at the bowl. I have barely shoulder length hair. The manager wasn't clear on what was charged either so she was going to give me a call back but never did. My total bill with the refund was $365. What's worse is that I have to have it redone. The highlights were not allowed to lift enough and the toner was nothing like what i like or looks good on me. The roots are not dark enough and turned out looking like 'hot roots', nothing like the root smudge I had previously. I hate this happened. This is simply unaffordable even if it were a great color but it was nothing like what I had done before, which I what i asked for when I sat down. Also, I would have probably split up the service or possibly changed to partial highlight had I known the toner wasn't included with the highlight service. After all, you generally don't have one without the other. And, I would've decided to go elsewhere altogether if I had known they charge $76 for root coverage at the bowl with your highlight.
