I had been going to Fresh Salon for a little over 2 years now, I had been pleased with the services I had received from Kris. Kris gave a beautiful cut and a master at the precision bob cut. However, the last 3 times I have gone to see her, my cut has been below par. Once too layered, so as it grew out it looked horrible. The second time left lopsided, the final straw and last time I will ever see her my hair too long, lopsided and over cut with layers. Kris is rough, cutting my neck with her scissors, ripping a mole I have on my scalp. She has a total disregard for service and customer satisfaction. Secondly, the political opinions should be left at the door, no one wants to hear how you feel about politics in America these days. $80.00 a cut, the salon charges a 3+% for using a debit or credit card. My cut not worth $15.00 let alone $100.00. I am sad and disappointed in the decline of what was an amazing hair stylist. This is the last time I will have Kris cut my hair, and after my cut on Friday... I should get my money back, the cut is simply pure crap, I would have gotten better at Supercuts. read more

I had an amazing stylist back in SF, and was nervous about replacing him when we moved to Charlotte. However, I felt reassured that I found a great new stylist after my first haircut with Cris. Cris gave me a haircut that was exactly what I was looking for and that grew out beautifully. I just got my third haircut from her today and don't think I will be able to go to anyone else. Cris is also very relaxed and easy to talk to. I've also gotten my hair highlighted and glossed by Christina, and she gave me the exact color I was looking for each time. As someone with jet black hair, I was nervous about getting my hair dyed, but she did a great job both times. The staff at the salon are always really nice and helpful, and it's so easy to make an appointment. They also carry Davines now, which is awesome. The prices are reasonable. Each time she has done an incredible job delivering the color I want. she is great at asking the right questions to provide the right results. I love Fresh Salon. I told my hairdresser, Cris, if she ever moves, I'm going to have to follow her. The staff is friendly and professional. Everyone is wearing a mask, including clients. They have masks available if you forget yours. They provide hand sanitizer and take your temperature before cutting your hair. I have never been disappointed in the six years I've been a customer. This review is based on one visit. The person who cut my hair had me out of the chair in 20 minutes, and that's counting some chatting, a shampoo, a timeout so this person could get a bandaid because they cut their finger with the scissors, and using the hairdryer to finish. Some might be into a quick trip like that, and I might be too, except the result was an expensive haircut that looked rushed and sloppy and lacked finesse, and even a month later is so disappointing to me. read more

I paid 79 dollars ,including tip and had a horrible cut. The lady who cut my hair was very nice and friendly. But could not cut men's hair. read more

I had my second visit with Makayla today. The first visit was to tame my undercut. This time, a full haircut. She was so attentive and actually gave feedback about what would look good. Other places I've been to, it's just "whatever you want." She was checking in with me regularly (but not in an overwhelming way) to make sure I was still liking the way it was turning out. For reference, she cut a short bob with an undercut, including shaved sides. She was also really careful about my still-healing helix piercings which I greatly appreciated. Very disappointed. I scheduled an appointment for the morning of my prom. I walked in and was told that there was no appointment under my name and that my appointment was scheduled by an employee who had been fired earlier that week. Not sure how that relates to me because that employee was not scheduled to cut my hair. I showed them proof of my scheduled appointment and they still offered me no solutions. So I thought I would try a new place. Based on reviews, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, I left with the worst color of my life. The colorist asked what I wanted and then did not follow through or ask questions to make sure it was going well. I figured she did things in an order I wasn't used to, but apparently I should have spoken up sooner. When I finally realized what had happened, she tried to make it sound as if it was my fault.. I left practically in tears. I asked if I could make another appointment to get what I was hoping for and she attempted once again to make me feel like it's my problem so I decided not to book that appointment after all. I spent quite a bit of money for hair that I now have to go get re-done at a salon I can trust. This place will be a lesson learned and a hard pass from here on out. read more

Loved the staff and the salon looked so nice. They also followed COVID protocols. Everyone was wearing mask which is good and also everything was so clean. I got my hair dyed recently and I showed my stylist a picture of the style and color I wanted my hair to be. It was a balayage in a of mix of gray and blonde sorta but my hair didn't come out the way I wanted to be. It was basically the same style I had before. The salon manager called me promptly to arrange an appointment and see how they could make me happy. I am very pleased with the new results. The colorist, Ehron gave me subtle natural-looking highlights and a more flattering base color. Tia, the stylist, accommodated my request for a minor trim and just cleaned up the overall line so that I could grow it out more. The manager also sought me out during my appointment to ensure that everything was going well. Talk about history repeating itself, wheeewww! Long story short, I got a terrrrrrrrible dye job at a salon in my new city of Atanta. Terrible as in wicked-witch-of-the-west-terrible. I knew I couldn't walk around looking like a wackjob forever so who did I call to save the day? Fresh Salon. I asked for my favorite stylist Jen who had done my hair previously when I lived in Charlotte. However I was told she was getting married and would not be there. (congrats, Jen!) They recommended Kaia for this delightful job. Thank God for Kaia! We had a thorough and honest consultation about realistic expectations for my hair. Obviously we wanted to preserve the health of my hair and work on extracting the god awful dye that was killing my soul and my vibe. She did a color correction, highlights and toner today and friends, let me tell you, I am blown away by the results. My hair looks awesome, still feels healthy, and is attractive once again. Sure, it took 3 hours, wasn't cheap, and my scalp is sore but considering how important hair is, it's well worth it. I cannot impress enough how grateful I am to Fresh. Not only is Kaia a miracle worker, but the gals who booked my appt and I checked out with are sweet as can be. I would not recommend this place for color at all! I made the mistake to go there following the previous reviews, there must be two Jenifers, because the one that took me had absolute no experience on how to color hair ( I should have walked out the minute I noticed her asking for advise to her co-workers) after I explained my fears she assured me that it would be OK and she had 10 years of experience...well, exactly what I feared happened! The color washed orange! I went back for color correction they assigned me to Jose, and now I have a horrible 2 shades of maroon washing off into pink!! So disappointed!! Do not go to this place, it's not at all what their website is set to be and I am not sure what the previous reviews are based on. read more

Super frustrated with my experience. I went to get my hair done for prom and asked for a curled blowout. Everything was great about my experience except the hair. I asked for curls like the picture on the left and the right was what it looked like when I was done. It was completely straight with a weird wave to it!! it looked horrible. Also they don't tip on card so going to get cash or check to bring back was super inconvenient! will not be returning :-( read more

2nd time going to Crystal -she was great. This not a leather couches/lemon water, pampering atmosphere type salon, like Planet 21 in Arboretum . It is located in the center of the Promenade on Providence strip mall and my haircut was $10 higher- then Planet 21. However, I like will take it since Crystal is always on time and doesn't make a lot of small talk that extends your appt. for hours! I called Fresh Salon, and Taylor was very friendly and helpful on the phone, she suggested Cris, for my haircut. I was able to book the appointment within two days, which was great! I arrived with about 7 minutes to spare till my time, and I logged onto their wifi to show pictures of what I would like. The ladies at the front were very kind, as they checked me in.
